7th January 2007, Dancing Queens Thread CONTINUED

I'm so sorry to hear about your job Betsy because in the beginning you really did seem to enjoy it a lot.

But now you can go back to the fun things that you enjoyed before like your gardening and visiting with your mom more (how is she by the way?) and having time for all of those lovely grandchildren of yours.

Mandy it was very difficult being so far away when she needed me but at least I was able to talk to her. Once she told me that the police car had arrived I felt much more relieved. She was on the side of a very busy, fast moving highway and I was worried about someone else maybe running into the back of her while she was sitting there.

We finished out our vacation but I called a friend at home to check up on Liz for me. She went over the day after her accident and took her to pick up a rental car so that she would have transportation if she needed it. That helped a lot just knowing that there was some "adult- motherly" type person there that she could turn to if she needed it.

Yes we did make it to Disney for one day. Well on Friday we went to Disney property and road the ferry boats and the monorail, just for the fun of it:thumbsup2

Saturday we spent at the Studios. It was a lovely day and I expected with all the spring breaks that the parks would be packed but we were pleasantly surprised. It was busy but not enough to really impact the rides and attractions at all. It was a very nice leisurely day in the park.

 Hey Dancing Queens

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, what are you up to ?

We have had a very quiet weekend, I think we're saving ourselves for next weekend when we head to Cardiff with a load of friends to celebrate my friends 40th birthday :dance3:

Today it's Mother's Day here in the UK. I've got a lovely big Disney box in front of me, but I'll wait till the girls get up before I open it (it's only 9am at the moment), I'll pop a photo on FB later when I've opened it :flower3:

Enjoy the rest of the weekend girls, take care ::yes::

Happy Mothers Day Mandy!
Ours is not until May....

I am doing house work today...and gonna go pick up some seeds for my veggies garden..I start them indoors until its time to plant...this way they get a good head start.
The weather station is calling for 60 degrees and thunderstorms.. I just love watching a good thunderstorm...so this is OK with me...although my yard doesn't need more moisture......squish, squish, squish...

I found a lot of winter kill in our pond this year...but the sadest part is... one of the dead fish was about 20 inches ...I KNOW I don't have many that sized in there...So it hard to see one floating on the top...:guilty: The rest were sunnys, or bluegill (not more then 2-3 inches...) The best way to think about it is something is going to get a few easy meals...;)

Well I hope you both have a great day....Ill be on and off all day...:)

TTFNpaw:

The weather man is calling for the exact same weather here too Betsy. :umbrella:

How sad about your pond and I do know how that feels. I have lost all of the fish in my pond this winter. It must have been a particularly bad winter.

I know that mine is very shallow and unfortunately the water heater stopped working and I didn't know that. By the time I found out I think it was too late and the pond had frozen solid at some point, long enough to kill all the fish :guilty: I have never had this happen since the pond was installed in 2000.

I too had some very large fish but mine were all goldfish and one catfish. I have disposed of all of mine. The stench was absolutely disgusting

If I ever get a new pond it has to be much deeper to help to avoid this sort of this happening again.

Have fun selecting your seeds for you garden.

Good Morning DWDQs,
No plans today...Just cleaning:laundy:

Its the weekend...So I will ask the question, that Mandy normally asks...
Anyone have any big plans for it?....:)
We dont have anything planned that I know of...but things tend to pop up...We will just have to see.:3dglasses

Still pretty cold here, this morning ( 31 degrees), but it should get warmer as the day progresses....SHOULD:rolleyes1.

Well, I hope everyones day/weekend is good!:flower3:

Mandy, I hope you are having a fabulous time with all of your friends.

 Hey Dancing Queens

I hope you've all had a great weekend, we have had a fantastic weekend :) It was my friend Jules's 40th birthday and a big group of us went to Cardiff. The weather was fabulous, and we spent most of the time just chilling in a beer garden chatting. There's some photos on my Facebook page if you want to take a look

Have a good day girls :)

I'm glad that you had another successful weekend, Mandy.

You and your friends are always having so much fun :goodvibes

Hey Dancing Queens :wave2:

Yay ! It's Friday again :)

What are your plans for this weekend ? Anything nice ? After our mad weekend last week, we have got a quieter one ahead of us. Me and the girls have got our zumba class tonight, then tomorrow Paul & I are heading to a rugby match with some friends, then I think we're going for an Indian meal afterwards

Robin ~ Do you still do your dance classes ? I hope so, as I know you really enjoyed them. I also noticed how close the wedding is, what date are they getting married ? Where are you staying ? Tell us the plans again please :)

Betsy ~ Have you managed to get out into the garden yet ?

