7/18/2010 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo!!

Hi Everyone:

We are seriously considering the July 6, 2008 Northern European cruise. We did the Med Cruise in 2007 and the Panama Canal cruising in May 2008. This cruise seems as tempting as those ones did. We always have an awesome time with Disney.

Does anyone know what time the booking for this cruise might start on the 14th?

I can't believe that I'm this excited for another cruise before we're even booked. Even though our ressie is in very capable hands, I'm still going to be a nervous wreck at my rotation tomorrow. Can't wait to get home and keep checking my emails to find out how much this is going to cost. Linda & I are both looking forward to this, we'll do what it takes to be on the ship! I see a lot of overtime in my future once I'm licensed.

Those Summer Nights with the Mouse for another idea.

It will still be light out until between 10:00-11:00pm. I have pictures of sunset at 10:30pm and the moon coming out all from our verandah, it was very wild. This was after leaving St. Petersburg.

How about we put the ports inside each sail and then put our quote somehow around it? I'll send the pic to Tara and see if she can come up with something.

How about something like this for a tie-in - small globe or map of Baltic Regions with the Small World/Viking ship on top with our ports in the sails, or highlighted on the map? Something like that? Not to be a spoilsport but would hate to run into any copyright infringements. I know that on one thread we went through is and the bottom word from Disney was that as long as we didn't sell it for profit, we could print it on t-shirts or something like lanyards as long as it was for personal use. - was that for this thread? Gosh - can't remember. They are all melting together.

Northern Lights and Magical Delights is the name I'm liking best so far or it could be changed to Northern Lights and Disney Delights. I also just love the Small World type logo idea

AH!!!! That explains the silence around here. OK - so we'll just have to come back and win the next four! I grew up on the Dodgers but of course was some some ##-years ago. The Dodgers of old. But at least we got further this year with Torre then the last 20 w/o.


Its a step in the right direction.

The only thing I could come up with to include all the ports would be a spin-off of it's a small world. We could rewrite the logo to be "The happiest cruise that ever sailed the Baltic Sea" and surround it with landmarks from each of the ports.

OK guys - I'm being super bad - I invaded again - I hope they don't get mad but just wanted to keep an out so we see where we stand.

I agree with JoAnn in that I thought it was nice that the 7/6 thread made it a point to say they stayed away from anything similar. However, I'm not so sure I would do the same. I be a after all.

Anyway, here is their poll results so far - and they will end on Saturday - even if we decide to go with something similar (assuming we want to keep it) we can customize it with the logo too. I've highlighted the ones that are similar to ours.

OK - Ms. Dudly-Do-Right Tell-No-Lie struck again. I figured that since the 7/6/2010 thread was nice enough to stop by and tell us they were so kind as to stay away from a similar title, I thought I'd tell the 6/12 thread that we were anxiously awaiting their poll results so that we could tweak ours (if necessary) in the hopes that we can stay friendly. I do not want anyone getting feelings hurt. As I told them, its bound to happen that great minds think alike. After all, we are like-minded people with a love of Disney. So while it may bring initial heat, I explicitly told them that I hope it doesn't cause hurt feelings.

Their are many wonderful DIS friends going on that one and I wish them all good luck. Besides, they'll be breaking ground for us and we may need all the help we can get from them.

Anyone think I overstepped my boundaries? If I did, I'm sorry I was just trying to be nice and not get anyone mad at each other. I sorry!

Hey there - I was trolling the other sites. Yes its midnight here. Been having trouble sleeping so the insomnia has hit right on target. I'm nervous seeing as we have several trips "tentatively" scheduled. Not sure if we can do them all but I hope to at least do two. I'm biting my nails as it is. I can't imagine what my stomach would feel like if I was doing the booking. SIGH!

I decided that I would like to settle for a cat 10 or 9 if I have too. Seeing as this is a port intensive cruise plus extended day times - DH would like it at least 1/2 way dark so he can get to bed. If we get a cat 10 that would be an inside with no windows so he'll be asleep in no time.

But as you know - God laughs when we make plans. Or is that Mother Nature? Either way, I am holding my breath until the chips land. And if for some crazy reason I'm allowed to do both, I may be eating "beans on toast" for the next 18+ months (but no fear - I love pinto beans! )
