Ugh. My 10 year old said she wants Isabelle all of a sudden....but I'm done shopping?? :lmao:

Well, I found a gal in etsy who is making DD's Minnie bedding! It won't be overtly Minnie but it's going to be super cute. We are just about done with DD. Still need stocking stuffers. All that is left is the adults in the family, and they're hard to buy for!

That's so funny, my son is in Harvey this year, too (performing in Nov.). Where did you find the ornament?

Congratulations on your thespian! It is funny how the plays/musicals seem to come in cycles. Last spring there were multiple high schools doing "Thoroughly Modern Millie" as their musical, and I have to say that is not one I think of as popular...

The ornament came from bronners.com. They have a few different theater choices. There is the marquee I chose, and a ticket, and also a comedy/tragedy face. They can all be personalized.

The site has a ton of ornaments you can personalize for every sport, interest or activity you can think of -- I haven't ordered from there before but I have high hopes!

Got my cousin's gift card to Kohls today. She is going to kill me for spending $50 on her, but to me it is worth it. She is more like a sister to me.

Now all I have to do purchase wise is one thing from Tastes of Chicago for my dad and then 2 things from Harry and David for my aunt/uncle and my friend's family. But I can't do those now so they have to wait a bit. Which is driving me nuts. Maybe I should start wrapping? LMAO

OH, a great idea for my 14 year old daughter... I'm getting her a Claddagh Ring! She's old enough for some nice jewelry, and I wear my Claddagh every single day.

I had to let her in on it; I have no idea of her ring size. But she's given me some input on styles, and I'll choose the one I want to get her, so at least there's a bit of a surprise.

I'm almost done with DS11. I hit up the target buy 2 get 1 free video game sale this morning! Spent way to much but that's ok.

DS11
ps 3 (in layaway)
4 ps 3 video games
disney infinity marvel starter pack
3 more marvel characters for the game
Call of duty tee shirt
call of duty dog tags (stocking stuffer)
2 packs of minecraft action figures (steve and creeper)
1 pack of minecraft animals
2 attack on titan action figures (erin and levi)

I'm going to have to get creative with wrapping his stuff as they are all small items but dang he is already over budget.LOL

DD13 i haven't really started shopping for her yet. Her birthday is in Dec too. I'm also waiting to see if my husband is going to get her a horse or not. He's still undecided. If he says no, then one of her gifts will be riding lesson. I have two list made out for her. One if she gets a horse and another one if she doesn't. I'll be shopping for her last minute I'm sure. Wish me luck!

1 xbox game (walking dead)stocking stuffer.

I was at Target this morning when they opened to get the buy 2 get 1 free video game deal. I tried to order online but of course one of the games I wanted was out of stock. The other two were backordered for 2-4 weeks so I decided to go to the store. With two new games coming out today and the great deal I didn't want to risk not getting the games for $40 each. And I had an extra 5% off pharmacy rewards.

One of the games I bought was for ds6. He was with me this morning since the kids are out for veteran's day. He was so funny. I love surprises but I think seeing his face this morning when the guy brought Batman 3 out of the back was priceless. At first he tried to convince me that I should give it to him early but I reminded him that it was on his Christmas list and if he couldn't wait I would need to return to make it easier on him. He quickly said, oh let's not do that. I can act surprised! He was so funny :rotfl2:.

I love Christmas :) I get into the spirit as soon as Halloween is over and I'm able to order Peppermint Mochas at Starbucks. Glad I found this thread.

I just updated my spreadsheet after I organized all the loot I've been buying and stashing in my hiding spot. I've blown my budget as usual :santa:. I will update with my list later. I'm still waiting on my MIL to give me some ideas for herself, my FIL and grandma.

So my dad asked me about what I wanted for Christmas. And I have nothing. No idea. I mean, there are things I want but nothing that I can ask him for since they are all too expensive (new knife set, new computer). So now I am at a loss.

How about something you can do with dad? An IOU for a night out to dinner, or tickets to a game/show/event you would enjoy together?

I have ebags packing cubes on my list. I have three and I love them. I want more! I also have some jewelry, kitchen stuff and high end granola on my list.

