I am not Andrew but Ford sold Jaguar & Land Rover to Tata motors of India!

That's right, I do remember that now. So I own a Tata, well appropriately I own 2 Tata's.


Figured I get the out there before anyone else had a chance to.


At least they are still using the Volvo safety standards and engines from when they were all owned by Ford.

Hi Ballyhooers,

Well, I'm sad to say we gave up our death grip on this cruise. We were trying to figure out a way to swing it. But I just got my student loan payment info and Yikes! It's more than I was expecting, kinda like another mortgage. That, coupled with a lack of available overtime, means we're not going to be able to make the trip. Sometimes it sucks being a grown-up. We did transfer our ressie over to the Dream for June 2011, so at least there's something to look forward. We are definitely going to miss traveling with our old and new friends on the Baltic Ballyhoo cruise. Wishing you all a great trip!

We'll definitely miss you - especially Lauren as she was looking forward to hooking up with Haley again, but completely know where you are coming from! Hope you have a great time on the Dream

Congratulations Andrew! When is full payment due? We've been counting pennies here lately.

Well at this point I should be doing my PIF dance, but so far havent had confirmation from my TA, I assume busy re something called the DREAM.

I have to pay in full a bit earlier as I have a suite, my PIF was Very early February, but I wanted it out of the way before Christmas, I have a few other thnigs to focus on, and as I didnt go for the DREAM, I was in a position to pay off and pre pay standard Tips.

I assume your date is later....

Me too, I pick up my new Land Rover this afternoon. Just went looking yesterday afternoon and got a good deal on an '09 LR2. I have been researching cars/suv's on the internet and we did go looking the other day when the car dealers were closed and I couldnt' find anything else I liked and I wasn't going to settle on something I didn't like.

I know for my kids Alice and Stephen it has worked very well in the past, they have got to know a lot of kids in advance of the cruise, so have ready made friends before sail-away. Stephen has a habit of bumping into them as soon as he is on ship. They book still keep in touch with quite a few kids.

Stephen has one friend from two cruises, Cade, for an example.

its one of thoose things trying to get it going, then it will take off. But if it doesnt get going, they will give up.

I sympathize. I'm watching closely and will hold out until March before making a final decision, but it's going to take some very good fortune in the next 4-5 months in order make this fly.

But the way I see it, worse comes to worse I can roll the deposit towards the Wonder PC cruise - which even though more expensive than the last PC cruise, is a LOT less expensive than this one (more so when you consider transportation costs).
