6/7/11 - It's a double dip DREAM!

Did anyone else get the spa special while we were onboard the ship that had the neck and shoulder massage, facial, hair conditioning treatment, etc? There were like 8 things. Anyway, my husband surprised me with it one day.

The guy who did my treatments was fine (not as in good looking but as in he was an okay enough person) and everything went well. He put some stuff on my face and told me I had to stay out of the sun for the rest of the day (it was our full day at sea - so that wasn't awesome) and he put the above mentioned conditioning treatment on my hair and told me not to wash it until that night.

Oh. My. Word. I put my son's pictures on the computer and he snapped one of me w/my greasy hair. It is HILARIOUS. My hair is SO gross! It was soft enough afterward, I guess, but oh, it was hard to wash that grease out. Just wanted to share that with you guys. I wish I knew how to post the picture because it's hilarious!

3. Maybe I'm not "spa-savy", well actually there's no maybe to it - I'm NOT spa-savy, but how strange that they would sell services that require you to stay out of the sun on a cruise! Not sure I would have made it.

I did! We booked a dummy date since the dates for 2013 aren't out yet. I already had the June 2012 cruise booked before we went on the June 2011 cruise. Yes, I am hooked on DCL. The best part is that I live only 20 minutes away from the cruise terminal in New Orleans. I have only cruised out of there once for my honeymoon 18 years ago. I would prefer to go to Castaway Cay! Yes, call me crazy........we would rather drive the 11 hours to Port Canavaral.

We did the same thing. I'm thinking about the same time in 2013 as we did in 2011. We definately want 7 nights though. We are considering going back to the Magic or Wonder - although my daughter is adamant that we are going on the fantasy. Obviously, I've raised her right.

We also booked a dummy date and plan on June 2013. My boys really prefer Disneyland to World so we are going to Disneyland 2012. Call me crazy but I really don't want to drive halfway across the country to CA and then halfway across the country to FL in the same summer! We actually booked 2 dummy cruises ( well, technically 4 since we have 2 rooms on both cruises). Since my boys don't care to go back to DisneyWorld, I convinced my husband we needed to do back 2 back 7 night cruises ( we did b2b 4/5 night this time)- 7 night Western followed by a 7 night Eastern!

I wish I had gotten to meet everyone. I was helping my 80 year old parents get settled and dealing with my very cranky 50 year old, first time cruiser, brother!

Just wanted to check to make sure you received the shirt. I hope it didn't grow legs and walk away. I delivered it the 1st full day on board if I remember right. Hope it arrived safe and sound and that you had a wonderful cruise.

We booked a dummy cruise for 2012. We will be changing that to summer of 2013.

DH let me know he wants to do another cruise instead of our usual trek to WDW.

We did - me, DH and DD (will be 5) booked for April 10, 2012 - another 5 night double dip on the Dream - it's DD's spring break (the week after Easter).

My in-laws rebooked too, just the 2 of them, also a 5 night double dip on the Dream, for June 2012. Apparently I sold them on cruising, just not cruising with me.

My trip report is finally finished, link is in my signature. I'd love to hear if you had similar experiences...

As much as we actually SAW my in-laws, they might have well been on a different cruise! Gotta LOVE the family dynamics! I swear my MIL was TRYING to avoid interacting with my DD! *grr*

At least MY mom is still awesome

I would've liked to have rebooked... Or at least talk to the rep to hear/see the great prices you get while booking onboard. I'm not sure when we'll get back on a boat... Next year we're going to give Hilton Head a try, and then, fingers crossed,, Aulani in 2013... That is a wishful trip as it will be a fortune to just get the 6 of us to Hawaii, before we have to start having fun!! That's the only part I'm not sure we'll be able to get past... That and it's 420 DVC points for 1 week!!! But we would like to at least try Hawaii once... And then if all that goes to plan, we'll probably shoot back to WDW in 2014 to see the new Fantasyland... It's crazy to already be thinking about vacations 3 years out!! But with a possible HI trip in there I guess we sort of have to get cheap flights!
