No:scared1: No need for shame. You very well may be the most traveled person I know:hug:
Actually I was also hoping to get you to consider Brazil for your August trip:rolleyes1 Looks like you'd have more fun up north with Caro though:thumbsup2

Yeah, I saw that on facebook. I'm just hoping she changes her mind:confused3

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Me too

Yeah, I came very close to picking an inappropriate smilie for what I was posting:laughing:

Now I see why you were mentioning Brazil. Now DH is talking about Ireland, but it all depends on what happens Thursday at mediation. Then he also mentioned going back down to WDW and looking for a house. So who knows right now?!? :confused3

Stace won't be changing her mind and going on this cruise with us, she's already booked a 5 day cruise earlier in July for Virgil's daughter's wedding. She wanted us to go on that with her, she forgot when this one was. :sad2:

I had also gotten used to the location of the other smilies and keep having to look these over. :headache:
But at least these are back and easy to find, :dance3:

Are you referring to the Virgil who's on my cruise on July 18th?

Be sure to share the details!!:hippie:

I'll give you a head's up for finding me in the audience, I'll be wearing a red shirt so I should be easy to spot. :upsidedow

Actually, the entire audience has been instructed to wear red since it's the Valentine's Day show. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'll try to tape it!:cutie:

Andrews Odd question,

WHATS EVERYONE DOING THIS SATURDAY?

mickey-minnie-valentines.gif

We have friends with a country house in Connecticut and we have been invited to spend a few days there this weekend -- my poor city dogs go wild when they see all that land to go off leash in!

Wow, I had heard that the schools out in the midwest started their practices much earlier in the summer. Andrew's doesn't start until August. But the first week of the 3 weeks in August was 2x a day (7-12 and 6-9) for a week. He was exhausted Then after that I think it is only once a day-five days a week. I'm not sure as Andrew missed the second 2 weeks of band because we had our PC repo trip. I was shocked they let him stay in. September was rough as he was a freshman.
That is great that your DD picked up a new instrument her senior year. She's not afraid of a challenge
Is she going to continue in college ?

They practiced Mon, Tues and Thur 9 - 3 with the day broke up with just playing and then just marching and then marching and playing, Wed they went 9 - 12 and if you had private lessons - you were supposed to schedule them for Wed afternoon or Fridays - this was their schedule for the whole summer

Once school started, they practiced 6 - 9 Tues and Thur night's

Then depending on what time their performance was scheduled for a competition they could practice up to 4 hours prior to leaving - then we would bring food to the field - watch their full show - feed them - pack up the truck and send them off -

We were at a band competition and they were 'killing time' before the finals started and the 'master of cermonies' made the comment
"What the government needs is to elect marching band parents - who else can get 200 students packed up and herded onto buses within 15 minutes or so"

Which is sooooooo true :rotfl2:

I never new U had to pay for that sort of thing? :sad2: :sad1: :scared:
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:sad2:

Well, this woman better be careful, b/c the whole world is watching and she looks like someone who's missing a few marbles.........C & Y Services may get involved with this one!
Yea, I was wondering what happens when you go and have way more kids than you can afford:confused3
I'm sure she's expecting lots of attention and may be a cable show like "Jon and Kate Plus 8":sad2:
My Dad's mother put him in foster homes when he was born as she couldn't afford to take care of him. Then she wouldn't let this other couple adopt him. He didn't live with her until he was 13 and by then the damage had been done. My Dad has a lot of problems because of the way he was raised and stories like this woman (where kids are treated like property) really make me sad:sad2:

Where's the beach one??:confused3

I never get to use that one so I didn't notice it was gone:guilty:

So are they on our cruise???

Sorry, I've really confused you tonight.
Virgil is on your cruise this summer. Next summer they are doing an earlier Med or Baltics cruise and then just before our's they 5 day Wonder cruise that his daughter will be getting married on. That's the cruise I was asked to go on by someone else that is going.

That looks rather interesting. I think a DIS meet should be planned for there to learn about their culture. :thumbsup2
But where is Herndon?

It's in northern Virginia. We've been going to this place for years for special occasions. DS got his first taste of caviar there when he was 3 years old:rotfl:
(The kid's got expensive tastes:rolleyes: )

It's close to me, but a bit of a hike for everyone else.
Their checken kiev is awesome though:rolleyes1

Thx for sharing...... .......just this year, my dad found out that his 50 YO dad had put up for adoption a sister that was conceived after his parents split up. She found my dad last June and they plan to meet this summer.

This stuff is no joke, we need to be more responsible as a culture to protect these children.

Ok, that's more clear.......I was trying to figure out the 5 day part! There can't be too many Virgils on these boards!:)

Wow, finding a sister so late in life. Hope that goes well:hug:
You've got an aunt you didn't know about too:hug:
Is your Dad angry with his father :confused3

I often wonder what my Dad would have been like if his Mom had let that other couple adopt him:confused3 Adoption to the right family would have been much better than the group homes they had my Dad in:guilty:
