We've been to MK twice with our daughter who's only 2. The first time we went she was a year old. We want to take her again but we have a newborn that will be around 6 months when we go next. Can we ride any of the rides with him? Did anybody use a baby bjorn at the parks? We can't wait to take them but just wondering if the baby will be able to enjoy anything.

There are a ton of rides he can ride. anything without a height restriction. Which is most of the rides.
Whether he will be ok going into dark places and on moving rides...only you can decide that.

It's actually easier to list what you can't take them on. We took our DD at 4 1/2 months old the first time and took her on several rides. We could have taken her on others but she would fall asleep and we would take turns riding so as to not wake her.

Here's a list of rides with height restrictions and you CAN'T take the baby on:

MK: Big Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain
Space Mountain
Stitch's Great Escape
Goofy's Barnstormer (has closed but will re-open as the Great Goofini --don't know if the date has been released yet)

EPCOT: Mission:Space
Test Track
Soarin'

AK: Dinosaur
Expedition Everest
Primeval Whirl

DHS: Tower of Terror
Rockn' Roller Coaster
Star Tours (will reopen in May)

Also there are some things that make it more difficult if you're holding an infant like: Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story Mania. You can't aim and fire at targets with one arm holding a baby on your lap. Also some rides may not be appropriate for an infant like the Teacups because of the spinning.

I took my 6 week old on rides. I also took her brother when he was 6 weeks and her sister when she was 4 months.

I do personally avoid teacups with them when they are little--too much of a fight with the centrifugal force even if it isn't that much. And I am not into spinning for fun.

A 6 month old can very much ride most anything except your "coaster/mountain" rides/height restricted rides.

Many rides are suitable for feeding baby (I nursed.) and to get them down for a nap.

Yep. The only things your 6mo can't do are the rides with height restrictions and that's limited to a few rides per park. I agree with the PP that while the teacups don't have a height restriction, you may want to think twice about taking your baby on there. I'm not even as concerned with the centrifugal force as much as with the spinning and what it can do to little tummies. The last thing you want is for your 6mo to be emptying his stomach contents all over you.

We took our 3.5 month old in January. He could ride anything but the 'big' rides. He really liked the ones with lots of lights & music. The shows were good for him too.

We did use a baby carrier. I used something like a Moby wrap & my husband used the front carrier. These worked well for us & sometimes made it easy to get on & off rides. One note--for Dumbo babies can not be in front carriers for the ride.

We took DS at 5 months and DD at 7 months, and as others have said the only things they couldn't ride were the 3 or 4 height restricted rides at each park. It wasn't a huge issue to us, but then again neither DH or us are huge thrill ride people, so we were just as happy not to ride the mountains.

We took our son when he was 4 months old and he went on everything that didn't have a height restriction. Just put him in our baby bjorn and away they went!

I took my son in a Baby B'jorn when he was six weeks old and he could ride almost everything. We did pretty much everything other than Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the water ride (can't remember the name), and Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom. He SCREAMED all the way through The Haunted Mansion. I felt horrible and thought I had ruined everyone's ride. My dad and daughter were in the next car and didn't even know he was crying so, apparently, their sound control is spectacular!

This is great to know! We are going in June, and our son will be 10 months old. I figured he would be stuck in the stroller while DH or I took our DDs on the rides. This makes me happy! :cool1:

We went when DS was 9 months old. HE LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the Finding Nemo ride at Epcot. We rode it so many times, I still can't get that song out of my head!!

We went this past year with my DD who was 8 months old at the time. She was either in the Stroller or Baby Bjorn. she was awesome and went on everything she could. She loved small world, Winnie the pooh, and was always looking around.

We took our tiny ones on all the rides except for the coaster-y ones. You may want to look into an Ergo carrier, though. The "dangle" factor with the bjorn all day may get uncomfortable for your little one and they are known for not being great for their spine because all of the weight is in the crotch area. Ergo type carrier keeps them in a sitting position with the weight distributed correctly and can be worn on your back as well as the front. :thumbsup2

DH and I have to agree on this! We took our DD who was only 5 1/2 months right after Thanksgiving. She loved everything except the dark rides, and the gun fight in the Great Movie Ride, and for some strange reason "Turtle Talk with Crush". Tried it 2 times and the show broke both times. She abosolutely loved the Nemo show and Lion King Show at AK for all the motion and music. And she was not afraid of any charaters at all. In fact she recognized Minnie and grabbed nose to give her a kiss. Highly recommend Crystal Palace as the characters were extremely gentle and friendly with her. Took their time for her to reach out and smile back at them.

Just take it slow, and easy and listen to their cues. You know their "TOO MUCH" cry vs I am tired...

Glad to hear this. We are taking my daugher who will be 10 months. After reviewing the section on WDW with kids last night in the Unoffical Guide, I became a little apprehensive about taking her.

Thank you all for you response! I'm excited to know that he'll be able to enjoy MK as much as all of us!
