Morning Mandy.

I can tell you one thing about our cruise.

It sure was not a Disney Cruise.

We went to the dining room for dinner the first night and at the door we told them our table number. The waiter/head waiter (don't remember who it was for sure), says oh table 56 it will be on the left hand side.

My jaw about hit the floor. It was like, your table's over there go and find it:rolleyes: Now we were a little bit late but that still doesn't excuse that.

On Disney you know, that every evening you are met at the door and escorted to your table. Not on this ship.

Also the first night our cabin steward did no service at all. No bed turndown, no bathroom clean up with new towels, no towel animal, no extra bunk bed put down for us:guilty:

We were NOT impressed I'll tell ya. :sad2:

There were lots of other little touches that definitely reminded us we were not sailing with Disney.

Hey Kelly - 10.30pm ?? Wow, you're a real party animal:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I hope Chad keeps up the good work, when are you going to WDW in the Summer ??

Yes, I’m a reeeeaaaal party animal! :lmao: When I want to stay awake, I’m sleepy… when I want to go to sleep, I’m wide awake… I can never get it right!:sad2:

We really want to go double dipping at CC, so I hope we can save up the money. Then I’ll have some leverage with CW. We are finding out more information about high school policies in our area. Chad starts high school next year, so we’ve got to plan WDW around cheerleading camp and soccer camp before school officially starts. I was hoping to make two stops, now it’s been narrowed down. I think it’ll be in the month of July… not sure just yet.

I am back.

Sunburn… ouch!! :headache: That’s a nasty souvenir to bring back… Glad you made it back safely. I will have to pass the info you brought back to DM & DD. They are thinking of cruising on RCCL.

Glad to hear he's doing his job haha

Say hi to Carolin from me please

And doing it well!!:thumbsup2 I will pass on the “hello” to Carolin! She’s hoping to see all of you guys again!:goodvibes

Hello out there to the rest of you guys!!!:yay: Carolin did make the softball team, so I’m officially ready to pull my hair out between:

Monday – Friday: Softball & Soccer practice unless there’s a game
Saturday: Travelling soccer team games (3 hr. round trip)
Sunday: Indoor soccer games at the local high school

I am enjoying seeing them stay out of trouble though, they are too busy to get into anything else… for right now!:rolleyes1

The problem with Disney Robin, is that we get spoiled rotten (though we do pay for it) and then we compare everything to it

What did you enjoy about the Cruise ? what was the private Island like -was it nice ?

I know that I would be exactly the same as you and pick up on all those lovely Disney touches that we enjoy so much

Mandy :)

BUT...
:cheer2:party: :rainbow: CONGRATULATIONS CAROLIN:cheer2: party: :rainbow:
I agree about keeping them busy.:cool1: (<~~~the closest smilie to a soccer player. ).....The best thing for them!:thumbsup2

Hi everyone from the cruise! It's been a thousand years since I last posted. I think of that AWESOME cruise often and hope everyone is doing well!

Congratulations Carolin for making the team.

:woohoo: :woohoo:

Mandy, there was good stuff on the cruise too of course.

There was a time we had to tell our room steward the the sink stopper wouldn't open on our sink. The maintenance man was there within 5 minutes to fix it :thumbsup2

Most of the crew were extremely friendly, always greeting us when we passed by. Our room steward called us by name when he saw us.

Another strange thing happened..... the life boat drill. We got our life vests on and head out into the hall to find our station. Absolutely NO crew in the halls directing guests to where we needed to go.

I headed to where the sign on the back of our door said we should go........ nobody in that direction :confused3

I see a crew person dealing with luggage. He says......... go to main staircase, these stairs are only to be used in a REAL emergency :scared1: What the heck:eek: Aren't we supposed to be practicing for a real emergency :sad2:

The entertainment was pretty good on the ship. They have dueling pianos which was good. We enjoyed the piano player in one of the lounges and the karaoke was funny too. There is a game show called the Quest and it is absolutely hilarious :rotfl:

We had Elvis onboard with us ::yes::. He sang during karaoke, white jumpsuit and all :cool1:

The private island was nice but had a straw market type area that you saw as soon as you got on the island. You have to tender boat from the ship to get on the island.

The beach is nice but I preferred the quiet and solitude of the adult beach on Castaway Cay.

:wave2: Hey Mary, how are ya doing ?
:wave2: Hey Ann, it's great to hear from you
:wave2: Hey everyone

Robin - I'm pleased that you enjoyed a lot of things about your cruise, though I thought it was bizarre about the lifeboat drill, I thought the whole idea of them was that you knew where to go in a real emergency :confused3

You may have had fun with Elvis, but was he as good as the Village People ?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: What was the food like ?

Mandy :)

Hi Mary & Ann! I too think about the cruise often, it was my best vacation ever!!

Robin, I'll pass the congrats on to Carolin! Thanks!:goodvibes The fire drill sounds a little disturbing, DCL takes it so serious... and they ought to! I can't wait to hear more details of the cruise;)

Morning Mandy!

Morning Gals,
Im on the run today...Its my Thurs. lunch day....

Its warm right now ...but the cold is suppose to be coming back later....WITH SNOW:scared: ...So I'll probably cut my day alittle shorter...:)

TTFN

:wave2:

Hi everyone!

Today I find myself the proud owner of a new to me car. I will get it next week sometime.

It is a 2003 Honda Accord (I have a 2001 Accord right now).

My son needed a more reliable car so that is how this all started.

I'm getting a newer car, he is getting my old car and my daughter is getting Alex's 1993 Honda Civic.

We are playing pass the car down the line :lmao:

So that's what I've been doing today, looking at various cars and test driving lots of them.

What's new with everyone else?

Hi girls

I can't believe it's Friday again, this week has flown by

Well we've got a busy weekend ahead of us, tomorrow the girls are going ice-skating with a couple of friends and then they are sleeping over for Becky's birthday. Then on Sunday it's Mother's Day for the UK, so hopefully I'll get some nice cards and I already know about my Mickey Mouse bag that I'm getting. Monday is Becky's birthday and that evening we're going bowling with some of her classmates (which should be fun)

Have you got anything nice planned for the weekend ? I hope you all have a good one

Mandy :)

Hi Betsy! Did you guys get any snow or is it coming down now? We went from almost 80 degrees yesterday to 43 degrees today.... :cold:

Hi Robin! We are a heating and air conditioning contractor. Things are a little slow here, we are stuck in between seasons... but that's not stopping the paperwork:scared1: Have fun driving your new car, our family seems to play the "pass the car" game here too:lmao:

Hi Mandy! It does sound like you've got a busy weekend!!! We have only one soccer game this weekend. Carolin is spending the night out tonight and Chad is meeting some friends at the roller rink. It looks like yucky weather here this weekend so I'll just stay inside and relax... I'm really looking forward to that;)

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
