Yes I am a true DISer & I am ready to think about our next vacation in July 2012. Our plan to visit DL from Saturday-Saturday with one day to take the Orange County Beach Bus Tour. Should we add another day trip away from Anaheim or would we be so busy at DL/DCA because of Carsland & we are first time guests?

Four to five days would be plenty for both parks, so if there is something else you'd like to do, go ahead. You can always head back into the parks at night if you feel like it.

I'd plan on 4-5 park days, rent a car, and do 2-3 beach days on your own. The beaches are not far from the DLR area. Heck, you could take Beach Blvd all the way.

For us, we wouldn't go anywhere else.

During our second year of APs I was at the parks a total of 18 days, and I still have not done everything I *want* to do, let alone *everything*.

If I'm in Anaheim, I'm at the parks.

I'm actually debating this very topic myself, for our upcoming August trip. We plan on going to Sea World, and I'm debating Legoland or the SD Zoo. I feel like it will be busy in August, and we may not be able to do as much as we used to (when we used to go in May) so we may need more time. Also the kids want swimming time, which takes away from park time.

Sorry, that isn't helpful to you, but I'm reading along with this thread to see what others have to say.

We are WDW vets, and we'll be in California in a few weeks! My DD has been wanting to go to Hollywood!

We bought 5 day park hoppers for Disneyland, and we're planning to take two days to do some touring of Hollywood, etc. There's a hop on/hop off bus that takes you to Hollywood, Rodeo Dr, etc, and it also has a loop for doing some beaches.

I'm excited to be going back to Disneyland - I haven't been since 1978! And my DD is excited to be able to do Disney AND Hollywood!

Have a great trip!

We have dome Knotts on our last 2 trips. It is overpriced and run down compared to DLR, however there are a few roller coasters that my DH and DD7 really like. Just don't end your trip there bc it is a little disappointing compared to DLR. :)
