Planning a 7-day trip September 2006 (sunday-saturday). Will arrive around 10PM saturday night and stay at off-site hotel to be ready for sunday at resort or parks. Thinking about first four days at each of the parks, then a day off then two days left to go back to the two parks that the group chooses. Is a full day at a park too much on that sunday? What ideas/suggestions does anyone have on what to do first few days to get a good fun start? Any planning ideas and/or suggestions are welcomed. We will have a large group (16 people, five families). How do others approach where and when they'll be so as to plan on dining reservations? I wouldn't normally worry, but with a large group, I'm thinking the more planning the better.

I have read that it is best to save the MK for last, because most people feel that it is the best park. I think it really depends on what you want to see the most. The MK does have the most rides, and we always start there. I just can not wait to get there on my first day. We always spend our last day here as well. We buy the park hoppers, because I like to go to one park in the morning & another in the afternoon.

I've read that too, and although we tried that on our first trip a year ago, we didn't like it. Our kids were exhausted by the end of our vacation and couldn't truly enjoy the Magic Kingdom.

thanks! I think saving MK is probably not a good idea either. When do you guys normally arrive at WDW? I was thinking that jumping right in the first day is a good idea b/c we will have gotten a decent nights rest (by arriving around 10PM the night before) and just so we don't waste the day. It seems to me that a mid-week break is better than taking it slow the first couple of days.

We have more energy towards the beginning of the trip so we usually go park crazy early on..I'd do my pool/rest day mid week to get energy for the 2nd half of the trip. We also do MK the first full day of our stay we also do it on our last day....I have to see the castle as soon as I get there & its the last thing I see when we leave.
