Yep, that sounds like a good idea. We can also "arrange" a DIS meet on board, on the first day. When we did the Med cruise, there was a DIS meet were we changed small presents from where you live...

for I know if we go to Rockin' Bar D on embarkation day, we can get the date/time we want. Got the Palo Dinner on Grand Cayman day at 6:30.

With excursions, not sure yet for we have a 23 month old baby with us and not sure what the restrictions are. Our 2 older kids "kinda" have done so fat what they wanted to do in our last cruises except Stingray, I guess they are my little "chickens"
Four Elements looked interesting for my hubby and 2 older kids but knowing my hubby, he won't do it withous me and the baby so not sure with their restrictions on that one. The Nachi Cocom, Chankanaab and Paradise Beach looks GREAT too. We were not able to go to Coz on our 2005 cruise bcuz the port was closed at that time so hoping this year we will be ablo to with lots of prayers.

Any suggestions for Grand Cayman? I think we did the 7 mile beach before, jet ski'd and just relax by the beach.

In regards to FE, hmmm, not a creative person here so don't know how to make those but of course willing to participate..... Any creative person out there that can give me a step by step details on how to make one without "sewing"

We just booked this cruise using the AAA discount and we are so excited to be cruising again! We will be in room 5126 (DH, DW, and DD-13) and room 5127 (DD-turning 16 on cruise and her BFF-16). DH, BFF and I are not going to let our 2 DDs know about this cruise until we go to the airport on July 25! (Do you think we can keep a secret for that long?) We would love to join a FE exchange - my 2 DDs think it is so much fun to participate! Glad to be joining!

In Grand Cayman we are doing the pirate cruise....I have boys, but it sounds like a blast. They get to walk the plank and I read there is rum punch for the adults!

TT, have you done FE exchanges on another cruise (or have any of our posters here)? Let's say that we make/buy and hang FEs, and we compile a list of cruisers' cabin numbers that have them...then what?

Do people tend to leave gifts mostly for the kids? Do they leave little notes, or plan DIS get-togethers? Do people leave things on a daily basis? I realize that there is no set plan, I just want to get a handle on how things have been done in the past.

It has been awfully quite around here! I have been thinking that something is wrong with our thread.

Anyway, we are very interested in the FE's and will be looking forward to seeing what we all come up with. I like the idea of having people bring gifts/trinkets of places where we are from either for the FE gifts or an exchange party.

I just reserved a rental car. I used AVIS. It was about $42 from WDW to DCL and about $38 from DCL to MCO.

ALSO, I just filled out all my online documents for check-in. I do have one question, though. For payment information...I'd like to put my credit card number in but I have my disneyhoneymoonregistry gift card that I may or may not use on the cruise. Depends on how much of it I use in WDW the week before. If I put my credit card down, does that mean I CAN'T use the gift card? Should I put "other" payment? I'm confused, I don't know which is better.

ok i'm up on things now, I am not sure what we have to make to do the FE I also am a scrap booker and not a sewing person......help!! We have rooms 6551 and 6553 I wanted the large suite but they were all gone when we booked.
we are doing the glass bottom boat tour in key west, seven mile beach in grand cayman, our big kids are doing the wild side in castaway cay, two are doing bottom fishing and some of us are doing the eco tour in castaway cay. DH and I are having a couples massage/couples choice on day 6. I am hoping this is the one with the vista on the web site it is but in the booking it doesnt mention it? we booked our palo dinner that night also, Im just hoping that is a good night its at 9pm.

are any other teens going on the wild side in castaway cay?

Thank goodness after reserving exc. so late what we wanted was still in there!

I think I would choose other, and that way you can use whatever you want.
On our last cruise we were pretty paranoid about our spending, so we would go to guest service to pay things off pretty regularly. I guess in my mind it kept things in check for me. I assume we will do the same thing this time.

I have been looking around about the FE's. You can get some on Ebay and they range from about $10 up to $40. I think I am going to take a shot at making a "No Sew" one I saw. If you go to the "Fish Extenders?" thread and look on page 42, post #609 for Disgirl83-she gives directions on how to make them. We'll see how it goes...
