7th January 2007, 4 Night Wonder Cruise

Good Morning everyone!!! 9 weeks to go!! By this time 9 weeks from now I hope to be somewhere in Virginia. We are driving from PA and will leave Saturday early, early. We are staying in Jacksonville, FL Saturday night before sailing and then will head to the port Sunday morning!!!

It is freezing here in PA today!! It was only 23 degrees when I woke up. We are planning on seeing "Flushed Away" this afternoon. I know it's not Disney, but we have to spread our horizons sometimes!! We really want to see Santa Claus 3, but it's still a little early to get into that Christmas spirit! Which way thru Va are you heading? East or West or smack down 95? If you need a ride along support system, swing by our way We are leaving the same day and heading to Jacksonville for that nite! I'm actually calling today to make hotel reservations for that nite I can't wait we are getting sooo close!

We had a little scare last night ...as My DGKs and DS were leaving ...Albert took off into the night....
well we all spent the next 15 mins. or so calling him...Let me tell you Its impossible to see a little semi black dog on a very dark night....and he went right into the wood after something?....
He did finally come back to my DH...BUT It worried me BIG time...I thought for sure he'd be gone and not be able to find his way back ....
It's so bad how they worm there way into your heart...and you worry about them like they are your child...

Bless your heart! I know that you were worried! Glad he made it back

Hey there Mandy! Things are probably the best they could ever be!!!! I am getting sooo excited about this cruise. I didn't get to do any shopping over the weekend But that's okay, I'll get some in this week! We went to a concert Saturday nite and sang Sunday nite at a church revival!

The preacher at the church we sang at walked over to our choir and said she wanted to introduce someone. Well she starting walking towards me and asked "Would you please stand up?" So I did not realizing she was talking to our preacher Anywho... she announced "This is Pastor Christy" (my preacher) and I tried to run and hide but they wouldn't let me. My face turned red but everyone got a laugh out of it. Leave it to me

I woke up to a couple of inches of snow today!! It is still quite sunny but snowing at the same time. This is the only time I like snow! Come February it is usually all crusty and the temps are way to cooooollllldddd!

The other day decided to buy an official WDW autograph book/photo album. I purchased it online. Instead of wrapping up documents for the kids christmas present, I thought I'd wrap up three clues. One for each kid to work on, but they are to be shared between them. The autograph book will go to Kayla....hope she's not reading this! Cora will open a pal mickey. And Randall will get the letters to spell Disney Vacation, but he'll have to unscramble them. For their stockings I bought each kid a Disney themed Lanyard and a few pins. I thought I'd get them each a Disney Keychain too. I also found the Mickey Mouse chocolate bars and bought 6 so each of us (including Eric & I) can have one of them.

I purchased my M-I-L a really cute Disney themed picture frame for christmas. I'm hoping to get a really good shot of her and the kids together on vacation to put in it. I won't be getting her much else as we are paying for her vacation too. I'll just pick up a few little things, because she sooo deserve more. The vacation is our gift to our kids, so it should also be a gift for her too. She's tried to pay for part of the vacation numerous times, but neither Eric and I will let her pay for any of it. We did tell her she could buy dinner one day while we were at WDW. She's pretty sure she can get away with paying for more than that. She's such a wonderful lady. I can't wait for you all to meet her!

Kelly - We went to WDW summer of 2005 and drove straight down 95, but sat in DC and VA beach traffic for hours, and hours, and hours!! It was horrible. On the way home we stayed in NC and someone at the hotel gave us a tip to take 17 in VA and hook up with 81. It was sooooo nice to avoid traffic. Even though we won't have the traffic issues in January that we did in the summer months, I think we are still going to go 81 to 17 to 95. Better to be safe than sorry. The only reason we will make a straight shot down 95 is if there is any chance of snow or ice. 17 was very windy and hilly. I would rather avoid that in bad weather!! Also, I told my DH if there is any chance of bad weather that weekend, we are leaving early. Thursday or Friday if we have to!!! I am NOT missing my boat!!!!!!

I haven't been up to much lately. I've written all my Dis Christmas cards, and I'll get the family ones done this week. I've started doing some wrapping up, but I'm just waiting for 2 weeks on Saturday when I can put my Christmas tree up. All I need to buy next is the new Pirates of the Caribbean DVD that comes out on the 20th (I can't wait to see that again)

I don't blame you! We will be keeping our eyes glued to the weather as well! I can't get DH on a plane We usually have decent traffic until we hit the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. Once we pass that, everything seems to be smooth sailing

For those of you who will be in Jacksonville, maybe we can have a quick intro meet! It just may give you guys a chance to see if you want to avoid "Crazy Kelly" the whole cruise

Sunny Medford.... How old are your kids??? I have 3 also who are really looking forward to making some new friends.

I have a step-daughter, Kayla, who's 18, a son, Randall, who's 9, and a daughter, Cora, who will be 6 by the time we cruise. (Cora's b-day is 2 days after christmas!!) Kayla is the only kid who knows about our trip. She and her father (my husband) went to WDW about 10 yrs ago with my inlaws, but my kids and I have never been. The entire vacation is a surprise for the younger ones. Cora has been saving her pennies. I have rolled and rolled all our loose change and been putting it aside so when Cora cashes in hers, I'll slip ours in too and maybe "her" money can pay for dinner or something while we are at the world. I want her to see how saving her money really pays off. My son, on the other hand, he really doesn't have much of an opinion about anything. He's going through some phase right now, testing his parameters or something. I hope it doesn't last long 'cause he is getting really annoying!
