Good morning Ladies & Gents, I am off to hockey (whispering):lmao: :rotfl:

Did you not want to wake anyone up this morning?!? :cloud9:

Hey how about this for luggage tags. I contacted a company who will do them. The top (square) one is probably the best one as this is rigid like a credit card and the design is printed directly onto it and the back is pre-printed with room to write your name, adrdres etc.

They will probably cost about $6 each including shipping and tax

I made up a new first post for our next thread, which is coming up soon. I combined Izzi's links and the pirate list into it too. I did cut the pirates down to only the 1000's, since this is how we'll be doing it going forward. If you want the others back in, not a problem. I also added a link back to this thread for easy navigation.

I'll post it by itself in my next post. Please give me feedback for anything you'd like changed.

Also, whoever posts it as the first post will be responsible for editting and upkeep. If somebody wants to take this on, that's fine with me. After all, Danielle, Izzi, and Mrs G all did a great job with the Ballyhoo'ers list, the links, and the pirates list!! If nobody else wants to do it, I'll do it, but it may take me a few days to make any changes. Let me know.

7/18/2010 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo!! Part 1

Hey how about this for luggage tags. I contacted a company who will do them. The top (square) one is probably the best one as this is rigid like a credit card and the design is printed directly onto it and the back is pre-printed with room to write your name, adrdres etc.

balticballyhoo.jpg

They will probably cost about $6 each including shipping and tax

Those are really cool Izzi!:thumbsup2

We'd definitely be interested in some of those.

That's really good of you Julie, how about as we've got so long to go we take turns in doing the 1st post for each new thread. If you do this one coming up I'll happily take the next handover

Awesome teamwork too! I love being a Ballyhoo'er!!

Julie, when you're ready, just quote the post with the "first post info" and then you can copy and paste everything. You'll probably want to start it when we're a page or 2 from hitting 250 so it's started before they lock this one. That way you can also post a link in this thread to the next one. The other thing you may want to do is add a line to PM yourself to be added to the roster. Thanks for doing this, and thanks in advance to Izzi for the next one!:thumbsup2

This is for Laura, and anyone else whose signature is vertically challenged. I reworked the logo a little bit, so that the font could be bigger when you shrink it down really teeny tiny.

smallworldmovedwordinglogo_edited-1.jpg

If you want to use it, here you go. This is it shrunken down to the same size as what's in your signature. I like the original better, but you can read this one a little bit better when it's so small. (If you don't want to use it, don't worry about hurting my feelings. I'll just cry in the corner here.:lmao: )

I'll do it, Mike, no problem . . . and Izzi, I had thought that we probably could all take a turn or two in the almost 2 years before we sail -- it will be funny to imagine how many iterations of this thread we end up with!

Those are really great.
What are the rectangular styles like campared to the square one?
Is this company in the UK or the states? Just curious.

The rectangular ones are made of soft vinyl with a pouch at the back where you can slip in a piece of paper with your address details etc.

The company is actually in the US as at the moment I can't find a company here in the UK that will produce less than 500 and they also want to charge £35 setup fee. I'm still working on it though as I've got lots of time before I need to order anything :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Hi everyone finally getting a chance to check in. Was out shopping for kitchen curtains today. No luck. The weather is dreadful- rainy but not so cold just damp!
Izzi- I love the tags!!!! I have a food question. I was watching one of my favorite cooking shows- Jamie Oliver:love:   ( I hope you can introduce me to him when I come there, by the way !!!) the recipe calls for a "crumb pit" ?? It looks like a muffin of some sort- maybe our version of what we call an English muffin, but the one on his show is not as flat as our english muffin- this was thicker and seemed softer than our muffin- any ideas!!!
