I bought one thing today at Costco. It was a Hello Kitty sleeping bag with matching pillow for $20. My dd7 has pointed it out twice and they were almost gone.

My almost 8 year old dd wants a skateboard now instead of a new bike. I like the price but a little worried she is too young to use a skateboard. She already has a scooter.

Any advice on the skateboard? I read that you shouldn't buy a cheap $20 one at walmart because they aren't safe.

Anybody know where to find Roman numeral clocks for my DD-17? I've been looking, but it's hard to find something kind of cool looking for a teen. She's not really girlie and she likes nightmare before Christmas kind of stuff. Thanks! Also thinking of getting those Fugg boots, where do you find them? I've looked at Costco and haven't seen them---maybe it's too early? :goodvibes

Anyone ever done boodlebox.com or candyclub.com? These are monthly subscription boxes of fun little things for girls and then candy. I think my DD would really like getting something from either of these each month, but would love to hear some feedback.

What are some Disney trip-related stuff I could get the kiddos?? Already thought of autograph books and Mickey ears but my oldest has both already from our last trip. We'll be going in February so it makes sense for Santa to get them some goodies for their trip. ;)

Just purchased the first item for DH. We are expecting our first son a couple of weeks after Christmas (we have two girls), so I bought him and our little man matching Patriots Pom Pom hats like they wear on the sidelines....DH has wanted one for awhile.... Now he'll get to have a TWINSIE!! :goodvibes

Almost done with shopping for the girls.....last week I got them some new Lego Friends sets. Bought older DD a new violin case, and youngest DD a set of action figurines from Star Wars Rebels (she has been Star Wars obsessed for years and loves this new series...I'm sure Darth Vadar will end up marrying one of their Barbies....) :rolleyes2

I would say that I am about 75-80% done and Octobers not over yet!!! :cool1:

That's great! What if they start asking of stuff in November? I am always afraid to get too much before November because they usually are not up for giving me a list before then....plus they seem to add things as Christmas is near!

Boodlebox looks really cool! I showed that to my dds and my almost 8 year old loved it. I put it on her amazon wish list.

I thought so too. I think I'm going to add this to my DD's list too. The candy likely not because it all looks "gummie" and she just got braces.

Joining in :)

Christmas shopping has been a difficult this year I have dd's age 12,8,2
All 3 are into american girl but we have 16 dolls and a room and I a room just for the doll stuff we love very close to the store so I don't want to get a whole lot from there
My middle did want ivy which was being retired so I did pick that up for her
My oldest will get a few ag items but she really loves Star Wars and cooking so I picked up a few tee shirts and comic books and her big gift is her very own knife set.
Littlest will get the doc Mobil as her big gift but having a hard time getting toys for her we have so much here

My middle daughter will get lots of duffy items as she collects them

We are going to disney from dec 2-10 so that is part of the Christmas gift as I have had to cut back just to afford the trip

With my girls, they are always asking for stuff, LOL. My problem is that the toy magazines have started coming in (Toys R' Us and Target) so they have been going through those and all of a sudden coming up with stuff they "need".

I figure, we have enough quality presents purchased that they will be happy with, and if we want to or feel like buying more between now and then, it will just be icing on the cake! :goodvibes

My bonus kids know to start getting us their lists in September/October because we shop early and grandparents ask us around then for ideas. It's just the precedent we've set for a while.

Are there any gamers on this thread? My DS (21) is a huge gamer and currently has the XBox360 we live in an area where high speed internet is not available so we cannot use Xbox live, netflix, etc. Based on this is it worth it to upgrade to the XBox One or to the new PS device? Suggestions are appreciated!

So I have everything decided except for my one niece. She loves to cook so I thought I would get her a easy, basic cookbook and something cute to go with that. But then she won't have a "toy" to play with from me like her siblings. I know she would love the cooking stuff, but is it enough to take the place of the toy part of the gift? She is 10 if that matters and cooking really does seem to be a passion.

Otherwise, everything else is picked out and in a wish list on Amazon to buy. Then I have to order my dad's pizzas and all done!

My daughter is 10, and we are really moving away from toys this year. You will probably be fine. :)
