Wendy, I'm glad you've got your colours picked out and can start to paint. It's much more fun to paint when everything is empty and you don't have to worry about getting paint on things.

We can never agree about colours and stuff in this house either ;)

 Kelly, sorry to hear that Carolin was sick, hope nobody else picks it up.

It is kind of funny Mandy about the other DISer.

She uses the same name over there that she does here and I recognized it.

I use a different name over there but I don't post very often anyways. I wanted to be different so nobody would recognize me :smooth: Just in case I feel like being a trouble maker :p

Your gift sounds very nice. I sometimes join exchanges over on the Community Board. I used to do lots of them but I don't do so many anymore.

Wendy> You do sound like a busy bee!! Where do you find the time to get all of this stuff done?

Mandy> The pillow sounds too cute! I've been looking around ebay for Disney stuff. This Christmas is going to be a big Disney Christmas! I'm so excited :cool1:

Robin> Got anything packed yet? Not many days left now!! I went to the store over the weekend and bought an over-the-door shoe holder as well as some suction cup hooks for the cruise.

I think they will come in handy! I bought enough hooks to hold our lanyards w/ cards and wet bathing suits!

I have a question for you guys?

How does one pronounce the name of the island Curacao :confused3

We leave from San Juan, Puerto Rico..... a day at sea..... Aruba..... Curacao..... a day at sea..... St. Maarten..... St. Thomas..... and back to Puerto Rico.

We've been to none of those places (except for the day at sea, been there before a few times :lmao: ) so it should be interesting.

I want to go..sounds like a great trip.

I only a few minutes. I've been crazy over the weekend. My Niece applied/auditioned for the Alabama Symphony yesterday (didn't get the job, but did make the final selections...it was her FIRST audition. She's still a senior in college!) I'm very proud of her. I literally ran a taxi service yesterday between her and my three kids. The good news is...there wasn't time to eat anything bad for me :rotfl: .

I think I've lsot weight, but still haven't bought a scale. (sorry!)

I went to the ENT and he said that my allergies (that really are a lot better than they were years ago) could be contributing to the headaches. I've started back on Allegra and a Decongestant....No headaches since Thrusday. This is still a test though because Migraines aren't an everyday thing. He also gave me some imitrex to try if I do get one of those put-me-out-of-commission headaches. If it works on the headache, he'll refer me to a neurologist (sp?)

Sounds like everyone has been really busy...it's going to take a little while to catch up on this thread. What a great bunch of posters we are!!

Wendy...your colors sound FABULOUS. Those browns & yellows (& gold) are the "new neutrals" all the designers are using them! I bet once they hit the walls Eric will change his tune. Let us know what you think!

January is coming! :woohoo:

Sorry, I've no idea Robin :confused3 :confused3

Hey Jennifer ~ it's great to hear from you, it's good that you've been prescribed something for your migraines. Keep up the good work with your weight loss, it doesn't matter if you haven't got scales ~ as long as you can feel it when you put your clothes on :thumbsup2

Kelly ~ I can't wait till the Disney Store gets their Christmas decorations in :yay:

I've been to Puerto Rico, St Maarten, and St Thomas
In Puerto Rico we did a historic walking tour that was really quite nice. Quite inexpensive compared to the other excursions. St Maarten we just enjoyed by ourselves...no excursion. It was pretty nice. There's a water taxi there and the water was the bluest I have ever seen. This was one of our favorite stops. St Thomas was ok. We did an eco- snorkle/hike. That was nice, but the rest of the island had a lot of people selling thier "wares", and they were quite pushy.
I'm not sure about the pronounciation of Curacao, but I always pronounced it like...Kerrasow.
We also sailed RCCL. The ships are amazing. We always ate breakfast in the main dining room. There was hardly anybody there, everyone went to the buffet! We had EXCELLENT service. I know Eric and I will sail with RCCL again. Our next cruise, after Jan, will either be mediterranean or hawaiin

I just read like 7 pages of this thread to catch up....

I'm wondering:

:thumbsup2 How did the Threadkillers get their name? Just Curious.

