I ordered a Grand Traveler ($47.20), a XL Duffel ($43.20) and a Metropolitan ($39.60) all in Folkloric. Shipping is free (over $100). Total was $141.54 (with tax). I was waiting for a sale like this!!

I did this a few days ago because I was planning to get a few Christmas presents, not even expecting this sale to come along. I ordered some of my favorite pattern Folkloric, but I got an email stating 3 of the 5 items I ordered were not available (a book cover, lunch box and a tote). I hate spending $5 on shipping for 2 items (a notebook and a set of binder clips). I ordered at like 2pm est. The items I ordered at still on the website for sale, but are sold out. Weird. I wonder how many others will buy and find out they're not in stock. I called customer service, but I couldn't get through because their office wasn't open.

Okeydokey, I think you'll really like the Grand Traveler. I've used mine several times, and really like it.

ETA: I was disappointed not being able to get the book cover, but I ended up purchasing a nice handmade one on Etsy. It's a nice blue and green flowered pattern. So, I get something useful and pretty while supporting someone who creates things, even though it's not Folkloric.

I got some things today, too. But several things sold out between the time I put them in my cart and the time I checked out. It was my first time ordering so I also got the $20 off, free shipping, and I used Ebates for 3% off as well. I love the Folkloric print. I wish some of the things I was trying to get weren't sold out while I was checking out. I really wanted either a L or XL duffel. Oh well! Still great sale!

Yes. I looked last night and the grand traveler in Folkloric was sold out, as well as other styles that I wanted. I looked again this morning, and they were restocked. Now, sold out again. Your best bet is to check early morning.

I know very little about Vera Bradley, but I am putting together an auction basket for our local library fundraiser. I saw the sale & put together a nice assortment of items in the Folkloric pattern. Is this a pattern people would bid on at a fundraising auction? Should I have different patterns or just one? The assortment includes a tote, wristlet, wallet, crossbody, notepad, pens, keychain & few other things.

VB is such a personal taste thing, there are some patterns that I find are just not my taste. I happen to love the Folkloric pattern. Sounds like you have a nice assortment and something I'd bid on in an auction! Good luck!

My order hasn't shipped either. If you go to Customer Service on their website, this is the message they have:

Shipping Alert
Due to severe weather in the Fort Wayne area, our distribution center was closed July 1-2. We are experiencing a delay in processing online orders placed between June 27-July 3. We appreciate your patience as we work to process these orders as soon as possible.

It doesn't normally take this long to ship. Hopefully, we will get our orders soon.
