7/18/10 Mickey's Baltic Ballyhoo Part 6

Me thinks some are suffering from Bus 1 ENVY!:ssst::snooty:

Ok, you guys are refering to the buses we are taking to the port:laughing:

I was getting paranoid thinking I was stepping on someone's toes with additional unneeded info:rolleyes:

Go Bus #2:cheer2:

:rotfl:

Well not a tip on how to sop as I'm sure you don't need any:rotfl:, but as part of the UK's green plan, many retail places now charge for carrier bags e.g. Disney store, M&S food, so I suggest carrying one somewhere unless you want to keep paying!

 Are you talking about shopping bags? Plastic or Paper?;)

Don't forget to check for discount coupons (www.moneysavingexpert.com) (currently £7-95 for burger or main course salad and a drink). Also use this site for Giraffe, Zizzi, Pizza Hut, Pizza Express amongst others

Thanks for that great money saving tip Celestine. :thumbsup2 And Laurie, that burger place looks great. Made me start to drool popcorn:::cool1: Think we'll have to try that place out.

All right, for you DVC members, have any of you tried upgrading your stateroom? Knowing that some of the cash prices have gone down, and that the number of points used is tied to the cash price, I called today to see about upgrading. They told me they had a contracted rate (probably much higher than the current cash price) :headache: and that it would cost me extra points to upgrade. They also said they have a team specifically that calls members to let them know if there has been a reduction in the number of points needed and therefore one would qualify for an upgrade.. Guess for now we'll stick with our Cat. 11. We'll be so busy we'll probably only use it to change clothes and sleep :rotfl::wizard:

Also, did I read on the planning thread that fuel surcharges are being credited to our accounts?

I just looked through my paperwork and came across a letter from DCL saying that each member of our stateroom would be getting a $100 stateroom credit. One of us is on points and the other cash but it looks like we'll both be getting it. Thanks, I forgot about that!

Thanks for this tip. We had planned on taking a couple of bags with us when we go ashore in Germany since a couple of the shops didn't have bags at all - good thing we had our backpack with us.

Yes Laurie we are talking about the bus we are on to the port. I hope you are on bus 2 since I gave you a big cheer.

Thank you -- good point!

BTW, is Stilton cheese any cheaper across the pond than it is here?

Thanks,

What did you do in a past life to get hit by both? I suffer from psoriasis, but find sunshine and lack of stress helps - both of which are in short supply! Have they given you any kick *** meds to help it on its way? Not sure what you get in the US compared to the UK

no clue - guess just my luck as a red head - touchy skin

I have a script for pills once a day and cream I can use 2 - 3 weeks a month due to steriods and I get shots 3 times a year - get my shot July 2 - and I can't wait

Did find that chorline really causes a reaction with me, and of course spent so many days pool side when Kara was competitively swimming / training 7 days a week

Maybe they could give us wristbands like the children or Paddington bear:
"If lost please return to cabin xxxx"

I so need one of these - sign me up

had terrible storm roll thru here earlier - lost power and every thing - of course power comes back on just in time for bed

I was wondering if anyone booked with Anastasia is going to a ballet. if so when did they squeeze that in?

 Are you talking about shopping bags? Plastic or Paper?;)

Plastic bags - very few shops here use paper bags. Of the big retailers I would say it is only Primark that uses paper bags and some of the boutiques, but the bags there probably cost as much as the goods:rotfl2:

Thanks,

I'm going to the supermarket today after the little one has been to gym practice so I'll get a price and post it later. I'm not into "smelly sock" cheeses so don't know off the top of my head, but will investigate

Wow! I don't think we have injections for either. Tends to just be varying strength of steroid creams. Years ago potassium permanganate (I think that's it) were used which were purple crystals you dissolved in water & then bathed the affected area, but I don't think that is done now. As a psoriaisis sufferer since a baby I've tried most things including dietary changes etc. and I've just had to learn to live with it
