7 day Western - May 7, 2005???

Hi all :cool1:
Feelings, nothing more than feelings :charac2: Sorry guys started singing again.. :rotfl: I was thinking of Cumbaya but, wanted to keep it non-denominational.. :rotfl2: yes if you want specific cruise pins from the cruise ship - sure I can get some for ya as I know they always have a mothers day pin.I will be going to the pin trading meets and carry my pin bag ,if I can lift it up..I have a few for trading but, I have noticed that e-bay prices have skyrocketed lately :boat: I can't remember but, I hope to purchase pin bag on board.I have to go and get some more ink for the printer tomm and try to finish up so I can do door signs.. :earboy2: Yes of course you can walk around with your own wine or drinks and you can take a glass of wine to dinner with you also.. You should be able to purchase the wine in Key West after 1:00pm in FL..Hard Liquer is the only thing I am taking on board for some Margarita's and we are having Disney's own Iron Horse delivered to the room.. Maybe we can take over the rear 7 floor deck as the DIS Hangout(Just real windy) and of course everyone on the board or who has a passporter knows about it now.. 3 years ago it was us and 3 other people on most of the days.. :bounce:
See ya later James

Debbie... I bet our bedrooms look the same. I started packing and I have piles everywhere. Along with the "laundry" pile and the "don't fit me anymore" piile. It makes sense to me, but others would think that a hurricane blew through.

I got Phillies shirts for my kids too, just to state where we're from (even though they STINK SO BAD YOU CAN SMELL 'EM IN FLORIDA). It was more fun in the fall to wear our EAGLES jerseys!
Back to my piles.......

Rachel,
My husband is the Phillies fan and of course the Eagles fan but me I'll be wearing my Buc's shirt for pirate night because I'm a buc's fan. I think I would just die if someone saw my bedroom right now. No extra bedroom at my house. You have a safe drive down here.

Are you all wearing your pirate gear to dinner or just after dinner? Because I read on another thread, (that no one wears it to dinner). I had all intentions of wearing it to dinner.Oh Yea! I got little eye patches for all the kids. pirate:

Debbie :wave2:

By the way.. they mystery man is CERTAINLY NOT my DH. He doesn't know what "clandestine operation" means...... hell, I don't know what that means. And he never uses the word WHOM. He's a Philly boy. HE DON'T TALK THAT WAY. YUZ' GUYS WOULD KNOW IT IF IT WAS HIM!

I'll be the one on deck with the guy that says "wooter".

Debbie,
My family is planning to wear our pirate outfits pirate: to dinner. How many times can a person change in one day??? :confused3 I thought dinner was part of the whole pirate theme. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

Are yuz guys insinniatin' that some of the DHs ain't too edukated? :rotfl: Just kidding! My husband has an MBA but still has some issues with the English language. There's actually a thread about grammatical pet peeves. Really funny!

Time to get some shut eye. Tomorrow's just another day closer. :Pinkbounc
:wave2: Linda

Susie, if you have room for a blender, I could use some packing tips from you!!! Heavy sigh! :goodvibes

And speaking of packing... do you/have you all ever checked a garmet bag through? This is my husbands plan, but I think we've always carried ours on the plane. Of course that was BK (before kids!!) I was planning on putting all of our dressy dresses in it, along with hubbys suit, etc. but I'm a tad worried about checking it. What do you guys think?

I've definitely checked a garment bag through flights before. And I'm planning to do it again. DHs suit and my dressy clothes, basically because I wouldn't have a clue how to fold them. Our garment bag is old and I don't know if they still make them this way but the bottom can be pulled up and belted to the top and there's a handle at the top so it almost looks like a suitcase.

It's not that I HAVE room for the blender, I must MAKE the room! :rotfl2:
I have checked in garment bags before, but if it's something you absolutely can not live without, I personally wouldn't do it. My sister went on a cruise and flew into Tampa. They lost their luggage and didn't get it til the 5th day of their trip. Dh and I flew to PA (The Poconos  !) a few months back. Luggage got lost. Thank goodness it was on the trip home. It took about 5 days as well. I hate to stress you out over it, but I was frantic about it. Mainly b/c I wasn't too smart and stuck the digital camera etc. in with it.

Yippee!! The kids are off to school :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: and I am alone to pack :cool1: Of course, I still have a trip to Walmart this week :rolleyes1

Only THREE days until we leave for sunny (hopefully) FL!

Garment Bags.... if they're the soft-sided ones, I highly recommend taking them onboard the plane. They have a small closet right at the entrance where you can hang it up. You just never know what'll happen to those nice, unwrinkled clothes when you check them in!

We'll definitely have our Pirate outfits on for dinner.... we have late seating so we're sure not going to run back to the stateroom at 10pm to put them on! pirate:

Messy Guest Rooms? Oh puleeze... try guest room, dining room, master bedroom, laundry room.... and, after Kaykels comes over today so we can make our green t-shirts, add the kitchen to the list too!

