7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise July 25 - August 1, 2009

I was poking around my reservation on the DCL site and saw it posted....:surfweb:

I guess that is my assignment. :confused3

We were given our room assignment right after we booked with a travel agent. :thumbsup2 We got cabin 2074 which seems to have a good review, but does not have a balcony. Has anyone ever done an upgrade on embarkation day?

Does anyone know if we can have our DD-7, whose birthday is in October pixiedust:, move up to the Disney Oceaneer Lab in lieu of the Oceaneer Club? :confused3 She was in the Oceaneer Club when she was 4 and she does not think she will enjoy it again. :scared1: The Oceaneer Lab :wizard: seems more her age. :cheer2:

My DD is 7 and her birthday is in September. She is not sure which club she would prefer, but maybe our two could get together and have some fun!

I just talked with a Disney Cruise specialist and they indicated that people on the ship will make the determination if the child can move up to the lab in lieu of the club. Being that our DD is an only child we have a hard time getting her to go to the kids activities without us. :scratchin It would be great to have another DD for her to hang around with. :chat:

We have booked the Xcaret Eco Archeological Park excursion for Cozumel. Has anyone been there? What was anyone's experience?

I have a DD who is 8 too. She loves company.

She loves to play with friends. Let us know if you are looking for a pen pal before we sail. :goodvibes

That's a GREAT idea!!

I think pen/e-pals would be a great idea as well with DD's of KWalters and TxPrinceCharmingDad as well as any other girls around the age of 7-8 years. My DD's name is Beth and her favorite Disney character is Tinker Bell. :tinker: She is really excited at the chance to swim with the dolphins on one of our excursions.

Very neat idea...:cool1:

Our DD's name is Vivian and she doesn't know yet that she is swimming with the dolphins in Coz. It is a suprise!! :rolleyes1

Just PM me and we can set them up. :cheer2:

Hello Everybody,

Our board has been so quiet... I need my vacation so much right now! Just to vent a little...15 more days of school left. I love my students but I'm looking forward to "handing " them back to their own moms, and having lots of fun time with my child. Who by the way is just getting over a week of suffering with pnenomia. I can't imagine what it would be like if he was sick on the trip. Today was his frist trip outside the house except for Dr. visits.

Two months from today... I'll be in my happy place... big rim hat covering my freckled face, reading a trashy magazine, sipping iced coffee from the Quiet Cove.. while DS is having a blast in his Club. My husband will probably be sitting on he hot rock lounger in the rainforest spa.

What are you looking forward to?

Susan :cool1:

As of now, I am most looking forward to the first sight of the ship while driving up and the excitement of going aboard and the sail-away party. I'm also looking forward to pulling a chair into the ocean on Castaway Cay with a frosty beverage in my hand, the sun on my face and my feet in the water. Other than that, as a newbie, I'm excited for everything else that I really have no idea how awesome it's going to be!!!

This will maybe get me classified as a DCL crazy...:confused3
but I am looking forward to the FE exchange. :hippie:

Since we are still keeping this cruise as a secret from our 2DDS, I am looking forward to seeing their reaction of this suprise cruise for the DD turning 16!:banana::banana: I don't know if I can keep this secret this long.:scared1: I want the cruise to start now, too. But for us, school will start the week after the cruise, so that also means the end of summer for us.:lmao:

Our family is so excited about this adventure....everything will be new to us! Since I am a "beach girl," I can't wait to be on the beach!

Please, give us a hint!:flower3: I've started picking up a few things for the kids but I haven't decided about the adults. It is harder for me this time since I can't let my 2DDS help me! Does anyone know how many people have joined our FE exchange?

Are you giving any hints???

Wellll... I'll guess I can tell you that I found them in the Oriental Trading Scrapbook catalog. These are more of a "family" type thing. I will still have to think of munchkin gifts.
Just wish I knew how many of each to do.:rolleyes1
