7th January 2007, 4 Night Wonder Cruise

Mandy, no I don't really look forward to formal night. I am so not a dress up kind of person. I'm okay with dressy pants and such but I really don't feel all that comfortable in dresses and heels.

We are first flying into San Juan, Puerto Rico. Then we go to Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and St. Thomas, all places that we have not been to as of yet.

We are going with a group of Rick's model airplane buddies, about 11 people in total. I don't really know most of them, some I've never even met because we come from different cities.

Susan, yes, I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to do all of the travelling that I have been doing lately.

A lot of people never get the opportunity to travel and others wait too long before they start and it's too late for whatever reason.

We have decided to travel while we have our health and are financially able to do so. You never know when either of those things will be taken away from you.

I'm not sure I can survive a 7 day cruise But I bet I'll soon get used to it.

Hi All

Not much new happening here. I can't believe it's almost time to get ready for the Holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years), then the Cruise!!!

Sue ~ apart from the cold weather, I love this time of year and the run up to Christmas. I know what I'm buying everyone (except hubby, and no doubt it will some kind of gadget). The girls mainly want dollars for their next holiday, so that will be easy to sort out, and I've already bought them some bits and pieces from WDW.

Once the girls get back to school on Wednesday & Thursday, then I will start to focus on Christmas

Hi I'm Suzi just found out two weeks ago that we (my mom dad 2 sisters and 3 brothers) and my Aunt and Uncle and there 2 kids and my Grandparants where going on the Disney Cruise. This is my second Disney Cruise. The first one was last October. I can't wait. I'm off at college and this will be a great vacation to take with my family while I'm on break. I am counting down the days.

This will be our 4th cruise (we've done 3 x 3 night cruises before).

I'm 19 and to old for the teen club but my Brother david who is turing 17 tommrow and my sister Joanna who is turning 13 in a few days will both be in the teen club. Joanna is very excited about getting to be in the teen club. I think she will be in there a lot. Last time David didn't go to much but he and Joanna get very competitive so he may be in there more this time.
I was really surprised when mom told me we were going again and even more suprised when I found out that we were getting a window. Last time we were in a catagory 11 which does not have a split bathroom. This time we are in a catagory 9 So I'm also excited about having a split bathroom.

Suzi - we had a catagory 9 on our first cruise and we loved it. it was a nice big room with a huge port hole window on deck 2. we booked the same catagory for our 2nd cruise, and we were really lucky and got a free upgrade to catagory 6 (on deck 6 - where we are this cruise)

you're right that will be a great break from College. On our last Disney cruise, we had a 20 year old with us. She was a little dissapointed that there were not "college" actvities on the cruise to begin with. BUT had a great time with all of us. When she wasn't with us, I think she hung out in the COVE cafe...seems to love coffee. College life is pretty demanding, so having a few days to really relax did Erin a lot of good. I guess since it's only been a year since you've been on a cruise, you know what to look forward to.

My name is Jennifer and I'm going with my DH Jonathan. This is the first real vacation we've had together since before child #1 was born 8 years ago. We've had a couple really tough years, so I'm looking forward to realxing as well. DH teaches college, so we know what you go through each semester.

I've been visiting the board 3 or 4 weeks and am still trying to connect all the board names to personalities. I think you'll find this a really terriffic group. WE are going to have an awesome cruise!!

Hi everyone!

I just returned home from seeing the movie CARS with my three kids. They actually saw it earlier this summer, but this was my first time. We went to the $1 show so even go popcorn!

I haven't seen an adult movie at the theatre in a long time. Guess it will be a little longer. Hope they have something great on board the ship.

Cars. What a great movie. I wonder if Disney will incorporate it in any of its car-themed rides. We had a lot of fun seeing it. My little one (age 2.5) fell asleep with 30 minutes left.

My Catholic neighbor brought me a statue of St. Joseph yesterday. She said it would help sell my home. I am supposed to put it "in a place of honor" in my home or bury him, face down, in my yard (facing either east or west). Now I'm not Catholic, but the papers she brought with it suggest I pray to God for my home to sell. Now that I can do! If you think of us, please pray too. Anyone have any experience with this? I really respect my neighbor. She says she doesn't want me to move, but doesn't want our family to be financially strained either. Isn't that sweet?

It's been a slow weekend for showing the house and we'll probably lower the price this week in hopes of finding a buyer in this buyers market.

Oh well, I'm going on this cruise unless we're closing on this house between Jan 7-10. I cannot wait!!

Thanks for writing back. I was so excited when I found this board. I'm the Disney fanatic in my family. I enjoy doing all the character greetings and other Disney type activites. I also like wavebands and also deck parties. I wasn't board last year and now that I know what I want to do I'll have even more to do this year. I also really enjoy the shows on the ship. I know I'm going to have a great time. I really enjoy getting to talk to the people who will be on the boat with me.