:santa: How did Mandy develop such a love of Christmas...is it something from Childhood, or did it develop later. I have a friend (kristy) who loves "krissymas" -- like you Mandy, she has a certain day each year she puts up her tree (Friday after Thanksgiving). Her very favorite gift each year is to see what ornament her DH will give her for her tree. Interestingly enough, she adores Disney as well...So, Mandy, let me know, what started your loved of that awesome HOLIDAY!

Betsy, I love your idea of :tiptoe: "walking to the Wonder"...how did you determine the miles. If I walked from here to the Wonder I think it would be several hundred miles...maybe that can be my goal for my Thanksgiving 2007 cruise!

TADUM! :hyper: My big news is that my parents gave me an early Birthday Present while they were here! We looked at furniture for my new den and they gave me enough $$$ for a loveseat from the ROOMS TO GO store. I am so spoiled and I'm almost 40!! THey knew I wanted some additional seating for our large den in the new house, but couldn't buy any now because of still owning the old house. They are so generous. I can't believe what they've done!! :yay: It will be delivered by next Monday!!! I have been so blessed. And even without this generous gift, can I just say I treasure my parents. They are some of my best friends and I truly respect them. God was so kind when He chose to give me such a wonderful set of parents.

Another tidbit in my life is that some unknown someone (maybe a new neighbor) mowed the lawn at our new house!!! Wasn't that a nice random act of kindness in this crazy world. Another blessing. :sunny:

I'm so excited that DOUBLE DIGITS are in sight. WHOOWHOOOO. We're all going on a Disney Cruise!!! :boat:

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE!

Jennifer - I have always loved Christmas, right from a small kid. I love putting my tree up early and this year I will actually have just Disney decorations on it. My tree usually goes up on the last Saturday in November, but this year I will have to take it down on 26th December as we leave for WDW on the 28th, and we don't want to get home on January 14th with the tree still up ;)

Here are some piccies of my tree from last year

That's a great birthday present Jen, what lovely parents you have, and what a nice surprise that someone mowed your lawn for you. When is your birthday ? and are you planning anything special ?

Mandy :)

Jennifer I'm sorry you've been so sick. I hope you feel better soon.

Wendy, I don't know what we will do on any of the islands yet. Maybe we'll decide once we get on the ship :confused3

Mandy, I love your pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Betsy, I can't figure out how to say it with your explanation :lmao:

My doctor today called it keyrasow (like the girls name Kiera and sow on the end)

He said that his very first cruise was on the Adventure of the Seas and that he loved it. :teeth:

Hey guys, can I just weigh in with today's weight :smooth:

I am down a pound but I'll probably be back up again by Friday :p

I hope to visit that place next year! Dsis asked me last weekend if my family wants to fly out with her family there in April. FLY!!?? :sad2: We'll see if I can finally get someone on the plane!

Let me know what you think of the island when you go :thumbsup2

:cheer2: Congrats to your niece :cheer2:

We'll just say that you have lost weight, positive thinking, right? It'll help you continue on your "nutrition change" :teeth:

Glad to hear that your ENT is helping you get your migraines under control, good luck!!

I love your Disney ornaments! Thanks for posting the pics!! I really can't wait for Christmas!

One of my favorite things about Christmas is:

Watching the kids open their presents. Each expression is truly genuine (even if they don't like the gift :lmao: )!

How about you guys? Post one of your favorite things about Christmas (or two or more)

Thanks Kelly

What do I like about Christmas ? - now that's a tough one :rotfl2:

- I love having all the lights off and seeing the twinkling lights on the tree
- Having a 'wrapping up day' when the girls are at school, and I can wrap everything up
- Listening to Christmas music when shopping
- Christmas dinner
- The girls opening their pressies

I'm sure I could go on :rotfl: :rotfl:

Great job Robin!! You should stick with that one as your official weigh in! ;)

This is why I added "or more" at the end of my sentence! I knew you couldn't post just one or two! :lmao:

But I do love your answers! When I shop, it seems like they always play "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year". Believe it or not, it never gets old to me!

How about your fav Christmas song?

The ones that come to my mind are "Blue Christmas" and "Mickey's Twelve Days of Christmas" :goodvibes

I love "All I want for Christmas is you", "Happy Christmas (War is over)" and "Rocking around the Christmas Tree" and I also love all Christmas Carols

Paul bought me this Stitch last Christmas, I love it so much that I couldn't put it away, so he sits on my window sill all year round
