This was our first full day of our vacation and we were all pretty excited. We had breakfast at the club lounge. They had a mixed fruit bowl, lots of donuts, bagels, cereal, and these little mini muffins that were fabulous! There was always plenty of food. Whenever they even got close to running low on something, they would replace it. There were about 3-4 staff members working in the lounge at all times and they seemed to be on top of things. A couple of times I had to let them know when the orange juice or milk dispensers were empty and they got right on it. After breakfast, we all grabbed a bottled water to take with us to USO. One suggestion I would have made would be for them to refrigerate the bottled waters and soft drinks. Everything was left at room temp. We took the water taxi to City Walk. It was a very pleasant ride. The lines to get into the park were pretty short and we were inside and ready to have fun in no time! We headed straight for, you guessed it, the MUMMY! We used the free lockers that were available and it was a fairly simple process. The Express line was not too bad. We waited maybe 15 minutes. The ride was awesome! I was a little worried at first about my 8yr old DS, but he loved it. In fact, he wanted to ride it again. We ended up purchasing the picture from the ride because my DH loved the look on my face. It was pretty funny. We then rode Jaws, Earthquake, MIB, and BTTF. We loved them all. I was a little worried about BTTF because I heard it was a rough ride and since I am somewhat prone to motion sickness I wasn't sure how I'd do. I turned out to be just fine. It's usually the spinning rides that get to me. By now it was time for lunch so we headed to Motown. I can't remember what anyone ordered, but we all liked our food and the atmosphere was really neat. I had a clearchannel GC, so the bill wasn't too bad. After lunch, we headed back to the HRH for some pool time. I loved this pool! It was pretty shallow, which some people might not like because it would make it difficult to actually swim in. It was perfect for just hanging out in, though. The zero entry was nice. The slide was fun, too. I am not one to get my hair wet when I go to the pool. I usually just walk around in the water to cool off, but I had to check out the underwater sound system. I spent some time just floating on my back listening to the music. It was really cool! After a couple of hours, we headed back to the room to get changed. By this time, the club lounge was serving the evening offerings so we stopped in. They had chicken on a stick, cheese cubes, and I can't remember what else. The chicken was great! We ended up not needing to eat dinner after this. Good thing, too, because I think we were all too tired to go anywhere else. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. They also had cookies out at about 8:30. I think they were a white chocolate macadamia cookie. They were very good, but not quite as good or big as the one that disappeared from our room the night before! They also had Chips Ahoy and Oreos. Well thats it for day 2. I'll be back later with day 3.
