 Hey Girls

I hope you're all well and having a good week

Robin, the wedding photos are lovely, it looks like it was a fantastic day, how wonderful to get married in WDW

How did your recital go ? well I hope. And how is the house coming along ? anybody been round to have a look ? :)

Betsy, what are your vacation plans and dates. It's 12 weeks on Saturday till our family holiday, and I can't wait. We've made a couple of dinner reservations - Teppan Edo, Chef Mickey, Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch and Tutto Italia for me and Paul. We made a Palo dinner ressie for when we're on the Dream. We've got main dining (6pm), so we've booked Palo for 7.30pm so we can go down and see the dining room before heading up to Palo

Kelly, miss you loads, I hope life is good and you are all keeping well :)

Hopefully I'll get my trip report finished off by the weekend, there are more pics on Facebook too

Take care everyone ::yes::

Hi ladies.

The recital went okay. The afternoon performance maybe wasn't our finest showing :rotfl: but we lived to tell the tale.

The house selling is going slowly. We have had 4 lookers so far and another one coming tomorrow but so far no takers.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures of the wedding Mandy.

I'm going to have to get back to reading your trip report real soon. Hopefully things will quiet down a bit now.

We are away for the weekend for an airplane competition and combining it with a business trip, so we wont' be back until later on Monday.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Hello Ladies!,
Have a safe trip Robin:wave:

Mandy, :wave2:
We will be going on the 15th, til the 25th of Aug. with 3 Grands, Bill(8), Kateri(7), and Rita(5).
We have a res. at the castle for the girls, and The Garden Grill for Bill, I have a few others just in case we need them, but are really planing on quick-serve for the most part.
I am so excited that we will be staying @ the Poly! Mostly because of the easy transportation. I have a feeling I will be coming back with Rita to rest. I am also looking forward to sitting by the zero entry side of the pool with a frosty drink, watching the kids play, the monorail whizzing by, and the castle in the distance...listening to the Polynesian music......The most awesome way to relax!::yes::
Speaking of relaxing...I'm gonna go watch a bit of TV with Mike:happytv:

Have a great eveningpixiedust:

I'm so sorry that I have not been around much but life just seems to be running at full speed right now.

I'm hoping it will slow down a bit soon so that I can enjoy some of the summer.:thumbsup2

Hello:wave:

We have had a few beautiful days lately, so I have been out doing all the things that have been waiting to get done.
I hope we can get a few more nice days, and maybe I'll actually catch up.
I spent today with Brittany, clearing out saplings from around the cottage at the lake... Let me tell you I'm beat!:faint:

Cally,
The planning is a big part of the fun of the cruise for me...:cool1:
Anything I can do to help you just give a yell!:thumbsup2 I'm sure you will all have a great time!!::yes::

Thanks for taking the time to read my trip report Cally, it was fun reliving it. I love my Mickey & Minnie necklaces, they're from Disney World, you can get them from the Arribas shop at DTD and I've seen them in the crystal shop in Germany, Epcot

Have fun planning your cruise, will you be on the Magic ? where are you heading to ?

Well girls, I have finally finished my trip report. I have been so busy on the UK Community at the moment (finishing my trip report, organising an exchange and hosting the June quiz), so I'm sorry I have been MIA

So, what are you up to this weekend ? Anything nice ? We haven't got much planned, though we're treating Paul to a Chinese meal for Father's Day on Sunday

Have a lovely weekend everyone, whatever you're up to :)

not a lot of exciting stuff happening here this weekend but the weather today is absolutely gorgeous.

I'm really enjoying the lovely warmness of it. :goodvibes

You're welcome... It was fun to read! I will be on the look out for those necklaces next time we are at WDW!

We're doing the 4 night cruise on the Dream this December :cool1::cool1:

Betsy I do have a question about tipping on the ship. I found a thread explaining it all but I'm still kind of confused.

What's the difference between the server, and the asst. server during dinner? :confused3 How many people will we encounter during one meal?

Cally, I can answer your question about servers and tipping.

In the dining room you will have contact with 3 people. Two of them on a regular basis and one on occasion.

First off you have the Head Server. That is the one you may not see very often but they are the ones who are responsible for seeing that everything runs smoothly during meal times. They oversee the server and the assistant server.

The assistant server brings menus, drinks and clears the table of dirty dishes. That sort of thing. They are basically the helper of the server.

The server is the one who takes your orders and serves you your meal.

A tip is generally expected for all three of those people but in different amounts depending on their position.

There is also your cabin steward. They are the ones who clean your cabin daily and see to the turn down service of your beds every night. A tip is also usually given to them for their service during the cruise.

I hope this helps somewhat. If you have more questions please feel free to ask. We will be happy to help you if we can.

Thanks Robin,
You answered that better then I could have.
I just want to add, that If I remember right?????
It is all on a card in your room the night before you dock in your home port.
It will tell you what percent is expected for which positions. It is only a guide line, but the CMs do count on those tips, so they normally give you a lot more attention, then the tips cost.

Robin, or anyone else for that matter,
If this is wrong info, please correct me.

Yesterday I mowed..... .....It was a beautiful day, I hope it continues today, so I can finish.............:wizard:
If its stays nice today I will mow and mow and then mow some more til Im done, then all I have to do is wait another week or so, and start again!.LOL..There are times I wish my yard wasn't as big as it is :faint: I'm getting a nice even tan though:thumbsup2

Have a great day TKers.....(and lurkers alike!(miss you BP! pirate: ))

TTFNpaw:

I am now mowing too Betsy. It has been a busy day around the house for me.

Right now the sun is shining again, so hopefully the rain holds off for awhile longer.

Robin and Betsy, thx for explaining that. That makes perfect sense. It sounds like they have made tipping very convenient and simple. I like that. :thumbsup2

So do they do turn down service nightly even if you don't request it?

I don't know how you ladies do the mowing. The last time I tried to mow the lawn it was a major fight with the mower that I promised never to touch another lawn mower again!!!!!:lmao:

Yes they do turn down service every night...... you don't have to ask. It is just part of the service provided.

As for the mowing, well, I can't say it is something that I do because I enjoy it;) I do it because it needs to be done. I don't have any trouble with our mower. It tends to start much too easily :lmao:

Yay I've never had turn down service.... Other then Roger flipping the blankets over for me :lmao: I'm excited! :cloud9:

It is kind of nice to have your bed all nicely turned down for you.... all ready to crawl in after a night out at the clubs:thumbsup2

 Hey Girls

Wow, it's Friday again, and another week is nearly over (where has the last week gone ?) :)

I've not been up to much, just taking my mum shopping and my zumba classes. I've had a busy morning, I've done my big shop, the housework and cut the grass, and it's only 12.30

So, what are your plans for the weekend ? Anything nice ?

We've got another quiet one. I've got zumba tonight, then as the weather is supposed to be nice on Sunday, we may have a BBQ

Have a lovely weekend girls, whatever you're up to :)

Hi Mandy,
How was your weather? Did ya have your BBQ?...

Our weather was pretty cloudy. We didn't get rain though, so thats something.

Yesterday Albert had a grooming apt.
We had a nice lunch out and did some shopping while we waited for him to get done.
Today we went to Billy and Kateri's first communion, then later a combo first communion party for them both/Birthday party for Billy. Bill's Birthday is July first. It was a fun weekend!

Well Robin, its more mowing for me tomorrow if its nice enough out. :drive:
but thats ok...I am getting caught up now so I can let it go for a few days...after I finish up tomorrow!:thumbsup2

Have a nice night ladies!
