I read in the Unoffical WDW that on the days of Early Entry, Magic Kingdom opens at 6:30 a.m. We are staying on site from next Sunday to Thursday. Unless we go real early on Thursday, we won't be able to do Early Entry for MK. Is the park really open at 6:30 a.m.???

6 days to go!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Early Magic Hour is usually one hour before the park's official opening time. Our last trip over Spring break, all of the EMHs began at 8am. Perhaps the Unofficial Guide copy you have is an old one?

it does depend on hours.

I know during last Christmas the parks opened at 7...that's the earliest I have seen it lately.

we were just there June 4th-19th and all EEs started at 8.

The previous program, Early Entry, had one park open 90-minutes early, so on a MK-EE day when the official opening time was 8:00 a.m., Early Entry would indeed be 6:30.

The new program, Extra Magic Hour, is exactly that -- one hour. So on most days when the Magic Kingdom opens at 9:00 a.m., EMH would begin at 8:00 a.m. On rare days (like maybe Christmas and Easter) when the MK opens at 8:00, then EMH would begin at 7:00.

Hi Swilphil,

Unless it's a holiday, the Magic Kingdom will probably open at 8 a.m., as folks here have indicated. You'll usually only see the very-early openings during peak season, such as Christmas.

Let me know if you're reading the 2003 edition of the Guide, and I'll post this information on the website.

Thanks,

Len
