7-Night Western Caribbean Cruise July 25 - August 1, 2009

Do you have your plan in place?

Doing Palo? Dinner? Brunch?

What are you MOST looking forward to?

I would like Palo brunch, I'm not particular on time or day at all, I just want it!!

I have an excursion picked for each port...

Key West - GPS walking tour

Cozumel - Fury Catamaran, Snorkel and Beach Party

Grand Cayman - Dolphin Encounter (this is the one I'm most worried about so I'm going for this FIRST! well maybe after palo brunch...)

Castaway Cay - Parasailing

Hi all! We will be joining everyone on our first cruise! We would be me, DH, DS 11, and DS 8. I guess we booked late for a cruise, but we are so last minute that this seems early to plan for us! Looking forward to a fun week at sea with everyone!

Welcome to our cruise!! It going to be our first cruise too, although we booked in March...of 2008! Not long now!!

For those that really REALLY want to overplan things (that would be ME), here are the "Personal Navigators" for a Magic sailing that resembles ours (7-night western):

http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/DCL-Navigators/11-01-08-dm/index.htm

The "Personal Navigator" is the daily newsletter for the cruise, delivered early each morning, and showing what events are planned for that day, what kids' clubs activities are planned and when, dining and bar hours, party announcements, schedule of on-board events, what the (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) drinks of the day are, what's on sale at the Treasure Ketch, where and when characters will be located for photo-ops, what Disney movie is playing in the Buena Vista theater (and when), what movie will be playing on the "ArielView" poolside bigscreen (and when), etc.

Looking at these example PNs will give you a feel for what kids, adult, and family activities are available and (possibly) when. Allways remember that our sailing is not guaranteed to have the exact same event schedule. In other words, use it as a guide, not the final word. ;)

Bring a highlighter on the cruise, as you will probably want to highlight your PN with the things that you really want to do that day.

Less than 24 hours now until the first time DCL cruisers can start booking Palo, shore excursions, etc.! :woohoo: (I think?)

Thanks for the navigators and information! I'm a super planner! I actually found a Diser that lives a few towns over and borrowed HER western caribbean navigators from her last trip!

I'm getting super-excited to do my bookings!! It's actually Sunday at midnight so I have to wait a little longer.....

Just booked our cruise for this summer:cool1: This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise with DH, DW and DD. Our DD is 7 (8 in October) and we would really like to make contact with other DD's around her age to possibly hang out with on the cruise.

Everbody ready to stay up past midnight tonight?? Or am I the only first-time cruiser on this thread?! I'm so excited!

I'm so excited!! Is there a reason why one day is better than another for Palo bruch?? I'm hoping I can get any time at all, I'm not being particular about it! I'm going for that first, then the dolphins!

Susan, do they have any DVC events (get togethers, etc.) on the cruise? If so, do you know what day or time is typical? (We just recently bought into DVC). Thanks![/QUOTE]

Yes WideEyed...they do have DVC meets on board, and they leave little gifts in your room... Warning... my husband has a tendency to buy more points when we are on board...he swears it's the best deal... KEEPS ME HAPPY

Thanks Susan! I took my nap so now I just have to wait.....

I hope there are no problems, I will report as soon as I'm done!

Good luck getting what you want!
We are Castaway Members, so we got in early-but I stuck it out until midnight too on our day to register. We had a few issues waiting for it to open, but finally got in and got all that we wanted. :worship:

Okay, new cruisers, about 10 minutes to go before you can book Palo, excursions, etc. Good luck to you all!
