6/22 - 6/29 We're Getting Closer....

I'm trying to decide if I want to go see UP on Saturday or Sunday. Most likely on Sunday because we would go to a matinee (sp?) and it would be cheaper! (I think that's me you hear squeaking!)

My youngest nephew texted Kerry last night and said, that he doesn't think that they are going to Disney this yr. Think my brother is starting to back out - oh well, me and my family are still going and so is my mother and Aunt. I wish there was a way I could get the boys (my nephews) down. My brother and SIL, they could stay home - that would be fine!

Here's day 26:

We're sure getting closer... I am starting to get the warm fuzzies!!!!

Poor kids. Hate for them to miss out and I know you're kids would love it. We're taking my sister and niece this trip. Both have never been. My DD and niece are only 10 days apart.

Oh, I'm sure you will have a great time! It is so much fun to bring someone who has never been before.

My brother and I did talk and he is most likely going to have to cancel. He is within his 30 days though so he will just lose his pts. I'm going to try to get him to let me rent them for him and maybe with some of the money the boys could come down - very sketchy plan, but it could work! :wizard:

Well, today is 25 days out, here's my customary note card:

Don't really have that much to report today. Just thankful that tomorrow is Friday, even though it was a short week, I'm exhausted and can already use the weekend again!

Tomorrow I will be booking a scooter for my mother for the trip, she is making me wait until Friday to do it. I told her that I needed a cc number, because I don't want to use mine. She asked me to wait until Friday :confused3. I think she is going to give me a debit card, so I guess I sorta understand.

Oh well, dinner's ready - gotta go for today (gosh, my life is boring!) :lmao:

It's gone pretty fast, but I have just had so much to do at work! :scared1:

Thankfully, the weekend is almost here - can't wait, but boy do I need to clean my house - that is scary!!!! :scared1:

Did this week go by fast or is it just me?

Oh, that stinks when it's a short week, but feels just as long as a regular one! It's now Friday afternoon and the weekend is about to knock on the door. I'm going to lunch at 1pm and then I leave at 2:30, so my work day is basically over!!!

I am planning to go see Up this weekend like we were talking about before. Are you?

This week is dragging for me. It's the longest short week I can remember.

24 Days Out today!!!!

WAHOO!

Here's what day 24 looks like on the kitchen table:

24Daysout.jpg

This weekend, I need to clean my house like I mentioned before - it is pretty bad! I want to go see Up and I know that the kids and I are going to my mother's for dinner on Sunday. Dh is coaching a soccer team, so he will probably come over after he is done - but who can refuse a free meal, certainly not me! One less day I need to cook. :thumbsup2

I keep checking my Alamo rates every day and they are just out the roof high. The current rate can't touch what I reserved back in January, but I keep looking (just in case!)

As for Disney and planning, there really isn't much to do. I do have to go get my Disney GC from the Disney Store at the Mall to cover our meal tips and stuff, but that's really it.

I'm going to join in on your PTR! Some of our days will be overlapping on this trip! We'll be at Pop from June 24th (my birthday!) until June 28th. My plans are all in my PTR, so stop by for a read if you get the chance! :goodvibes Your kids are so cute!

We have dance recital on Saturday, so it'll be on Sunday. My oldest and his wife are stopping in on their way to Disney. His best friend is getting married there on Monday.

We're going to be at POP June 21st thru June 29th. We're celebrating my youngest birthday 6/25. My middle child's birthday in 6/23. She was suppose to come with us but doesn't want to spend 8 nights in Disney, plus she going to see Dane Cook in New Orleans the day we're leaving. My girls are 9 years and 2 days apart.

Awesome! Maybe we'll bump into each other! I was able to meet a few other DISers this past January and I'd love to meet some more! :thumbsup2

Hiya! :wave2: Thanks for joining in. I'm going to go over and read your report in a minute.

So there are a few of us who will be there at the same time - maybe we will run into each other??? How fun to be celebrating a birthday down there.

No birthdays in our group, I'm trying to get dh to go down for his 40th birthday in August right before our APs expire - we could use DVC pts and flights are real cheap right now, so it wouldn't be an expensive trip. My ILs are taking our kids to some ranch in upstate NY (Rockin Horse Ranch) for a week, so it could just be the 2 of us who go. The problem is it would really run down dh's PTO days, so I don't know if it would happen. I'm still holding out slim hope!

So many people I know have dance recitals this weekend, have fun! My dd used to dance, but gymnastics has kind of taken over not only her's but our entire family's lives. She really doesn't do anything else, no time. But I can say that her training from dance has helped her for her floor routine and even on beam, but not as much.

I would love to go to a wedding in Disney, that would be so cool - maybe Kerry will have hers down there some day. I will be broke, but it would be a great party!

Sounds like a great idea! I'll check out your PTR.:thumbsup2

Cool, thanks!

I'll have to go back and read your itinerary to see if we'll cross paths. I'm so excited to be celebrating my birhtday in WDW (even though we have a 7am flight on my bday). I never really do anything for my birthday except go out to dinner and have some cake. This is going to be the best birthday ever! :yay:

Adult only trip is a great idea. DH and I did it in 2002. We had a great time but we kept thinking how much fun we would have had with the kids. But we did enjoy our kid free meals.

We did an adults only trip back in 2005 for our 10 yr anniversary. My ILs came and stayed with the kids at our house (because Kerry was in school) and we went from a Wednesday to Sunday. We had a great time, but it seemed all we did was talk about the kids.

We did 2 cool things on that trip. We ate at Todd English's Blue Zoo and it was yummy! The other cool thing we did was the Segway Tour in World Showcase. I had so much fun doing that!!!! Can't wait until Dan is old enough to do the Segway Tour and then we can all do it together!

Hi all!

I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, so I will start my post with what day 23 looked like:

23Daysout.jpg

Dan really liked the Bolt themeing.

We did go see Up yesterday, we saw the 3D version. The movie was too cute. I cried at some points, I'm easily very emotional - and I laughed a lot. I highly recommend seeing this one. Even Dan got upset at 1 point. He's my rough & tough cream puff! I kept saying Dan you have to stop crying, you're too loud there are other people around us.

Can't wait to hear what characters will be in Disney, would love to see Kevin (the bird) or Dug (the dog), but they'll probably have Carl (the old man) & Russell (the kid.)

After seeing the movie, it makes me want to go to Disney even more. We're just a little over 3 weeks - it's coming.

Today when the kids wake up they will come down and see the 22 days out card (I think Kerry will really like this one):
