My choices for flights going out on the 30th are 12:35 and 4:15. I don't like the 12:35 time since I think that's cutting it too close. I don't like the 4:15 flight since that means we have to sit with our bags since they can't be checked until 3 hours before flight time. We did that last time and had to sit for 3 hours in the terminal before we could go thru security. Looks like we will be doing that again since I don't want to book the 12:35 flight. I wish we had a 1:00 or 2:00 flight we could book but there isn't one. :sad2: :headache: :sad1:

Good Morning!

We are flying Delta non-stop leaving the 14th at around 6pm and the 30th sometime late afternoon both through Heathrow.

We're starting to look at the excursions as well. We decided to research the must-sees for first-timers as we might not return to some of the ports. Anyone know any good sites that give a list of must-sees for 1 day in port?

What at the children's ages? Please let us know what you find out.
You are included in Robert's free drinks for ladies, in fact you get more since you are arranging the bus transfers. :upsidedow

All children under 5 are free. For each fare paying adult 1 child 5-15 goes free.

Now not often I get called a lady - at the sandwich shop the other day I was "love" which some what amused me as he either thought I was old or was trying to hit on me, I'd like to think it was the latter.....

1235 is definitely too tight. With current security you will need those 3 hours to check in & pass through security so would need to be at the airport by 9.35. Even if we arrive & debark spot on 8am it only gives you an hour and a half to grab your bags & get to LHR.

It looks as though the bike tour in Tallinn that has a lower age limit may be run by Estonia city bike Ltd & they do have child seats and tag along type things, so for people like me excluded as the neither of my girls are 12, this is a viable option & reasonable based on last years prices ( 250EEK (roughly£15/$22), 50% discount for 7-15, smaller are free of charge)

Looks like Celestine is the tour-finding Queen of the group, and even better for finding the deals for the kids. :worship:
Thanks for posting all the info you are finding.

Hi all:goodvibes
Getting excited now the excursions have come out. The plan right now is to go with DCL for a Berlin tour and on our own for every place else...but that might change.

Thinking of doing a segway tour of Tallinn so I sent an email to a company I found online
http://www.supersegway.com/index.php?page=estonia

Not sure if there are other companies that do this kind of tour.
Anyone know?

St Petersburg and Tallinn are the ports that I am concentrating on for the moment.

I've been out of the loop for a while. Has anyone found private tours for any of the other ports yet?

This tour company was just doing their press party the day we were in Tallinn in 2008. They didn't have any info to hand out to us when we asked for it. So they may be the only Segway tour company in town.

:goodvibesGood Afternoon All:goodvibes
Good Evening Derek & Celestine & all you other Brit's:worship:
Had a very busy morning!:headache:

Sorry, I'm so used to people spending my money I figured I'd do it to someone else. But then the DW's have to stick together.
I think we need to keep our spouses away from each other in London, tonight DH said he wants to go to the Portobello Rd. market Sat. morning.

Us as well we should make a morning of it!:thumbsup2

You do all realise Portobello road is nothing like Bedknobs & broomsticks or whichever film that song comes from? I took father-in-law there as he kept going on about it & he was rather disappointed - not entirely sure what he was expecting though! Off to watch Grays Anatomy - series 6 starts here tonight!
