I also watched the Celebrity Apprentice last night and now I want to make cupcakes!

Be sure to look at the Thinkpad line. Lenovo hasn't screwed it up (yet) - they are great in terms of reliability and support (i.e. - you can actually speak to someone who is knowledgeable and speaks English 24x7).

For those of us who depend on our laptops for a living, Thinkpad has been the #1 brand for many years now.

However, I'm seeing more and more people going with Macs and running Windows under a Virtual machine (VMWare or Parallels) to get the best of both worlds.

You are a wealth of knowledge.

No school again tomorrow. DD is very upset that she has off another day, she doesn't want to have to go any longer in the summer than she has to.

Wow -- I didn't think it was bad enough to warrant two days! Have they not been able to plow the streets to make them all passable? My girls are back tomorrow . . . Too bad about adding on to the school year -- when will Alexa get out for the summer?

No school again tomorrow. DD is very upset that she has off another day, she doesn't want to have to go any longer in the summer than she has to.

If we miss one more day, it will push me past a weekend into the next work week.........so no more snow days!! I'll take a delayed opening though.

Wow -- I didn't think it was bad enough to warrant two days! Have they not been able to plow the streets to make them all passable? My girls are back tomorrow . . . Too bad about adding on to the school year -- when will Alexa get out for the summer?

Just wanted to drop a quick line. I'm not dead, I may feel like it soon. Lots going on here - I have been itching to get on the DIS as I have sorely missed you all however, things here have not been good. My immediate family is fine but I believe that the time has begun to run out on my FIL. We are on the way to the hospital and Steve has taken April who's been running a fever and a cold for the last 3 days. He seems to think that this may be the last chance for her to see him. I just got back from an errand and I left my phone at home so I did not get the message. I just wanted to drop you all a line to tell you I'm alive and could I please request you all keep my family in your prayers. The long awful day is fast appoarching and timing is extremely bad but with your prayers - we'll get through it. I will try and get on later this week - (our router was broken and our internet was out all last week).

Thank you all and I have REALLY MISSED you all.

The school she goes to has to pick up kids from all over the county since she goes to a vo-tech school. Apparently a lot of schools are going to be closed again tomorrow, we didn't think it was that bad either.
She was supposed to get out 6/10 or 6/11, not sure when it will be now.
