Happy 4th July!

Apologies for not replying sooner on Friday we had to have our beloved cat, Smokey, put down - she was 17. Both girls were pretty torn up, but have selected a kitten from our neighbour which we collect after the cruise. So update me Ladies and Gents,

When are you all coming across the pond?

And who is staying in London and where???

We are arriving in London on the 16th and will be staying at the Rubens at the Palace. Post cruise we will be at the Renaissance Chancery Court.

We do plan on trying My Old Dutch as you and your DD recommended a while ago. It sounds yummy.

So update me Ladies and Gents,

When are you all coming across the pond?

And who is staying in London and where???

We leave tomorrow for London and get in July 6th at 10 am. We will spend 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Express - Mayfair. We are going to see Lion King one night. The kids are excited about it.

Then we will head to York - 3 nights. Then Inverness - where we meet up with my brother in law and his family - 3 nights. They live in Saudi Arabia and we haven't seen them in a year so we are all really excited. Then we head to the port staying 1 night in Cambridge and 1 night in Canterbury. We will meet up with the rest of our family on the boat.

I can't wait to meet everyone on the boat. Hopefully I can check in with everyone when we get there. I am not going to know what to do without checking the blog 10 times a day.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

See you soon,

Sarah

We decided not to Stockholm on our own. We are going to do the Skansen Museum and Swedish Fairytales. We also just booked Tallinn, Estonian Architecture and Art for Families. Still doing Oslo and Copenhagen by ourselves though.

Wow, Sarah, you sound like you have a packed vacation BEFORE your vacation!!!:rotfl2: Have a great trip and see you soon!

Celestine,

So sorry about your cat. I have a 16 year old cat named Smokey, too. They really become part of the family and are missed. At least you have a new kitten to look forward to!:yay:

You asked about FE cabin #6089. I think that is Sandy "Smilis" who is a late comer and asked to be added. Hopefully they will respond to your inquiry.

Celestine, saw something on the internet written by a guy who had just lost his cat and it kind of stuck with me.
He said, "it is amazing that something so small can leave such a big hole in your life when they are gone".

The kitten will help, that was what we did when we had to have our cat Reebock put to sleep in 2008.

Still miss her though...

Congrats to Lauren:thumbsup2
She's been in gymnastics for a long time, right? Remember you mentioning it before. Love watching those competitions!

Yes, I think cabin 6089 is Sandy (Smilis).

We're flying into Heathrow the morning of the 16th and staying at Parkwood at Marble Arch.

Wish I could fly in earlier but I'm using all my available vacation time at work as it is.

Just gotta go back to see all that I've missed.

Do you know that last week I went to Gatwick, then Heathrow, and was looking at luggage labels and didn't see any for DCL or clues they were on a cruise, some have old labels on them, most wouldn't have attached the cruise ones as yet.

But....................

At London Bridge tube saw a family and the teenage girl had a Castaway Club lanyard on her!!!! And today at Thomas Cook, when I got my $1 bills I was asked what for, replied Disney cruise, ohh one of are staff have just come back from a Baltic Disney cruise and it was fantastic.

So if you see a strang bloke looking at your luggage ask are you ADUK????
Aloha Andrew,
We are arriving July 15th into LHR and staying at the Park Plaza County Hall.

aloha,

Great. We will be on that one as well. I decided to stick with DCL as this port worried me with DIY and I want no worrying.:rotfl::rotfl:

We are leaving Denver on Wed the 14th arrive Thur 15 at noon. Staying at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. Taking DCL transportation to Ship.

We have not received letter or call about time change in Stockholm. We are on the 11:15-3:15 Stockholm,Vasa & royal Armory tour.

Park Plaza Westminster Bridge. We arrive the 17th and are taking DCL transportation. If we can fight off the jet lag, I'd like to see Westminster Abbey that day - one of the few things I wanted to do last trip and never got around doing it.

We are driving, so expect to arrive in Dover the morning of the 18th. Would have taken more time in that area, but DS#1 going to a camp that doesn't finish until Saturday morning! DH and I both have to work on Friday as well - last minute, so had to beg for the time off. ha ha.

Looking forward to meeting everyone! We are in cabin 6506.

We have that excursion as well & have not heard anything from DCL my guess is that the start time will be moved up!:thumbsup2

:wave2: Good Morning All :wave2:

We are Roman Catholic and would really like to go to Mass Friday or Saturday before the cruise. We love the thought of a historic Cathedral of some kind, or a quaint chapel in London.

We are in Kensington Friday/Saturday and Holborn Saturday. Any suggestions?

Thank you!
Marie

We arrive bright and early on July 16th, and we're staying at the London Bridge Hotel. We're also headed to Liverpool for a Beatles pilgrimage!!

Sorry about your kitty, Celestine. I have a 16 yr old dog I saved when I was a "young" veterinarian. She's my best buddy and older than both my kids. You're in my thoughts.

Beth
