I got mail today

Thanks for the lovely sparkly card Mandy.

It is our very first Christmas card of the season

I especially love all the pixie dust inside

I keep it and make "hidden Mickey's" all over the house

Is that sad, or what

I've got a nice day today, I'm supposed to be meeting my friend in Coventry for a bit of shopping and a coffee, so that'll make a change from my normal routine

My PC has been acting up...So if you dont see me its not because Im too busy to post....Its because of my d*** carrier....
It is soo bad...drops us all the time....AND its the only one we have available...Thats what we get for living in the country...

Well I am making a cheesecake today...for TG...
All I have to do is bring a ham and some wine, but the cheesecake recipe is one my mom use to make...and its sooo good...This is my chance to make it have a smalll piece and leave it there so it wont tempt me the rest of the week....LOL

Its in the 50s today! No more snow...although they say we may get some tomorrow night...

We are thinking of starting our Christmas decorations this weekend...Well lets say MIKE was thinking of it...I could wait a week or so....BUT if he's willing to help...I'll do it this weekend....NOT the tree tho...THAT would be too soon, to me....

I had a lovely morning with my friend, we wandered round the shops and went for a cup of tea and a cake, and we swapped Christmas presents (we only buy for each others kids), but we are going to meet up in Epcot on Christmas Day - so that should be fun

Betsy, is that cheesecake the cooked or the non cooked variety??

I make a cheesecake that you don't bake.

I don't like the other kinds.

Mandy, you are always doing such nice things, going shopping and spending time with friends.

I don't really have any "girlfriends" that I get out and spend time with. Most of my friends of the female type are wifes of Rick's friends that I only see when we are all together.

I have to go into work today. I went yesterday but couldn't get my printer to print and I have bills to pay and invoicing to do and most importantly paycheques to make Rick was not there to help me fix the printer, so I have to go back today to finish up my job.

Enjoy the rest of your day. We have a rainy day that is supposed to turn into a snowy day

Here is an interesting bit of trivia for you.

Alex (whose birthday was just on Sunday Nov 18) had 3 very close friends as he was growing up.

The four of them would hang around together a lot of the time.

Tyler, Matt and Stephen ALL celebrate their birthdays today

Kind of interesting how four friends were all born so close together.

Alex still sees Tyler a lot as his parents live across the street (no not THAT neighbour ). They also get together just to hang out.

Matt he still sees and talks to occasionally.

Stephen he has not really been friends with since the end of Grade 8.

Hey everybody!! I'm sorry I haven't been on much... it's gotten unbelievably busy with work, the kids and Thanksgiving this week.

I figured I'd pop in to say hello before I started cooking for DM & DD's dinner (which starts at 12 pm) and for DMil's dinner (that starts at 6 pm).

I'm fixing an oyster casserole, watergate salad, broccoli & cheese casserole, dinner rolls, fordhook beans, stuffing. I agreed to fix 3 side dishes for both meals. This will be the most cooking I've done for Thanksgiving

We are still anxiously waiting for 2009 rates, I've talked CW into flying down there so it'll be a 2 hr trip by plane instead of a 2 day trip!

Maybe DCL will be giving tommorrow and post them

Well... the oven is preheated so I better start baking! Have a great evening all!

Hey, I bought myself a Christmas present today

It is in 3 separate pieces that you can place in any way that you want. There is a "loveseat" with 2 recliner chairs and a queen sized sofabed in the other piece.

I'm tired of sitting on nasty stuff downstairs here and have looked at this set for quite awhile now.

It is on sale and on the way to work I heard on the radio that if you brought in 5 cans of food for the food bank the store would "pay" the taxes on any furniture that you purchased.

Bonus.... that saved me $265.00 minus the cost of the food that I donated.

The only thing is that the set is out of stock and we probably won't get it until mid January. There is a slight chance that we will be able to get on the middle of December.

I don't really mind waiting. I'm not in a real hurry for it, other than when you want something you want it NOW
