$79.99 Tickets Are Back

Not for me...this is messed up.

Maybe they are just in the process of publishing the rates and it hasn't gone completely through just yet.

Google results show:
Vacation Deal: Great offers from Universal OrlandoYou can get unlimited admission* for up to a week to both Universal Studios Florida AND Universal's Islands of Adventure theme parks for only $79.99. ...

But clicking on the link gives me the 86 buck price.

It's only a few bucks, but multiplied by 4 is something.

I was going to buy tickets today, but will keep my eye out for this price instead.

someone else mentioned it before - try to clear your cookies and browsing history......go to www.universalorlando.com and see if that works

That's a great deal. Congrats to you guys for jumping on it. :)

I almost don't get it.. With Simpsons opening, a new attraction rumored for next year, Harry Potter under construction.. usually a park would RAISE ticket prices. But Universal's deals just keep getting better. :worship:

Harry Potter at Universal??????????????? Pleeeeease - I need details immediately!

Harry Potter at Universal??????????????? Pleeeeease - I need details immediately!
Universal is turning part of the Lost Continent area into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and will have several new attractions. The new section is expected to open in late 2009 or mid 2010. They are currently doing the earth moving around the Flying Unicorn area and are building a new support building near Turkey Lake Road.

This will give you a little more information:

On May 31, 2007, Universal Orlando announced that it had secured the rights from Warner Bros. and from British author J. K. Rowling to bring The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to Islands of Adventure. The twenty-acre island will feature attractions, shops and restaurants set inside such locations as the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade Village and the iconic Hogwarts castle. Some existing attractions within the Lost Continent are to be updated to the new theme, and will be joined by a state-of-the-art attraction that remains unannounced. J. K. Rowling revealed in a television interview that one ride will be designed for young children. Ground breaking is scheduled for 2007, with completion of the expansion planned for December 1, 2009. The new island will replace a portion of the Lost Continent, while expanding the park into what is currently a backstage support area and employee parking.

Wow - that is HUGE! Is it top secret or will I be able to get a peek at the construction area???

(sorry for the threadjacking :rolleyes1 )

When I click on this link: http://www.universalorlando.com/tickets.php I get the $79 deal. Many times the special deals are set for certain demographics. This has happened in the past--different deals for different parts of the country. If clearing your cookies doesn't work, you could try using and anonymizer so your IP address doesn't show up.

:confused3 I see it - wonder if I should grab these if there is no "expiration date" or use by date on them?? :confused3 :confused3

The tickets do not have an expiration date on them so you can use them 5 years from now if you want to. :goodvibes I buy tickets from Universal's website all the time and have never had a problem. The electronic pick-up is the most convenient method for us. I bypass the ticket windows and guest services and go directly to the electronic ticket kiosks. I forget the information that must be entered but the key is making sure you have the credit card that was used to pay for the tickets. The machine scans my credit card, I type in the information requested (confirmation# perhaps?), and like magic, our tickets pop out of the machine! The only expiration date on the ticket will be 7 days after you first use it.
Good luck!

Got it!

I had had to delete cookies as well as browsing history (even removed temporary internet files.)

I completed the survey at the end for the coupon certificate. Has anyone done that before? Is the certificate any good?

Thanks to the Op for posting this. I just scored 3 tickets at $258 tax included. That is an awesome price. :)

Considering the economic outlook we may see some killer deals in the near future. I don't know if the ticket prices will get much lower than this, but I doubt it. I would expect to see some sweet package deals come out in the near future as well.

Right now I have a Super Savings rate at PBH for October, combined with this ticket price is really a great deal. I'll probably do the ticket upgrade when we check-in for Halloween Horror Nights.

just went to the site and can't check out to final price :scared1:

Sorry, the online ticket store is unavailable at this time. Please try again later.

5 tickets at 79.99+tax+.99each for pickup =$431
5 tickets at my local AAA office no delivery =$425

I still got a better deal I think :thumbsup2

can someone tell me the difference between the electronic and printed ticktets? Do we exchange either one for a card when we get there or how does it work?

Your AAA must have different prices than ours - my price came up 5 tix at $452.

Does the $79 include tax?

Electronic, you pick up at a kiosk at the park and you will get a printed ticket. Print at home, you don't have to stand in any lines but use your printed tickets on printer paper for your ticket.

The kiosk is very quick and gives you a nice little ticket.

I just ordered these tickets and chose print them at home. They are huge. I thought these would be exchanged for actual tickets? Do you just go through the gate with these or exchange them? TIA!

Usually those are your tickets. You can go to Guest Services and exchange them for regular tickets.

::yes:: We had those print at home last year and took them tu guest services and got the regular tickets :goodvibes

In FireFox I can't get it to show the $79.99 (even after clearing my data). Switch over to IE and it pops right up. Good luck guys and gals!

I suggest the electronic pick up because the guest services lines are always so long and time consuming. (FOTL has me spoiled!) Electronic pick-up at the kiosks is so quick and easy. If by chance you run into a problem with electronic pick-up, guest services can look up your purchase. I prefer carrying around an actual ticket rather than an 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece of paper.
