Kelly, been there and done that already with the gallstones thing. I had my gallbladder out about 15 years ago or so Now I'm fighting with kidney stones

It's definitely NOT cool here Right now 6pm the temperature is 97 with a heat index of 118.5 . Bout the same that it was yesterday.

I think it's going to cool down a bit towards the weekend.

You poor thing! I had a kidney stone last year, OMG I would have rather gone thru childbirth again! How did you make out having you gallbladder removed?

Check out this website, I drink lemonade to hopefully prevent anymore stones It's funny too, the site says the same thing about comparing kidney stones to childbirth

Aw, thank you! I'm both excited and dreading this appt. after hearing some of the tests they may be doing One is injecting fat directly into your gallbladder to see how it reacts Yeah, that sounds like fun

good news...i finally filed off for my passport
bad news...i forgot to put my parents birth dates on the app
i am going back to the clerk of courts 1st thing in the morning and hope that the app has not been mailed yet

This'll be my last post before we head up to the airport tonight. My packing is finally done and yes Kelly, my house is now spotless (I too hate coming home to a messy house).

Don't forget to celebrate our '5 month' mark on Monday (ooh it's getting soooo close ~ woohoo !!)

nope, didn't catch it on time - my passport app has been mailed. i'm not sure who to call, but i may give that a try next week. i head out to orlando tomorrow for a biz trip, but sisters join me friday afternoon for fun!

WE BOOKED the Jan 7 sailing a couple of weeks ago. Just me and DH going -- no kids this time

DH has never been on a Disney cruise, but hates smoking (allergies)...so I figured it was worth the xtra money to be on DCL where it's limited.

Most of all I'm looking to a little down time with DH...haven't done it as a vacation since our oldest was born (she'll be 8 when we sail). We also have a 2.5 year old and a 5 year old. (NOT SAILING WITH Us, sorry mickey!)

I haven't gotten passports yet. I think I'll go get mine done and then encourage DH to do the same. I don't want to take any chances. I would think I have a few weeks to play with at most! After all...anyone traveling in 2007 is going to need those and the applications have gone up significantly!

My name is Jennifer and I'm a SAHM. Recently (April) I became a TA ... working from home. I was helping all my friends plan their Disney vacations...thought I'd *finally* get paid for it. So far I'm loving it. I get paid money to keep up to date on what's going on at WDW and visit the DIS! OKAY, I don't get paid much, but I'm going to put all of it in a FUND for our next family vacation to WDW!!

Before becoming a SAHM, I was in corporate training. I miss that, but sometimes teach classes at a local university. (My DH teaches there full-time.)

My kids start school next week (all but the toddler). We're trying to sell our home...and have already closed on the new one. I'm really going to need this cruise by the time it gets here!

I'm very excited about this cruise...and DIS friends meets planned yet? Please excuse me for not going through all the posts you've already placed on this thread. You all have been an active bunch!

If you don't mind, please give me a short intro to each of you. It looks like at least some of those sailing Jan 7 have become quick friends. I had a hard time trying to find introductions.

There are a bunch of us that hang out on the Community Board together, that are going on this cruise. We call ourselves the Threadkillers. You are very welcome to come over there and say hello and chat with us there too.

There will definitely be some sort of DISmeet on the cruise but all of the details will be worked out later.

I'm Kelly and I am travelling with DH, DS 13 & DD 12 (at time of sail)! We are cruising with my extended family (DM, DDad, DSisses & their families)! Altogether it's 18 of us travelling together, it was 20 but one of my sister's just moved to Hawaii (poor thing )! In our group we have some kids close to your DD's age!

This bunch is a rowdy, fun, crazy bunch! I cannot wait to meet them all!

I am married with two grown children 24 & 20, all who are not cruising with me. DH doesn't particularly like cruising (retired Navy). I am an OB/GYN nurse, DH now is a PT, and we both only work Part time and spend the rest of our time enjoying each other and family. Live in N. Fla, so I spend alot of time at Mickeys House (WDW) infact, I'm headed out the door to pick up DS and meet other DS there now!!

A work at home TA?...I would love to get into that! ( I have to be home to care for my 84 YO DM )...Did you have to take classes for that?...

I think the most that is planned for now is a meet in one of the lounges on the day we board,...but there is nothing written in stone yet...(we should work on that soon )

What deck are you going to be on?....alot of us are on deck 6 although some are higher up in the ship.....Also what meal seating?....I think most of us are early seating....
It is going to be sooo fun ...meeting everyone, we have spent time talking to and getting to know...

If you have pictures of you and your fam..we would love to see....
