Mary, hey lady! You sound as busy as I am, Carolin’s in the process of trying out for softball. She finds out today if she made the team or not. I’m a little nervous for all of the girls. She’s got a big group of friends (that includes a cousin) who are trying out as well. I hope they all make it.

Keep me posted on how Carolin does. I sure hope she makes the team and all her friends too! We love softball around here. DD is a pitcher and plays outfield when not pitching. The sisters all played ball as kids too (well, Ann didn't really, but Sue and I played and loved it!) I will wait to hear...

How is everyone doing?....I am looking forward to today...Its suppose to get into the 50s today....Yahoo!
Sure hope it does....

I wish I could afford to take the DGGs on a cruise ...If I could I would bump our 2008 plans from June/July to Aug. and join ya all....I just know Julia and Brittany would get along just great with Kerry and Becky...They are the same in age I think...
Maybe if I saved every penny I came across...and then did some real fast talking to Mike....BUT I wont get my hopes up...I dont even want to think about how much that would cost...for us and three teens.... ...

By the way I havent been getting any lottery tickets in the mail! ..
Whats up with that you guys. ...I cant win ..unless you all start sending me tickets

I wasnt a sport person in school...I did "out of school' type sports..
Hiking, Hourseback riding,...Ice/roller skating...Shopping .....Those sort of things...I really excelled at shopping

We have booked the WL for our Sept. trip...and Ive been looking at the info on that resort and it seems real nice...I just know my DGSs will love it there.( they are really into cowboys and indian stuff)..I just like trying new places...So I'm looking forward to staying there too!

Well Its daylight savings time today. ..and that lost morning hr. is killing me already...I have to go get my breakfast started for our Sunday with the DGGs....

Kelly - I hope that you had a great time clubbing this weekend, and that 5 daft men didn't jump on stage and sing YMCA

Kerry said that she heard from Chad earlier, it's great how they're keeping in touch with each other

Betsy - We have got a couple of very busy weekends coming up. On Sat (17th) Becky & Kerry are going ice-skating with a couple of friends, then going to Pizza Hut and then sleeping over here. Next Sunday (18th) is Mother's Day in the UK, the girls have got me a lovely Mickey Mouse bag and some other things, then on Monday (19th) is Becky's 14th birthday and I think she's going either bowling or to the cinema with a couple of her classmates. The following weekend (24th) we're taking 3 of the girls friends away, we're going to Manchester (which has a great shopping mall) and we're shopping and then staying the night (at a Travel Inn) and going for a nice meal in the evening.

It would've been wonderful to have met your lovely granddaughters on our Cruise, and I can appreciate how much saving is involved. It usually takes us a good year or so to save up for a Cruise and we'll really have to save hard when we get back from WDW in the Summer, but we know all that saving will be worth it (I think Christmas may be a little low key this year though )

Robin - Well I wonder where you are today ? are you on the Cruiselines private Island, I hope the weather is fab and I can't wait to see your piccies

Sisters and Wendy - I hope you're all OK

WOW...a BUSY couple of weekends...
The girls are very lucky to have such involved parents...They will have ALOT of great memories, when they get older....

We got some finish work done for the house this last weekend...I spent the day polyurathaning(sp?) trim for around the doorways... they turned out nice...Now all we have to do is cut them to size and tack them up...Probably on Tuesday night..seeing as we have a class to go to for Albert tonight...

Hi y'all! Hope everyone is doing great! Mandy, you are difinitely and invovlved parent. It's great, eh? Busy day for me...just got home from DD softball game. They won 14-2! DD pitched the whole game. DS starts baseball practice tomorrow. Took the kids to the mall yesterday. We also saw Wizard of Oz on the big screen - very cool! Well, just wanted to pop in and say hey - sorry about the cold weather for all of you - it was about 80 degrees here today! Come move to N FL, there's still plenty of room! Let me know!

By the way I am a proud pup owner.. ..Albert was the best one in his class yesterday. ...Did everything I asked of him...without many tries...I have never had a smarter dog...Show him what you want a few times and he just "GETS" it...! Amazing!

Albert knows quite a bit...
Of course the normal...Sit, stay, laydown,...
heal(we are still working on this, as Mike likes to use the 8 ft. retractable leashes at home and he gets confused, on a reg. leash we have to use in his class...BUT he still does ok with it...)
Stand/stayGo from a sit to a stand and stay until I say OK...
Relax..( lay down on his side with his head down...)
But he also...
Will go to bed on command...
he will stay and come ..with distraction's(The teacher will play with a ball or a toy right next to him as we are asking)
He will..
"take it or leave it" ( a treat or toy) on command..I can put his fave treat or toy right in front of his nose and will leave it and not touch it ..until I say for him to take it...
He shakes hands(paws)..
He bal.his toys on his head(so far I can stack up to five small toys, and he will bal. them until I say OK)
He will do this with his dog bones also!
With the exception of the "tricks"..ie: shake, toy bal.
He does all the other in the middle of a busy Petsmart store( this is where he takes his lessons)...people always stop and watch the lessons...talk about distraction's!
Thats all I can think of right now...
I was lucky with any of my other dogs just to get them to sit/stay/ heal...

Alberts worse trait is his barking at cars going by ( not very often around here)or other animals in our yard..BUT I have faith ..
I'll break him of that!

Carolin made the first cut, but is very disappointed that most of her friends didn't. They leave more spots for the older kids than Carolin's age group, so hopefully they will try again next year...

The churches in this area use to have softball teams, we would play games during early summer but alas.... that fell apart as time went by. I miss it!

The cruise is a "wishful thinking" cruise. It would be the same one Mandy has booked... I didn't realize they had posted another double dip for CC. I love that place! I'm saving my moolah right now to try and make 2 Disney trips... one to WDW this summer and the DCL next summer

The club was a 21 and under nightclub. My sister-in-law and I went back to our room after dropping the girls off. We laid on the couches watching t.v. and eating pizza before falling asleep at 10:30...

We got home after midnight last night.

It's taking quite awhile for me to catch up since Alex is also home. He got in shortly before we did last night.
