Woohoo !! 10 More Sleeps 'Til Santa

Hey, Mandy.

Do you think you could try and work up just a little more enthusiasm for Christmas :confused3

:lmao:

Actually we won't be having Christmas at our house until Dec 28. Alex doesn't come home until late in the day on Dec 27 so we have to wait for him first. He has to work Christmas Day and also Boxing Day. Then he has off until Jan 3 or 4th. That means I get to drive to Toronto and back again to the airport :moped: I guess it will be worth it. :teeth:

We might be going to my inlaws sooner but nothing definite has been planned yet. Maybe Christmas day if my brother in law is coming from Ohio :confused3

Christmas with my side of the family will be on Dec 30 at my parents house.

There is a traditional family get together from Rick's side of the family on Boxing Day but I dont' know yet if we will go. It's one of those kind with people you only see once a year and don't even know anything about :confused3 I'd just as soon stay home if I have the option.

Really ?? :lmao: I thought you'd be wanting to Deck Me rather than the Halls after my months of Christmas excitement Robin :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It sounds like you're going to have a fab Christmas on the 28th, I'll be thinking of you as I fly over the Atlantic, over Goose Bay and head south to WDW. I can't blame you for waiting to celebrate when all the family are back together

Mandy :)

I've always wondered what Boxing Day was in Canada... will you clue me in my Canadian friend, purty please?? :teeth:

Thanks Mandy!

I didn't realize it was celebrated over in the UK too! :goodvibes

What do you guys do on Boxing Day?

For the last two years we haven't been home for Boxing Day, and this year we'll be taking the tree down and finishing off the packing as the next day we'll be heading to the Airport Hotel :thumbsup2

Kelly, I didn't look at Mandy's link but I'm sure it's the same thing here in Canada.

On Boxing Day there is that family reunion of sorts for Rick's extended family. It's held every year at the same place and same time, whoever can make it goes.

Not really exciting stuff

Sometimes we will have Christmas that day with one of our families if we've been to the other the day before.

Not really a special day in our house.

Is anyone doing anything nice this weekend ?? :)

Tonight Rick and I are going to London (not England ;) ) to go out for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. Actually this friend IS from England and has been in Canada about 5 years I think. It's the same people that we went to Orlando with in October of this year.

We are going to The Keg which is a fancy steakhouse type of place.

Liz has to work tonight.

Nothing has been planned yet for the rest of the weekend.

What are you doing Mandy?

We've got a quiet weekend coming up. Hopefully we'll get round to Paul's Dad, his sister and family and his elderly aunt and deliver all their Christmas presents.

We've got a fun weekend coming up next week, as the girls are stopping at their friends, and Paul & I are off to a Christmas show and party and then stopping the night in a nearby hotel

Then on Christmas Eve the four of us are going out for a meal and then heading to the cinema - hopefully to see The Holiday or Santa Claus 3

So that's our next 2 weekends sorted out :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend everyone

Mandy :)
