7th January 2007, 4 Night Wonder Cruise

Mandy, are you staying at the POP Century again after the cruise or have you chosen somewhere else to stay?

Robin ~ We're stopping at the Pop Century before and after the cruise. The deal we got was so good that we booked 17 nights there, which includes when we are on our cruise, so that saves us checking out and then checking back in again, and we can also leave some of our stuff in the room that we don't need for the cruise

Thanks for the everyone!!! The social worker said he can live with us after the paperwork comes back clear! Paperwork.... she means the book we had to fill out

Mandy - Don't worry about his name not being on the Christmas card you sent, I can add his name Wow, lady! You planned an excellent vacation from the Pop to the cruise and back, how wonderful!!

Robin - He is turning 17 on Sunday! He has been spending alot of time with CW, myself, and the children to help the transition. The kids are excited about having an older brother

He'll be there, he's social worker didn't see any problem with him going on vacation with us either way! We took a gamble and added him onto our room!!

He and Chad have been talking about hanging out at the teen club, so they'll be there, too!!!

I wish I could have brought my DGDs ..they would have had a blast hanging with all the teens that are coming...Oh well maybe next time ..

I Hope you and Mandy can meet up after the cruise....Too bad we couldnt stay longer, but My mother will be coming home on the 13th and we will have to be here for her....So as soon as we can get off the ship we have to start heading home...17 hrs....yuk ..BUT if the long drive, makes it so I can go to WDW and the cruise ...Its worth it!...FOR SURE

This is Just SOoo nice of you and your family...Im sure he will feel..Just like family in NO time at all...If he doesnt already!....

Thanks! I hope he feels like he's part of our family, I think he may already! He called me mom the other day (that was the 2nd time )! He makes us just as proud as my two other ones!

We are definately a family on the go! We've been to his sporting events and practices since we started this process. So now its:

Wrestling team
Travelling soccer team (3 hr round trip )
And cheerleading team (District tournament on Monday the 11th)

Whew!

I know that when we got our brothers as foster kids the SS people were so amazed that we took them on vacation with us. Apparently most people just put the kids in someone else's house untill they come back. I just couldn't understand how anyone could do that to a kid. I really coudn't understand how they could do it at Christmas time.
David is 17 too so maybe they will get along.

I agree with you Suzi! I don't know how people can leave behind a child to take their own family. Too harsh! I'll tell him about David! Chad's thrilled to have another male around, it use to be out of 8 grandkids total... there were only 2 boys, now this makes 3!

I have some that I picked up on the cruise ship off the floor after the Final Farewell (or whatever they call it). But it's bigger Mickey heads.

I take them all and hide them around the house. Then I have hidden Mickey's everywhere

I received a card, too! A delightful reminder that I've not posted in a while! Not even going to try to catch up, but I can't wait to meet everyone!

By the way - I booked a couples massage on Castaway Cay in a cabana with my hubby.....Tom and Ann sittin' in a tree - K-I-S-S-I-N-G!

You can go in the Stack

the first day of the cruise...

Brittany absolutely LOVED the Stack, she was 17 on the cruise...she's actually bothered that if she goes back on a cruise with DCL she's no longer allowed in there. She spent almost every moment away from me in the Stack and with the councelors and kids there.

I also got 2 more thumbs up for your Palo brunch from my Christmas Cruisin friends...they said it was waaay better than dinner there.

Yup, I've been in the Stack (not called that on the Wonder though, called ALoft or something like that) Been in both anyways, also was in the old teen club too, Common Grounds.

Checked out all of the different kids clubs including the nursery (Flounders)

I'm so glad that the cards are arriving. I call the Mickey confetti Pixie Dust too, I bought it at DownTown Disney, from the scrapbooking/art store behind the Christmas Shop (it would be so much easier if I just found the name of it ). I think it adds a special touch to the cards

Thanks Mandy. I know exactly which store you mean at Downtown Disney. We go in there every time we are there.

I've never seen it there but I'll be sure to look for it next time.

Of course when I opened the card I didn't know it was there and a lot of it fell out and scattered. I carefully gathered it up though and put it all back in the envelope. That is precious stuff, ya know

I'm up this morning but I sure don't want to be Need more sleep
