Yes Andrew- we have been spending every Easter vacation in Disney for at least 14 years now- unless there a miracle in the economy n the next few months we will not be going this year!!!
I was in the mall yesterday- haven't been there in a few weeks- I must say, the sales are unbelievable- the Gap for instance , had half of the store marked with signs that said 50% off, buy one get one free- it was all brand new merchandise- I have never seen that before Christmas- it was like the after Christmas sales!!
I am still going to WDW and my August cruise in 09, in part as the cruise was paid off a long time ago, but I expect our UK tourists to be far lower.
Central London is actually very busy, lots of Europeans coming in to do Christmas shopping here, is very cheap now for them, and that might help our sales, Now however I do expect a game of 'cat and mouse' between our shops and the customers, on sales, many expect to see pre christmas sales so will hold off buying until the last minute, however, imports such as Laptops will go up due to the exchange rate.

For those that kmow - UGG boots never go on sale - got the rubber soled short boots for 1/2 price. Laura Scores! Got 4 Christmas presents knocked out of the way plus my brother's family out of the way with a gift card. I'm doing good - (now how to tell DH that I spent $$ at Mervyns - they are at 40% off everything in the store. ) Did I mention I got an eco-drive Citizen watch for $100? I paid $200 for mine at WDW. Go hurry - open, open, open.
