7DMT - Give it to me straight

Better than barnstormer, not better than the others. And it's VERY short. We rode it the first time, and it was over and we all were like "thats it?"

Oh, and it's a much better ride at night, in my opinion.

Agreed.

:D Unless you happen to have Memory Maker. If you have MM, then part of your ride video is stock footage taken during the daylight hours. The footage is a bit comical because it alternates between day/night. With the price of MM, IMO, Disney should fix that.

We loved it, and regretted not having FPs for it on every one of our three MK days. We hit it one last time on our final night, right before park close.

It's not a big-time coaster like the others, but it's got things the others don't have. Think of it as a more thrilling dark ride (though most of it is outside).

I notice the height restriction is 38 inches tall. My almost 3year old is that tall. But isn't it too scary for a kid that young?

Just an FYI,but, unless things have recently changed, you can enter Magic Kingdom when they let early ADRs in at 7:45 AM and go ahead and eat at BOG then even with your ADR times.:)

Couldn't secure a FP for the day we choose for MK. Hoping its not going to be horrible. Even if it is were gonna wait in SB line. Cant wait to ride 7DMTR!!!!

I was very excited to see that this is how they've been handling things! We're banking on them continuing this procedure at least for a few more weeks!!!

My kids (7 & 9) liked it, but didn't love it. For the sake of comparison, their favourites from best to least coasters were: EE, RnR, Space, Big Thunder, 7DMT and Barnstormer. As you can see they are thrill seekers. 7DMT just wasn't fast enough or high enough for them. On the other hand, we older folk (partner and I) would probably put it first since it has some thrills, great theming and didn't make us nauseous or hurt our necks or backs ;)

I go on BTMR once a trip, screaming all the way , but I really hate drops (won't do Splash at all). I have gone on Barnstormer. Both are just at my limit of "thrill". Will the drops on 7DMT, along with the swaying cars, feel worse to me than either of those (BTMR or Barnstormer)?

I think you'll have not problem riding it early. You may wait a bit, but the queue is interesting and pleasant. I think it's a lively, fun ride but it's much better at night, in my opinion.

I agree with some others, it's a cute fun ride, but very short and not worth waiting over 30 minutes. You go whoosh-whoosh-whoosh and then into the mine scene, then whoosh-whoosh-whoosh and into the cottage ending scene/unloading area. That's it. Lol.

Totally agree with the "that's it" sentiment. We felt the exact same way, I guess based on all the hoopla we expected more. It was fun, but I would not wait more than 15 mins or kill myself trying to get a fast pass.

We loved the ride. It is short but worthwhile for my family. We had fp's for 2 different days. We rode it standby at night. The que line is very cool. The ride was really neat at night.

But, I'm wondering how great the ride is, and I know that's subjective, but to give some perspective - my kids LOVE BTMRR, and the older two really like Space, and they all like Barnstormer. I'm wondering if this one is going to rank up there with those, or if we get it done once, that will be enough.

I don't miss it if the line isn't reasonable and it's not a must do ride for me. I do think your level of enjoyment depends on how long you would wait. It's a little better than barnstormer so whatever your threshold for wait time is, I would use that for if you want to get on line. Also the ride in the back is better, all hills down have a bump that your crawling over if in the front but in the back you have a little speed to feel it.. My first time on it I couldn't get a fastpass but we jumped into line 5 minutes before the park closed. The line only took 20 minutes, we got to try it and walked out happy to try the new ride without a 2 hour wait.

For us, it's not worth using a Fast Pass on, but we'll ride it if the line is about 25 minutes or less and we just happen to be in Fantasy Land.

In our opinion it's not worth a wait of more then a half hour
Yes it's a nice ride but it's short compared to the others

It's a fun ride, but I wouldn't wait more than 30 min (and at 30 minutes, there would be some hesitation. Like "you know I could use this time to get a Mickey bar AND see philharmagic")
The ride is very smooth, none of the jerkiness of barn stormer or thunder mountain. My nephew LOOOOVES it (7, and still vacillates between loving and being scared of space mountain)

Ask for the back of the train---it was faster back there. Also agree that it's much better at night.

We really enjoy it with our kids. Just to echo what everyone else has mentioned, it is certainly not a crazy thrill ride. It is kid friendly for the most part, and I particularly enjoy the indoor dark-ride element. We try to ride it on every trip.

Honestly for us...a little too hyped for what it is. We enjoyed it, but I am glad we didn't wait 60-75 mins for it. We got to ride it with little wait near closing one night. Worth riding once, but not worth an hour wait or so. I did like the video that they included in the memory maker. That was neat.
