6pm free parking

We are planning on going to UO, but want just the last hour and not have to pay the $30. How flexible are they with the no pay parking? I mean, if I happen to show up at the gate at 5:50 or 5:55, will they expect payment, or just let me thru? Or do I have to wait until 6pm exactly?

Yes - if the parking booths are still manned by TM, you have to pay. You will see cars that pull over waiting for the TM's to leave.
