7th January 2007, 4 Night Wonder Cruise

I agree Mandy that we've made some very nice friends here on this thread.

I hope that we can get together at times on the cruise and enjoy each other in person.

What is everyone planning on doing at Castaway Cay.

I usually just head over to Serenity Bay (the adult beach) and spend the day hanging out over there. I love it there

Maybe a bunch of us can grab some chairs close by and spend some time together at the beach.

Just laying back in a hammock under a palm tree on CC chatting in person with my buddies here... I'm for it!! I might not be able to stay too long because of the kids program, but I would definately make it a point to be there!

We usually head for the hammocks too, though this trip could be very different for us as both the girls will want to be with their 'Teen Club' friends. In the past we're usually off the ship as soon as we are able to disembark, sunbathe on the family beach and have lunch at Cookies BBQ around 12/12.30pm. It would be lovely to meet up, especially as we've never gone much further than the family beach.

Our family is doing the excersion where you get an hour of bike riding time and then tubes and snorkel gear for the whole day. This is what we did last time and my family and my Aunt and Uncle's family will be doing this together. We usually do the bike ride together first thing. Then I will probably spend most of my time snorkelling because I love it. While I am being a good daughter the next day and watching my brothers and sisters while they go to brunch at Palo i have refused to babysit while on CC. My brothers and sisters were not to impressed with the kids activities on CC last time either. So are whole family will probably stick to the family beach. well except for the bike ride.

Pretty good. My only problem is that my roomates mom calls her early every morning and they have a long conversation that wakes me up. My roomate does not like her mom calling her this early either.

Mike and I have a parasailing res...I think around noon..If Im remembering right...and I have reserved bikes for the day...but we wont be using them all day...and YES I would like to spend most of the time at the adult beach...So who ever gets there first grab a couple chairs for us...please

Great, sounds like there will be a big bunch of us at the beach for a while at least

I usually go over by myself because Rick is not a beach person.

He stays on board and watches a movie or sleeps and then comes over and meets me at the beach and we usually go for lunch at Cookies.

Then it's back to the beach for me and back to the ship for him

Yay !! It's Friday again, and nearly the weekend

Has anyone got anything special going on this weekend ? (apart from you Robin, you have the little matter of a Caribbean cruise to look forward to ~ you lucky thing)

We haven't got anything planned. Hopefully I'll get on and finish my Christmas cards and wrapping my presents.

I haven't weighed myself this week, I'm having a really bad time, and I can't stop thinking about food Hopefully I'll get myself back on track next week

I am soooo happy it's Friday, too!

We are remodeling part of our house this weekend! Making half of our unfinished attic another room! Work, work, work... busy bees this weekend!!

Morning everyone.

I've got tons of things to do today, of course.

I guess I should be motivated and get doing some of them

I did weigh myself today and it wasn't pretty I'm up almost a pound from last week. Can't wait to see what the next weigh in will bring. I'll just have to be careful and exercise a lot next week. I always do a lot of stairs when I'm on a cruise ship. It's just easier than waiting for the elevators.

I think I'm back....settled in more and can keep up with you busy posters!

My kids have today off from school (THanks to all OUR VETS!). We slept in -- an extra 15 minutes . kids!

Yesterday I booked 3 Disney trips. If I could do that 1 day a week this would be a career and not just a hobby! It's been so much fun, I love helping my friends and friends of friends go to Disney. I also participated in a Holiday Show with about 15 other ladies who have home businesses. INo bookings from it...but good marketing I think.

Today:

I want to unpack 2 boxes and find a place for the stuff inside them.
Clean the house (of germs) like any family does once a week.
Take my middle child to a groovy birthday party.
Convince my kids to pick up there rooms on this day off!
Say Hi to my DIS friends (okay this one's taken care of!)
Wash clothes -- i'm behind!
Wish I were going on Robin's latest trip!

IN Eight weeks we'll really be focused on packing!!! I'm ready to GOOOOOOOO!

Jennifer ~ I'm so pleased that you have settled into your new home, and that your business is doing well.

I can safely say that in 8 weeks I will not be thinking about packing, as I'll be in WDW in 7 weeks (LOL). It's so weird really, because I'm so focussed on the Cruise that I completely forget my countdown to New Year in WDW

Robin ~ Have a fun (though busy) day today, I bet you'll be on the go right up until you get on the plane on Sunday. I think we'll all be thinking of you each day. If you get a chance let us know where you'll be each, so we can picture where you are

Kelly ~ Have a good weekend too, even though it sounds like you are going to be very busy remodelling your home.

I can't believe that I'm going to be putting my Christmas tree up in two weeks, it is coming round so fast and this year my main tree is going to be a 'Disney' tree

The only present I have to buy now is the Pirates of the Caribbean 2 for my friend, and then I am done (woohoo !!)

Mandy, I'm planning on checking out the internet package onboard the ship next week.

That's the only way I will have to keep in contact with my kids, so I might just sign up for unlimited access.

That way I can also check in with you guys everyday

I'm envious that you're so far done with your Christmas shopping. I am definitely NOT. I'm not gonna stress about it though because I'll just give the neices and nephews money or gift certificates I've got both my brothers done already and most of my Mother in laws.

That leaves me with 7 or 8 not including my own kids to buy for.

I'll worry about it later

Away from the cold and snow..and all the hassles that go with it all...

As for today....I am going to be busy ...
Albert has a grooming appt.....and while he there,
Im going to go do some art with the DGSs...Then go back and pick him up...and then stop at my DBs on the way home and drop off my Mom ..so she can visit with him and My DSIL for the weekend....

THEN Im done.... ...

and I can enjoy my weekend alone with DH ....
Except for Sunday of course

That's exactly why I started the TA biz. I actually work with a host agency that is designed for home based travel agents. It was relatively inexpensive to get started (less than $200 and my computer) and there is a little extra money for my family. I love that I do what I would have done for family and friends FREE and DISNEY (or other suppliers) pay me. How great is that!

Robin would be a great TA, she could use the agent discount for all her cruise travel!! And then she could use her experience to sell those cruises!

Mandy, I have this great picture window on the front side in my new house. I'm gonna put our tree in it for the holidays. The tree will be in our den. However, my tree is still in the basement of the old house. It will require hubby's help to get it here!!! I hope you're not a real tree snob. We can't do the pine scent with all of our allergies. We have a nice plastic tree!!

Cards? what are those? Heaven help me, I need to send them out this year!!

LOL ~ No Jennifer, I wouldn't be able to put my tree up at the end of November if it was a real tree. My trees are fake too and I'm very happy with them