Alrighty! I'm back to post my loot in hopes it may give someone some ideas. Disclaimer - People in my life get spoiled! I love a pile of presents and for DD, we always go all out and she's so appreciative of it all. I try to shop all year to spread it out financially. Last year was depressing because we lost my mom on 12/13 so I'm making up for a weird fall/holiday season last year. Plus, I just love giving to her and everyone else, so I can admit I go a little crazy.

I still need MIL to give me ideas for herself, FIL and Grandma.

I'm still debating buying tickets to take her to see Chicago the Musical...

My dad bought she and I tickets to see Taylor Swift and I'm hoping these don't steal Santa's thunder, but I think they might. It's all she talks about!

What about ME?!?;). Well on my list is....

New handheld can opener
New cutting boards
New 2 qt. pitchers
LOVE the Christmas Blend coffee from The Fresh Market. I stock up
Vacation vault
My dad is giving me some workout clothes
I broke down and told DH that I hope Santa brings me the new Ipad Air 2. My Ipad 2 has not been the same since the IOS 8 update :(

I've gotten a start on my list, but I'm still needing ideas for a lot of people. And I did start on my shopping, too! I am on a tighter budget this year since I started college, which is frustrating :(

Mom: I have no ideas so far, which is unusual. I'm going home for Thanksgiving, so hopefully I'll get some ideas then.
Dad: Something from ASU (my school) and Guardians of the Galaxy Bluray
Sister (16): Too Faced eye shadow palette (got it for over 50% off at the Nordstrom Rack!). I'll probably add a few other things.
Grandparents 1: Not sure yet...possibly a handmade ornament, or something similar?
Grandparents 2: They live in California, so we sent a package as a family that includes a photo calendar and lots of fun snacks and things that they wouldn't buy themselves.

I have a new baby cousin, and I'll be making him a baby blanket with some fabric I already have.

My roommate, suitemates and I all made stockings last weekend, so we'll be filling them for each other!

And then I'll be giving my friends back home cookie mix in jar and an ornament :)

I'm still at a loss for my parents really. I did get them each a calendar with photos of the grand puppies I know they will love. For my dad I also got him one of those foot sanders from qvc, and for the stocking some shaving cream and special bandages ( he is on Coumadin so he really goes through the special bandages and tape). I'm also going to get him a gift card to chick fil a and maybe to a target shooting range and lunch out since it's almost an hour away.
For my mom I only have gotten her some loofah sponges to go along with the calendar. I'm thinking of getting her a gift card to kmart - she is retired and the deductibles on her prescriptions are high so this would help her out. Not sure what else to get her though. She is also a qvc and hsn but so maybe a small Giftcard to each.
And then I will get is all some scratch offs for Christmas Eve.
I really hate doing gift cards because I always felt they were impersonal- but I would rather do that than junk that will get thrown out.
Keep the ideas coming people!

Hi everybody!! First off… I am not getting notifications from this thread for some crazy reason…
Secondly…we have had a most devastating and crazy last 2 weeks. I had been having some back pain that comes and goes, have a sprained foot that is FINALLY better after a podiatrist appt this week. The back X-rays came back fine, but they found a small (?) kidney stone which is supposedly NOT causing the back pain. Was told to get a deep tissue massage, which really helped so much yesterday. My Husbands best friend dropped dead of a heart attack Sat morning and he had his funeral this afternoon. My hubs preached the funeral and so that was super hard. Then, Sun night he was packing to go the Bahamas to a conference with Dr Myles Munroe and as we are packing got the sad news that their plane had crashed and he and his wife had died. This has been so devastating…I think he is really still in a state of shock. So, if you think about it, would you pray for our family?
And when at the Dr this week, found out my dd11 has strep throat.:sick::sick:
We have vacation next week and NEED to be well.

I missed this yesterday unfortunately because we were sick! So, let's pretend (AGAIN) that you are seeing this on Thursday!!! :

6 WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!:santa::santa:

2 WEEKS UNTIL THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Oh my! Prayers for strength to get through this, good health and safe travels!

Gorgeous time of year down here. Enjoy your trip! :thumbsup2
