Wow, finding a sister so late in life. Hope that goes well:hug:
You've got an aunt you didn't know about too:hug:
Is your Dad angry with his father :confused3

I often wonder what my Dad would have been like if his Mom had let that other couple adopt him:confused3 Adoption to the right family would have been much better than the group homes they had my Dad in:guilty:

Well, my dad wasn't as surprised as most would be, apparently, when his parents broke up back in the 50s, there was a woman who kept calling his home looking for him, I would guess it was the "other" woman who was pregnant with his child. My dad got over his dad many, many years ago. Crazy, huh?:grouphug:

Thx for sharing...... .......just this year, my dad found out that his 50 YO dad had put up for adoption a sister that was conceived after his parents split up. She found my dad last June and they plan to meet this summer.

This stuff is no joke, we need to be more responsible as a culture to protect these children.

Wow, these people certainly were precocious 'back in the day'.

A friend of mine found out she had had an older brother when she was 51. He is like 14 or 15 years older than she is. Now it gets even weirder, she has 2 older brothers, with whom she grew up with, when her parents were 'married' for 50 years they had a party for them. A year or 2 later her mom passed away and it was after that she found out her parents didn't get married until 2 or 3 years before their 50th anniversary party. She was hurt at first over all this but did get over it and now she laughs over it. She's also very glad to know her newly found brother and doesn't hold any resentment towards her father for keeping it from her, even tho many family members knew about him.

'Nite all. I'm on Caro's schedule for the morning. :cloud9:

Watching the Bachelor.......anyone else??:confused3

Wow, who needs soap operas, huh;)

Nope, I'm getting ready to watch Medium.
I'm kinda a scifi/fantasy nut:upsidedow

I have watched the Bachelor in the past though. Always boggles my mind that these gorgeous women put themselves through this stuff. Is Krista the only one who had a happy ending:confused3

I didn't watch her wedding, but I did catch some of her hubby's bachelor party:laughing: Where she goes off looking for him:rolleyes:

As far as I know she is the only one with a successful relationship from the bachelor/bachelorette shows.

Well if it continues until tomorrow then I'll be out. :sad1: Heading up to NYC for a Martha Stewart Show taping that will be shown on Friday and then to Junior's for lunch.

Sorry Izzi and Caro that I had to mention NYC, but it's not for a DIS meet just going up with a couple friends.
 I forgive you!

i watched the whole thing, it was really a guilty pleasure.....they're still married, one son and one on the way!

Now I see why you were mentioning Brazil. Now DH is talking about Ireland, but it all depends on what happens Thursday at mediation. Then he also mentioned going back down to WDW and looking for a house. So who knows right now?!? :confused3

Stace won't be changing her mind and going on this cruise with us, she's already booked a 5 day cruise earlier in July for Virgil's daughter's wedding. She wanted us to go on that with her, she forgot when this one was. :sad2:

I had also gotten used to the location of the other smilies and keep having to look these over. :headache:
But at least these are back and easy to find, :dance3:
If I get to vote on your summer vacation, I vote for you coming up here!

OK, so how do you know Stace? :confused3

So you are getting to see my lovely Seattle! :thumbsup2

Well via TV.........my dad visited Seattle back when I was a kid and he enthusiastically showed us pics of the needle and the Redwood forests.:goodvibes :goodvibes

This time it's not my fault!:confused3

Izzi and I are just going to have to stay away from the thread for a few days near the end of the month.
What's sad is another group of internet friends (from the east coast) are starting to plan a get-together too. :sad1:
