.................

Since IT groups are pretty much a big part of any company nowadays, I'd say try any of the Baltimore branches of big companies such as T. Rowe Price, Legg Mason, AON, Zurich. Also there are quite a few hospitals that always need computer people. You can find them all in a search when you figure out what area you are going to be living in. And there are a few military bases so government jobs should be and option too.

NC Beast has been sent offers from IT companies in Greenbelt area recently--turned them down because we love NC right now. Be prepared to commute---traffic tends to add a lot of time in the Baltimore-Washington corridor. I used to love the metro/bus lines in No. VA/DC/MD. I miss going to the Smithosian museums on a whim. Real estate taxes can be a pain in many areas--more for any water view/access. Weekend traffic on Rt. 50 is heavy during the beach season (OC is popular weekend getaway). Annapolis has some smaller companies and lots of shopping. The outskirts of Annapolis are nice (I grew up about 1/2 hour south of Annapolis).

Monster.com and other internet job search engines are great for putting out feelers.
