Oh my gosh ! I think we live in the same house :rotfl2: !!!

I have been planning this cruise for 7 of us ! And I've had a ball !! I almost think planning is more fun than going :scared1: No, you didn't hear me say that !:rotfl2:
I know what you mean. I feel a little sad as we approach the trip as I know once it starts it will be over way too soon:guilty::upsidedow
Plus with the trip reports giving the details on how DCL handles the ports and such-relaxing a bit about it all now:cloud9:

Thank you so much, I have been craving information.
Kay
I'm reading all the reports like crazy too:thumbsup2
There is a blog for the next sailing already started by Jeff.

Looks like they all had a very good time, sea in the Baltic was fine, just a bit bumpy in the North Sea, the second Baltic has gone off in hot humid but cloudy weather today.

Nice to see trip reports, some have emailed me and had a great time, bar thoose parking at Dover, care on getting a flat battery as the radar sets it off.

So the question is how much sun screen to bring:confused3
Do not want a sun burn:headache:

Do bring it, whilst our weather is very chagable, its also deceptive, ie if you are in the Carribean you will know its sunny and put sun screem on.

But we can be overcast, but the rays still come through, so you think you are ok, but can burn.

My worst ever sunburn was at Walton on the Naze, Essex, that is on the North Sea, overcast all day, burnt like a BBQ.

Oh yeah, I've gotten burned in the shade more than once:rolleyes:

I use a moisturizer with sun screen on my face all the time, but need something in a bigger cheaper bottle for the crew.

It is on my list (along with bug repellent for St Pete)-just wasn't sure how much to bring. I guess one bottle is sufficient to start with:confused3
Can always get more in port if needed.

Hey Andrew,

We're also parking at Dover; what do you mean by this ?!?

Had a report back today that they returned from the Baltic and had a flat car battery, they called out the AA. The cars are parked on the pier, and it seems something sets off the alarms, maybe radar. So lock on key only and do not set the Alarm otherwise it wll keep going off.

I think one bottle is fine, you can pick up lots in the UK, at Boots Superdrug and any chemist or large supermarket.

OK, Thanks Andrew ! We'll keep that in mind !:thumbsup2

Glad we ordered our Euros and pounds months ago.:thumbsup2

Hallo Ballyhooers!

OK, I saw someone post that at Stockholm everyone had to get off the ship. Does anyone known what is up with that?

Also, we saw that the Tube workers are planning a labor strike, about 2-3 days before our cruise. What are the local thoughts re this strike - will it affect London much?

Thanks

Ken

I vaguely recall something like this (Stockholm)for the non-US citizens in Port Canaveral :confused3...so maybe its revenge;)

Were you planning to sleep in or just stay on the ship at Stockholm?
Doesn't affect my family as we were getting off anyway.

yeah, we had to guess on what we thought we might need:confused3

Just felt better having some cash on hand. Any big purchases go on the credit cards.

Hey -I'm planning on dragging the DH to Magic Quest the first night on the ship.

Anyone else planning on going:confused3
I missed this on the PC repo cruise and the pictures and stories the others told afterwards were hysterical.

Anyone done this before?

Excellent, I always wondered if they sold sunscreen outside the USA. ;) Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2

From what I heard it is like an adult scavenger hunt. Like Match your Mate you don't have to partcipate in the game to enjoy watching the folks who do play. I think its called Magic Quest...

Gotta find things on the list and it is adult themed-so it can get pretty funny.
Mike (from Philly-who used to be on this cruise) participated on the 2008 PC repo. Loved his pictures:lmao:

adult scavenger hunt

You work in teams, things like male wearing a bra, a women who is wearing men's shoes, male wearing lipstick

etc etc etc