Can't wait to meet you all! :Pinkbounc

Linda - I assume the mystery man belongs to you?? ;)

We're planning on wearing our pirate outfits to dinner (early seating). pirate:

Okay... I'm freakin' out abit now with only 3 days till we leave. I'm second guessing everything that I've packed and wonder if I should take everything out and start over :earseek:

No, no, no, not mine. Read back a page. The mystery man belongs to MommyMouse...lucky her!

Yeah....I must say, I am a lucky girl :rolleyes2 Dh doesn't actually do much in the packing department and DOES do well in staying out of the way. However...he has been great in doing anything or getting anything I need him to do. Gave him a list of lunchtime duties today...Thanks FlybyCruise! :lovestruc :love2:

Yup...I'm second guessing everything I've packed too. Therefore...I'm just adding more :rotfl2:

What exactly to you all wear for pirates attire? I'm new at this, so can you help me out? pirate: Found eyes patches and a hook for the hand for the kids, but thats about it. I figure mine would kill each other with the swords

My entire house is a disaster. Trying to clean between packing isn't working. :sad2: I am leaving to go grocery shopping. I tried to tell them all we don't need to eat this week b/c we'll have more than our share next week. So far...no one is buying it :confused3

I'm Ready........... I'm ready.......... I'm ready...........
Do I sound like sponge Bob?????
Gotta love sponge Bob.

I packed and re- packed
nothing left to do but to wait for Thursday
My DH helped I am very fortunate.

Today is our anniversary 18 years !!!!
We got a new digital camera Now I have to figure out how to use it before the weekend :earboy2:

I can't wait to me all you crazy people!!!!

:goodvibes HAPPY ANNIVERSARY gooftoo!! 18 years is a long time- we will be 19 yrs in dec

DS6 and i will be wearing our pirate costumes to dinner...we never could find anything for DH so he will just wear the complimentary bandanna pirate:

i have my DS6 at work with me today and he is driving me insane..."i'm bored, i'm hungry"....the list is endless  oh well, no one to blame but myself since i wanted to keep him out of school this week:rolleyes:

mommymouse- my son is wearing the same costume he has on in the thread- i am wearing a stripped shirt, baggy black capris, bandanna & big earings- i will probably look more like a gypsy :confused3

boy, today is just draggin for me- i was pretty good this AM- i didn't wake up till 6am as opposed to 5am.... i probably wont sleep thurs at all :earseek:

Congratulations, Goofytoo and Goofytoo's DH!!! :cheer2: 18 years is a great accomplishment! These days, 5 is!!! :rotfl2: DH & I celebrated 25 years last September. We've basically been married forever. It's a very comfortable place to be.

Mommymouse...you think your house is any different than anyone else's??? :confused3 I have to do a turbo-cleaning on Friday because my neighbor brings in our mail and takes care of our cats and she is a super neat freak. Her house ALWAYS looks like a model home. Kind of weird, never a piece of mail on the counter or a toy on the floor. Creeps you out a little!!! :scared1: She's a really good person, though. Speaking of good people, I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET ALL OF YOU!!!
:wave2: Linda

Congratulations Goofytoo! 18 years, wow! Great job!

yeah, I think all of us will be frantically cleaning Thursday and Friday! Wonder who will have the worst dishpan hands?! LOL!

Well, we are 98% packed now! DH took pity on me and helped me yesterday to get things together. I was pulling my hair out with both hands! I did end up Sunday morning in bed on meds for my back but was much better yesterday afternoon to get this done! Stress relieve! I feel much more calm now......aaaaaaahhhhhhh....

Question for previous DCL cruisers - wondering about the luggage tags from DCL. Do they really stay on? I just can see them coming off and not getting our luggage for the cruise! This is my new nightmare! Any help?

Bratray,
the day is dragging for me too. I feel sorry for you, spending the day with your DS at work. Did you try the party store for your DH?

DGD is sick. Sore throat, ear ache and she hurt her back doing cart wheels.I'm taking her to the doctors tonight. Just one more thing to do tonight, plus last book report for the year is due Friday.

Can't wait to see everyone and relax.

Debbie  :earseek:

hi

didn't try the party store...i am kind of shopped out and broke :guilty: maybe, maybe, maybe:)

Thank You for all of the Happy Anniversary wishes.
My house is all cleaned and I only have to vaccuum again one more time
I too have a cat sitter coming.
you gotta get the litter up from the floor and make sure there is not too much cat fur flying around.

Does anyone know where I can find happy face buttons you know the yellow ones like walmart?

Also being a newbie with my digital camera can I put it through security?
will the x ray machines bother the memory card?

we will be wearing tropical shirts and shorts/capris and the complimentary bandana.

Hopefully our excursion does not get back at 5:45

Unless you have disney transfers do not put your tags on before you get to the port.
we always have our regular tags on them and put your name address and phone number in a pocket.

Because I have OCPD
We pack our stuff spread out
3 outfits in each bag that way if bag gets lost we each have clean underpants etc you can never have too many clean underpants.
wait maybe I have some other disorder that I am not aware of......... :guilty:

3 more wake ups and we will be on our magical journey!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Lisa
I know what it is like to bring DS to work....... not that fun
