Julie can you please add KathyInCitrus and her traveling companions to the postcard list in the first post? thanks

Robert, I can't believe I'm going to be saying this  , but I think you may be right on some deals for the Baltics cruises.

I was wondering last night how many people listed in the first post are still booked on this cruise. There are so many we haven't heard from in a long time.

Yup!:sad2:

Hello everyone. Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. It's been a bit busy at work. Please sign us up for postcards and fe. Disney has us booked in the new Park Plaza Westminster.

Andrew or Julie or anyone else, do you have the fax number to IC so I can send in a brunch request. I'm taking over the one brunch request list that Mike had and need to re-request the private dining room.

Julie more for you to add to the postcard list in the first post. Thanks

I think that's the website I posted on here a few days ago, it's back a couple of pages. It's not even open yet.

Firstly I now can confirm,

PAID IN FULL INC TIPS!!

I know, we are still quite full there is some switching around or fall out, but to back up this, in the UK, they have offers on Med 2010, and Med 2011, including free kids upgrades etc. They are advertised regularly, online, email, and in papers.

Never seen a single promo for these cruises, and they leave the UK!!!

Julie will remember this but the 07 Med thread had 1,500 posts in the first year but ended up at 18,000 on departure. I know lots of people lurk, but do not post, until we get to Shore trip and Palo booking time, flights and hotels etc.

We have seen some drop out, not everyone posts every day, or even week, or month.

I have done it twice in the past but with the change of computers i lost it but will check up my stored back up files that are online.

Palo Room

Fax to:
Inventroy Control DCL 1-407-566-6910
Attention: Hassle Free Specialist

You need to fax your request and all your info in ASAP to the Palo Dining Specialist. These requests are filled on a first come first served basis...unless you are a DCL VIP. Your called 30 days from the cruise to confirm and review the list of guests. They need to have the full name and reservation number of each guest along with the room number. They will let you know that any existing Palo reservation for those guests for the same meal type will be cancelled as all guests are only allowed to have one resie for each meal prior to boarding...actually until the end of the first afternoon on board. .

Thanks Andrew
Thanks Julie

Congrats Andrew on being PIF :thumbsup2

Thanks Andrew

Congrats Andrew on being PIF :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Its nice to know its done all before Christmas, have the 'base' tips pre paid as well. I will have to add concierge and also an extra tip for the stateroom host as the room is large.

But all done.

Next on the list is thoose Shore trips, where are they.

Congrats on PIF Andrew. We're about half way there, but did buy 2 large tins of choccies today in Asda (Walmart) for the kids club CMs. The BBE date is end of Aug & I figure they won't last long! It's nice knowing I can buy them without worrying about the weight!

Off to a craft show tomorrow with Lauren, so lots of make & take & scrapbook stuff whicH I'm looking forward to - I need a break from this double entry bookkeeping. I feel like I'm carrying forward & bring down in my sleep!!!!

Celestine

We will probably be spending 1 or 2 nights in London before the cruise. Is there an option to not use a Disney hotel but then use the Disney shuttle to get to the port?

I've never been in London and I think I'd feel more comfortable with Disney transportation so I know we will get there with plenty of time to spare.

Thanks, and have a nice weekend everyone.

I cant buy thoose tins of Chocs, even for Christmas, as we will just tuck into them one night. Nice thought and yes nice to know Flight restrictions will not apply to us this time. Great to go to Tesco, on Saturday and take it onboard on Sunday.

Enjoy the craft show.

Its possible to get transfers without hotel stay, I have done this in the MED in Barcelona, but it will only be from their hotels or airport. Ie I did Port>Airport, but to ask DCL. Another option is to ask Celestine as she is organising transfers.

DCL will not pick up from other places other than their appointed locations worth asking them or TA, PS DCL buses tend not to get there in good time, they tend to arrive lunchtime so if you want to be early on they wont be there then.

I'm pretty sure you can, you just have to book on your own one of the hotels Disney will be using . . . in other words, you can't have them pick you up just anywhere, but you don't have to book the hotel through them. I'd call your TA or DCL just to be sure.

You will certainly get there earlier if you use our shuttle transportation (arranged by Celestine), though -- DCL buses aren't known for getting to the port early.

It's funny you mentioning Asda. My friends, in England, and us call that the Alfie and Alexa store after their oldest DS and our DD. It was the easiest way for him to remember the name of the store before he could read being it started and ended with an A for the 2 of them. That name always brings a smile to my face and a good memory.

For the craft show you are going to can you explain the 'make & take' part of your sentence? :confused3 To me that means you actually go to the show and make things there and take them home, is that correct? If so that's different from a craft show here where you buy things others have made.
Just trying to get a bit of an education. :upsidedow

I am truly starting to believe that there will be last minute deals available for these cruises!:rolleyes1

That of course is another possibility - cancelling and rebooking at category 12 if available....

As I recall, with the 07 Med the aggressive discounts didn't appear until a couple of months before the cruise - definitely within the 90 days. Given that there is very good availability for this cruise now, and there are likely to be drop-outs at 120 days, and they will be highly motivated to sail full - it wouldn't surprise me if they do something to fill the ship come April/May/June. That could make the difference in my case....:cool2:

The only aggressive discounts were on the transatlantic crossings with free kids or free tips on thoose, the early late Meds had some low level discounts, and DCL, did the 'standard' discounts, the same as Caribbean sailings of Cat 12 offers, where a few people decided to downgrade to take advantage of thoose back door discounts, Our 7/28/2007, Cruise was a best seller.

We might see a little 'offers' for the Baltic, no one knows how many people book and then cant find the cash, or an family event stops them from traveling. But I understand the Baltics overall are filled up the same as 'holiday' season Cruises, and better than standard Caribbean cruises. As posted before, we had adverts and editorials on the Meds 2010 and 2011 here with some offers, but no offers for the Baltic.

We even have the DREAM in our national papers today.

Quick good morning, All! Happy weekend!
