We are only going for a short stay, 4 nights in total.

This will be my 5th visit to the Pop Century.

We like it there.

What are you planning to do while you're there ?? Will you be hitting the parks, or having any nice meals etc ??

I hope you have a brilliant time :)

We are planning 2 days at the parks.Probably one day mainly hopping between AK, MGM and Epcot and one full day at the Magic Kingdom.

The other day we plan on doing a water park which we have never done in about a zillion :p trips to WDW. Also probably Downtown Disney for some shopping.

We don't have any meals planned. We usually just go with the flow. I'm not sure how busy it will be either next week when we go.

I have a question for you Mandy. Is there a bus from POP Century directly to Typhoon Lagoon or do you have to go somewhere else first and then transfer. You'd think I'd know but I don't recall seeing any. Never needed it before either.

We arrive on Sunday at MCO at approx. 5:30 pm, take Disney's Magical Express to the POP Century. Anybody have any recommendations for dinner for that night? I'd be happy with the food at POP Century but my husband wants to go somewhere else. Of course by the time we get there if everyone is starving from travel he might just change his mind. :teeth:

Yep, there is a bus to Typhoon Lagoon, I think the same bus goes to DownTown Disney as they're in the same area.

I can't believe how often we ate in the Pop Century, and we were very happy with the food there, and don't forget the lovely cocktails there, if you want to be reminded of your cruises, they serve Bahama Mamas and they do a lovely Hula Hoop too. :)

It sounds like you're going to have a fab time.

Mandy :)

Thanks for the info Mandy.

I remember exactly where the bus to DTD is, but I don't remember seeing the water park listed with it.

I don't mind the food at the POP Century either, especially since we will probably only be there the one night at dinner time.

Morning sunshines :sunny: Wow... the passports are zipping in like crazy around here! Thanks for the p & pd for DH & family!

Mandy> I look forward to seeing your pics from your trip! It sounds like you guys had a great time!! :thumbsup2 We are starting to get Christmas planned as well, the kids are older and have outgrown the toys phase :guilty: This Christmas will focus on the cruise, we did the same thing the Christmas before the last cruise and it went over great!!! :teeth:

Sue> Did you get any new pics of the :dance3: in WDW? Glad you guys had a wonderful time there :goodvibes

Jennifer> I got the poster at Walmart but found one at allposters.com just like it! I remember seeing alot of Sleeping Beauty posters there, too! I took it to a local frame store and they put in on a canvas, it looks really neat :teeth:

Betsy> Hey lady! How have you been? Isn't it great to start getting things in line for the cruise :woohoo:

My oldest daughter's room is painted in our new house (L. Thornton, we haven't moved in yet.) She choe a very festive blue color -- very bright blue -- ta-da blue. At first I was a little overcome by it, but it;s growing on me It's very artsy :artist:

My younger's daughter is also being painted --lillac. She's 5. It will look great. She started kindergarten this week and her teacher is trying out for American Idol this weekend. They are hosting a tryout in Birmingham (where we're from) Wouldn't it be fun for the kids if she made it!!! But I also think that means we'd loose our teacher (oh no!)
ARTSY is a very "motherly" way to describe it. :rotfl: Kudos for allowing your kids to pick their colors. My stepdaughter wanted her room painted a few years ago, she was 16 and Cora was barely 4, they share a room. So the room is half one color and half another. Cora wanted a dark purplish color, but I "ENCOURAGED" her to pick a pretty lavender. And Kayla's side of the room is a lime/yellow color...not what I would have picke but I've gotten used to it now. :Pinkbounc

Hello all,
Mandy,
Im glad you are recovering nicely from your trip....
NOW On to the Cruise :cool1: ....

OH...I forgot to tell ya Robin!

I changed my res. from the CBR to Pop for the 3rd to the 7th...
Just thought we would save a little $$ for the cruise.....and hey I know I like the Pop and I have never been to the CBR.....So If you all go to WDW ahead of time, maybe we can do a dinner together or something.....
Anyone else going before the cruise?....If we get enough, we could do a precruise meet!....
Maybe at the Rose and Crown ...That is such a fun place!

Betsy ~ we're stopping at the Pop Century too (woohoo !! Party time), it sounds like a great idea to have a pre-cruise meet. It's my birthday on the 6th, there is a good chance that I would be in the Rose & Crown anyway ~ LOL

Hiya Mandy :wave2:
Oh Cool....Epcot is my favorite park...so Im sure Ill be there.
I just Love the CMs at the R&C..always alot of fun!.......and I have to say ...I really dont drink much. When I do drink at all..its normally wine, But I just HAVE to get a Stella or two when we go there...
I found it here in bottles but its just not as good, It might be becuse its on tap at the R&C, but I like to think It just tastes better there :thumbsup2 .....
Part of the Disney magic :wizard:

Cool, Betsy and Mandy at the POP Century before the cruise.

We have made no plans yet at all. Don't even know how we are going to get there. Probably fly I'm guessing and coming in at least the day before if not sooner.

Hey Betsy, you are driving down right???

Maybe if we stay at the POP Century we can hitch a ride over to the ship with you guys ;)

Hey there, Robin!!

Hello cruisers~ Hope everyone is having a great morning! It's so neat to see you all start planning the meets before the cruise! Betsy, what day do you guys leave to head down to Orlando?

In the meantime... back to school shopping

Wow, you guys are making real plans now. Before it seemed like ideas, or just talking, but now.....this really is real!!

Hi Kelly-how are you this fine end of summer morning! Kids up? Mine have been getting up around 7, starting next week it'll be 5:30!!

Hey Wendy! They're up but not because they want to :teeth: 5:30 a.m. for your kids :guilty: Yikes!!

I can't wait for the cruise! I called the DCL yesterday to ask about onboard gift credits for the kids.. they were real helpful! This is what my kids are after for Christmas presents :goodvibes

What are you up to for the day?
