Cast: Me 32, Husband 33, Son 10, Daughter 7
After a wonderful nights sleep in the awesome beds at the HRH, we woke up around 7:30am. We had breakfast at concerige!!! Okay, my husband was now loving this!!! They had donuts, bagels, muffins, fruit, coffee, tea, milk, oj, grapefruit juice and cereal. This was perfect for us since we aren't usually breakfast eaters (I am throwing in a disclaimer to this sentence...wait until you hear about WDW breakfast!!! LOL) ....this filled the kids up perfectly!!!
Around 9am we walked over to IOA....the place was EMPTY...but I had our FOTL access passes...and I was ready to use them...if need be!!!
Son and I rode Hulk...than Hubby and son rode hulk. After hitting everything in the comic land (except Dr. Doom), we decided to get wet...keep in mind that is still is only about 10:45am...and we are now at another section of the park. We go ahead and ride all the water rides...(did I mention that I HATE BEING WET!!!)... We ride jurassic and we decide to eat lunch...its now about 11:45am. I forget the name of the resturant (and I have lost all maps so that is no help to me). We get 2 turkey legs and salads and drinks. $37.00 not bad considering we had plenty of food. BUT boy was it FREEZING in there!!!.(did I mention that we were still WET!!)
We finished the rest of IOA...then my son decides he MUST ride HULK again..."okay" I say...hubby was not up for it....so.....of course I go with him....we ride once...then he says "hey mom, there is no line...lets go again", okay honey...I ride once more (are you keeping track thats twice in a row, plus the ride this morning, plus duling dragons...etc....), we hop right on....the ride is over and the cute guy who is helping people into the seats suggests that we stay on...just move over a seat...I did not have the courage to look like a wimp in front of this very young hottie....so I ride with my son for the 3rd TIME IN A ROW!!! That was it....I had to get off...I sersiously almost passed out...we found hubby in the arcade and he said that I looked "green". I sat there for about 10 mins....praying that I would not be sick.
After regaing my center of gravity...we leave IOA and walk back to HRH....the kids throw their bathing suits on...and head for the pool with hubby....I sit and watch soap net for a few mins...then decide to make ressies at the sunset grill downstairs...they told us that they were going to have face painting and magic. I then go and meet the rest of the gang at the pool...we head back upstairs to get dressed for dinner...and the kids see all of the food in the concerige again...they start snacking on hotdogs and pretzels (bruce springstein night)....We go get dressed and grab the kids...we get downstairs and they see the icecream shop, and of course they are not hungry...so we cancel our ressies and order big huge sundays instead. We go back to the room to finish off our ice cream ( and figured that me and Hubby would order room service later).
It is now about 8:00 pm and there is a KNOCK at the door...it is guest services standing there with a HUGE tray of popcorn, candy and sodas....along with a free in room movie ticket!!!! They said that is from concerige for our "inconvience". So I immediately go down to concerige and tell them that they have made some kind of mistake...we have NOT be inconvienced at all. Apparently the Sunset Grill cancelled the face painter and Magician...and when Heather and Stacey found about it, (they had made the ressie for us)...they did not want us to be dissapointed. I told them that we cancelled the ressie before we even knew...and they said to just enjoy the popcorn and movie anyway...!!! And we DID!!!! It was a VERY nice gesture...and we made sure that the hotel knew how much it meant to us.