Kelly ~ Where are you girl ? We all miss you

Have a great weekend everyone ::yes::

Good Morning!:sunny:

Yes Mandy,
I have gotten 2 gardens cleaned out so far ...and ready for mulch...with 3 or four more to do...
What a mess though, between the fact I have done nothing in them for two years and after the plowing of the snow in my driveway all winter..I had a pile of shale on top of all the overgrown weeds I had to pull...I am for sure getting my exercise....LOL
The other gardens should be a lot easier as they are not by my driveway...I have also got to make my new veggie garden, but that wont be til later in the spring...I do have the seeds planted in my starter tray...they should start showing themselves in a week or 2....:thumbsup2

Right now though I am just trying to get everything cleaned up for our egg hunt, Easter Sunday...:)

Its going to be another nice day today...but only in the 50s...which isnt bad for working outside, I just need a sweatshirt...:thumbsup2

Our big plans for this weekend....
Well tonight we are going to a place to hear a friend of Mikes band..Its in a nice cafe that use to be a weigh station for the railroad in the 1800s...very old building...I love old buildings with history so that should be interesting...We will have dinner there, and enjoy the music...:goodvibes Should be a nice evening!
Tomorrow its back to the yard work..if it doesn't rain..as its suppose to...If it does we will probably go in to town and try to get more shopping done...as I never made it to Sams yesterday....It got so warm out I didn't want to leave Albert in the car...So it may be Sams club on Sat. Uggg...the worse day to go to Sams club..LOL
Sunday is our normal day with the Grands, and my Mom....
Monday...Cleaning all the mess we made on the weekend...:laundy:
Thats it in a nutshell... :cool2:

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend:wizard:

TTFNpaw:

Oh...WoooWHoooo:cool1:

Only 4 more months til we go to the world.....My ticker is a day off....:thumbsup2

Good morning everyone.

Today we are going to look at a car for Liz to replace the one that got damaged in her accident.

I think that will probably include dinner out since the car is over an hour away.

Tomorrow we might be working on some things at my mom's house and also trying to get some things done around here.

We are still trying to find a new house to share with my mom. Actually we put an offer in on one yesterday but have not heard back yet. I don't expect that they will accept it because it was on the low side to what they wanted for their house. But we can try to negotiate that. If not then there are many more houses out there available. It is just taking us a long time to find what we want.

We actually even considered having one built for us since we couldn't find what we wanted.

Today we are expecting sunshine and around 50 degrees but rain for tomorrow.

Mandy, the wedding date is Sunday May 29. We are flying to Orlando on Thursday May 26 and staying until Monday May 30. That way we have a couple of days down there before the wedding. No definite plans on what we will do with those days yet.

We are staying at the POP Century along with the all of the wedding party. That's great because we like the POP Century.

The wedding is at the Wedding Pavilion on the beach and the reception will be held at the Grand Floridian. There are only a small number of people going. Last count I heard was 21 people in total including the wedding party.

It should be very nice.

Good morning ladies.

The weather around here has been crazy the past week. It has been very windy, thought we were going to blow away. Then we had snow  and today we have rain. Where the heck is spring? :confused3

Good Morning DWDQs,
The weather here has been spotty at best, the day before yesterday was in the 70s....Yesterday was in the 40s, right now its 39 degrees...YUCK! ..I still have a fire going.
We dont have very good weather predictions for this weekend either, BUT I have cleaned and shopped and except for the last min. things to buy( The produce, and the ham...etc.) which I am going to do this afternoon. I am driving Britt to work, and she works right next door to Price Chopper. :thumbsup2 I am all ready for Easter!

Too bad it is suppose to rain on my egg hunt..:sad1: I have a back up plan if it does..I made a Bunny bean bag a few years ago for a bad weather Easter we had...I am going to reuse that, and we will play "hot Potato" with it...the last one left is the winner of the prize...and we just hand out the eggs. Not as fun as an egg hunt:rolleyes:...but it will work :confused3

I am off to finish up with the cleaning and get some serving dishing washed, and ready to go....:cheer2: <--- Me cleaning.

I hope you all have a very Happy Easter weekend:wizard:

TTFNpaw:

Sounds like you have everything under control Betsy.

Enjoy your family time.

Nothing special planned here for the weekend.

How about you Mandy?

Happy Easter Dancing Queens

Hey Girls

I hope you're all having a lovely Easter weekend. We have been so lucky over here, the weather has been lovely for over a week now, so most days I've been out in the garden making a start on my tan :)

We've got a nice weekend planned, last night we went to a 21st birthday party which was lots of fun. Tonight Paul & I are heading to Solihull for the evening, so we're looking forward to a few TGI cocktails and a nice meal. No plans for tomorrow, then on Monday Paul & I are going to the horse racing at Warwick (if the weather is still nice)

I can't believe that two weeks today I will be getting on the Disney Magic, time is flying by. Robin, the wedding will be here before you know it, how exciting, are you all organised now ? What kind of outfit will you be wearing ? I can't wait to see all you photos

Betsy, I hope it stays dry for your Easter Egg hunt, have fun

Have a lovely weekend girls :)

2 weeks until you cruise again Mandy. That is always something to look forward too. What itinerary are you doing this time?

We had a very lovely day for the most part yesterday. It was quite warm and the sun was shining most of the time. It is not supposed to be so warm today but the sun is supposed to shine.

My mom just invited us over for dinner, so I guess I don't have to cook tonight:thumbsup2

Betsy, I hope you can have your egg hunt outside. That sounds like much more fun for the little ones.

Well Happy Easter everyone...a day late.

It RAINED most of the day yesterday...as it is doing today...Yuck!

We played the bunny game and everyone seemed to have a good time anyway...I was a bit bummed ...but there is always next year...;)

No good weather to be seen in the near future around here...the temp is going to be near 60 most days...but no sunshine predicted...:sad1:...and more rain...

I hope you all are having a good long weekend...its not a long weekend for us..as Mike had to go to work today...but thats ok, it gives me a day to clean and rest up...
