our flight was cancelled and they rebooked us getting into BCN on Saturday night. Awesome. American Airlines, you suck. The end.

We leave tomorrow afternoon at 6:20, arrive in BCN at 7:30 am after a likely sleepless night. Them embarkation pictures iz gonna be purrrrrrty!!

Same thing happened to us. American Airlines moved heaven and earth, but we made it!

5 hour delay SO FAR on our flight from Stockholm to Barcelona. Thought we'd be OK. being on the continent already. We should make the departure, but likely won't make the 3pm meet-up unless something amazing happens. Sigh.

Hey All,

I wanted to thank you all for making this a memorable cruises for us. We had a great time (Eileen, Abby, and Dan). It was a real pleasure meeting all of you at the meet and then seeing you at the different tastings (Cognac and Whiskey) on the Excursions, and even hearing Wendy and Warren's Nathalie rock out the Karaoke with her rendition from the Little Mermaid.

It was fun getting to know the group a bit at a time over the 11 days and glad we had only a 75 minute flight home!!

We signed up for another one, but just as a place holder for the hopeful Eastern Med cruise in 2013.....

Please tell Krisztina Happy Birthday! Our oldest daughter has the same birthday, and she also just turned 14! (celebration involved pasta and electronics. Not at the same time. )

Thank you for the wishes and glad you all made the cruise - even though it was later. Krisztina was happy to get your daughter's note and we hope you all had a good time. I hear that there is already a facebook page that the teens set up yesterday as soon as they got home.

We also prebooked a cruise with the plan to change it to a 2013 european cruise if they have it - keeping our fingers crossed.

I went back to work today as well. Thanks everyone for participating in the fun events of the boards and our little web site. Thank you also for those of you who put birthday signs on my daughters stateroom. She loved that.

Got home today after 3 days in Madrid. The cruise was awsome. So nice to meet so many of you. Traveling...not so good. Missed connections, misplaced luggage, delays. We stated our vaca a day late, missed a planned flamenco show in Barcelona, arrived a day late, and spent 5 days with only the clothes we were wearing. Fininished the vaca arriving home to discover that they had put the Syracuse luggage on the Albany Plane, and no luggage on our plane at all. Yeah US Airways. Do you think they actually have a person working there, or only monkeys pushing buttons. Disney however was awsome from start to finish, and every person we encountered. I have said it for years, my vacation of choice is Disney.

glad to see everyone is arrving home safely we just got home last night after over 20 hrs traveling (75 mins! whoa!) we spent 3 days in Barcelona, mainly seeing Guadi sites, didn't make it to Monsterrat (did you John?)

we enjoyed those we got to chat with on the cruise and sorry we didn't connect more with others. there is just never enough time! going to laze on the couch today and sort through photos, would love to see a couple of your favorites from the trip!

Sniffle. Home just isn't as magical... I mean, last night at dinner, no one offered me a choice of desserts, and I certainly wasn't "forced" to have two of them because I couldn't make up my mind... OH THE INHUMANITY!!!

Was truly a pleasure meeting many of you - sad I didn't get to meet everyone. Next cruise, right?? (I think this is the start of another expensive addiction...)

Made it home late Friday night. Worst part was clearing customs in Los Angeles! Ahh, home sweet home. It was great meeting all of you and a special thanks to Jeff/Monstro for working the website. We truly feel like we've made some new friends for life with the bunch of you (sorry Dan, Eillen and Abigail, you're stuck with the Ashes now!).

It was a great trip. When do we start the thread for the Eastern Med trip in 2013? (fingers crossed).

i forgot to mention and give a heartfull THANKS to Jeff for his sales-pitch on booking onbaord we booked a 'dummy' reservation and Paige and I have hopes for an Eastern Med one too!

lawyergirl -- you're a girl from my own heart...desserts, desserts, desserts i was really pleased with the Sweet Temptation offering most nights, that was new to me. i knew i was truly spent on the last night when i left dinner barely touching my dessert. i was toooooo full. did anyone get in the midnight dessert buffet early enough to get good photos?

I was wondering if anyone had any positive or negative comments on tours booked on your own. I was to chicken to do that in an area I was totally unfamiliar with, but group tours just are too large. I'm looking for input for next time.

I almost feel like doing the same cruise again and doing our own thing would be fun and different.

Hope you are all settling into life in the real world. Jet lag and all.

We miss everyone we met on board. We had such a nice time.

corbett744: We did a private tour of Rome and it was fantastic! We saw so much more than any of the tours and did them at our own pace. Because we we were in an SUV, we could duck around any traffic problems that the busses could never use.

The only problem with a private tour is that the ship will not wait for you if you are late returning to the dock.

It was wonderful meeting you all! I hope you had as good of a time as we did! Sooooooo sorry it's all over

We got back on Saturday after a few extra days in Barcelona.

Great to meet a lot of you. The kids made a lot of new friends too. Emails are going out daily now.

To the op that asked: We did private tours in Rome and in Florence. I wouldn't hesitate to do them again. We had a driver and a guide so we got dropped a lot then picked up at a designated location. We didn't have to hurry to stay on a schedule except to just get back to the ship on time.

Truly miss not being on the Magic right now though since we have probably done our last Disney cruise.
