The Only One You Really Care About is the Doctor Who Final! ::yes::

:yay: Happy Saturday All :yay:

Silly question alert

Ok - been looking at menus at Disneyland Paris and they list Coca-Cola Light, Coca-Cola Zero - which one would be more like Diet Coke?

:rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

We have to get used to it as well, in the UK its Diet Coke, but when we go to Europe have to remember to call it Coke Light, however most tourist places know, even if you say it wrong.

Lemonade is another one as we have the clear soda Lemonade, thats nearly Sprite, but in Europe, Lemonade, is more like Bitter lemon and lemon colour, a bit like tango.

Not a lot happening here today, must be the hot weather.

DCL site says:-

Only 22 days until your cruise sets sail! (19 days left to cancel shore trips.)

Three week mark tomorrow.

Lots more reports on the Baltic thread etc, and trip reports, including immigration at St Petes and Dover.

Kids thread active, asked my kids to post.

Did anyone book private room at Palo? Brunch or Dinner?

Did you see ad hoc Palo bookings available on navigators for the second day in St Petes, Brunch and Dinner.

Considering currencies now. What to take, etc.

Glad pre paid basic tips.

Going to ask to go to *late* dinner at St Petes, maybe both nights.

Andrew...when it says OSLO 8:30-4:30. Is 4:30 the "back on board" time ??

2nd night in St P....might eat at Topsiders. Have never done this. How's the food ?

Did you ever get your tickets from Anastasia ? :grouphug:

Yes thats our port time and they are off quickly after that.

Topsiders is good for the evening, a mixture of service and help yourself, there are items from the main dinning rooms, its fine as an alternative.

No Tickets and no response from my Email prompt but is weekend.

I am spending some nice time this weekend researching. We were thinking about picking up a couple of bottles of wine in London before we head to Dover. We are staying at London Bridge Hotel, and I noticed "Vinopolis" is very close. I can't tell how big a deal this place is. We probably don't have time for a serious tasting, but does anybody know if you can go in and just buy wine?

If not, any suggestions on a wine shop in the London Bridge area?

Thank you,

Its OK,-its a 10 min walk from the station through a residential area, but towards the Globe which is nice, - there is a Marks and Spencer at LB station, which has a reasonable selection and at good prices, you can look for Tesco, (Tesco Express) and Sainsburys they have some as well.

Do walk through Borough Market, its opposite the station next to the ld church, under the railway bridge, it has old English food, pies, cheeses etc, and its rather quaint.

London Weather,

Would you like this in a week or two?

Thanks for the reply, but wondered about the back on board time when we're in port. In the example I gave ( Oslo 8:30-4:30 ) is 4:30 when we have to be on the ship OR is that the time we're sailing ? Thanks

Reading all these wonderful posts and reports makes me think DCL really dropped the ball in the Port Adventures dept. Compared with other cruise lines we've sailed with, DCL did a poor job describing these tours. Most are expensive and I would like to know what I'm getting ! This our 8th Disney cruise and 30 total. But don't misunderstand me. We LOVE Disney, are DVC members, too. But there's always room for improvement !

I would assume that unless they are waiting for the late return of a Disney sponsored tour that they are sailing away at 4:30:confused3
We are aiming to be back on the ship about an hour before the allboard time in each port.

Julie (Bellelinus) was the one that convinced me to go with the non-DCL excurions on our PC repo cruise. She posted about a zipline tour in Puerto Vallarta that was much less expensive than what DCL wanted and they had a lower minimum age as well. Plus our best excursion on that trip was a pirate ship snorkle trip in Aruba that was also non-DCL. Just seems that you usually get more for less money when you do it yourself on the cruise excursions:confused3

Now before anyone flames me I do appreciate that you can also save yourself the aggravation of researching spots and the worry of missing the ship when you stick with ship excursions:thumbsup2 You just pay alot for that and for me not worth the extra money:confused3

I've enjoyed researching the ports:goodvibes Plus with the details from the previous cruises feel ready to take it all on:woohoo:

BTW-just realized I should check...of the people participating in the FE exchange..do any in your cabins have allergies? Like if there are any nut or peanut allergies or anything else that could cause a problem?
