Hello.

My wife will be 7 months pregnant when we take advantage of
of Disney's Magic your way plus dining package. The dining will
be easy, but what rides can she go on? Soaring? Splash?
Thanks Toon

I went there when I was 6 months pregnant and really was too afraid to go on any of the rides that had physical limitations like splash mountain, the out of control train. They even post that you should not go on these rides if you are pregnant. I stuck to easy rides like the pirate ride and carosel of progress. I was just too afraid. I really wouldn't advise going on the rides it says not to go when pregnant.

Here is a posting from allears about going to the parks while pregnant. It has a list of rides that have postings for expectant mothers NOT to ride. I also think you can get special maps at Guest Services that have the same sort of information.

Have fun

But don't worry....I went at 32 weeks and there was still so much I could do. And I didn't go on anything that said pregnant women should not ride EXCEPT the safari ride. And then I asked for the first row. I will say that I had been on it before and was comfortable with it. And my doctor had approved "mild" coasters without a lot of G-force, I just wasn't comfortable with anything other than the Safari - but that was definitley a personal choice. I will say that Disney will be there after the baby gets here. And our first trip with baby we didn't even babyswap we were enjoying her so much - and I didn't even miss RNRC - much anyway :)

Thanks for the link.
I will be six months pregnant when we go and know that I'll have to skip a few favorite rides. I was wondering about the new Soaring ride...does anyone know if it has any restrictions?

I am currently 21 weeks and we just got back and Soarin was one of my favorite rides. There are no real forces against you (just wind, etc) since you actually aren't moving, so I don't think its restricted. (if it was - I dont see why).

Thank you! That's exactly what I was wondering...I thought it was more of a "in your head" kind of ride than an actual ride that flies around.

My sister was only four weeks when we were in Disney (she had lost two babies before). She was quite nervous about what rides she could and could not go on. She went on Soarin because there are no restrictions for that ride dealing with pregnant women.

The park maps indicate which rides have restrictions for people with specific ailments or women who are pregnant!

Wishing everyone happy and healthy babies! :flower:

Be careful because some rides have limitations and the rides don't seem that dangerous, but the reasoning may not be what you expect. For instance, Splash Mountain says no preggers not because of the drop, but because of the position you must sit in. I think they said something about feet being a little raised. Apparently this is not good for a pregnant woman.... Have fun and be safe! :wave2:

HI Lesley from scotland here - was 5 months one time we went

no for most rides - can do most in fantasy land

hope it helps

in the Magic Kingdom rides you CAN do:
--pirates of the caribean (there is a tiny little drop at the beginning....no big deal....i did this one pregnant...)
--tiki tiki birds (you sit and watch a cute animatronics show
--jungle cruise - it's mild, i think she can do this one...
--haunted mansion (you ride but slowly...just a viewing kind of ride)
--tom sawyer's island -- you take a raft out to an island....it's meant for kids, but we enjoy exploring the caves and bridges...it's best when the park is very uncrowded
--country bear jamboree- animatronics show...
--hall of the presidents - self explanatory (animatronics show)
--peter pan - it's a slow kiddie dark ride where the car hangs instead of rides, but it's very mild....a kiddie ride but very pretty
--it's a small world
--Mickey's philharmagic....--- this is a super good 3D movie...really a must see
--snow white -- a stupid dark ride, but your wife can ride it (by the way, i think that winnie the pooh might be a bit too much for her...the bouncing on the ride...but maybe not)..
--buzz lightyear's space ranger spin - it sounds wild but it's not at all...a slow ride where you control the movement of your car and where you get to shoot at targets...a really cute ride....everyone loves it....
--stitch's escape - your wife can ride this (as you just sit in a chair) but it's a TERRIBLE ride...terrible..
--carousel of progress -- if it's open....it's an animatronics show...
--TTA - tomorrowland transit authority - slow ride that takes you around tomorrowland..

rides that i don't think she can ride in the MK - Splash Mountain, Big Thunder MOuntain, Space Mountain, also probably not the teacups....

that's all i can remember.....
