7 years since joining disboards

Holy cow, it has been 7 sevens today since I join the disboards. Can not believe it.

I just rented someone's points over ebay and I was investigating DVC's when I came across this site.

It probably seems like yesterday when all that happened. Days just seem to zoom by, with exception of those last few days before we leave for a Disney vacation. Those go by so slow. However, I can tell you the wait is not as bad, post retirement, but time flies even faster.

You remind me of how many things have changed since I joined in 1999. When I first joined, Simba was the kitten we'd gotten from the humane society that day. Now he's an elderly, totally deaf grump. DS #1 had just graduated from HS. Now we just returned from taking his 2 daughters, our DGDs, to WDW for their first trip. But I haven't aged at all in 16 years! And one of my first posts was to complain because with our new DVC membership, we couldn't get our home resort at 5 months out. You guys have taught me so much-for example, we'd never heard of "resale"-now we've used it 3 times. Thanks all!

I think that is why our eyesight gets weaker as we age. This way when we wake up and look in the mirror in the morning we see ourselves 16 years younger!

Can't believe it's been 15 years for me. I used to live on these boards and went to many DISmeets when I was on the college program at Disney. Time sure does fly.

I have been a DIS member for almost 11 years and when I first joined, we weren't even DVC members yet. It was thanks to this board that we became DVC members and I am so glad we did!

I go back to August 1999! Not that long after I got my first home computer! It was less than a month before I bought DVC, my papers are dated 9-11-99. Hard to believe it was exactly 2 years before 9-11-01, seems like so much longer.
