6-17-2011 Dream Cruise

We are headed to Disney's Vero Beach Resort after the cruise. Anyone else headed there also?

Trying to figure out the tickers. Can't post one until I have 10 official posts. Is there a way to put it into a signature or do I need to cut and paste each time? I'm such a newbie!!

We are wait listed for the early dinner. After researching, not sure if we want early. DDs are 12 and 10. Advise?

We have had early dinner in the past and enjoyed the time..I was alittle disappointed when I was told only late seating was available:eek: But I have had time to let it sink in and now I"m okay with it:lmao:

My girls are 12 and 9..There are a bunch of girls on here that are all around the same age:yay:

It seems that the early seating booked up fast. We were told it wasn't available even as early as last June when we booked. With our girls being older, maybe it won't be as bad.

Can you PM me with your girl's contact info?

Thanks,

Michele

I found this thread where someone scanned their navigators from a recent 4 day cruise. :cool1:

It looks like family karoake is on the sea day at 6:45. I didn't look close enough to see if they had it any other day. Also on the sea day is

1:30 Wine Tasting
3:30 Martini tasting
and
6:45 Karoake

I would prefer to do the martini again. But I will do either. I think the cost was $25 a person, it was A LOT of fun. Everyone was engaged and really entertaining.:rotfl: I know that it does fill up so one would have to sign up the first or second day onboard.[/QUOTE]

I'm in on the wine tasting! If it's like Vero Beach, you get a cute Mickey head wine glass.

I made one. Do you sew? There is a site called scrappingthemagic dot com and it has instructions on how to make one...sewn and non-sewn. Maybe that's a possibility. I'm no seamstress and found it manageable.

Michelle - you are almost to 10. lol My dh gets seasick too. We are going to call his doctor this week to see if he can get a rx for those patches.

We went to the beach this weekend, so nice for a little getaway. Helped with my vacation fever. Except....our Texas beach is NOT pretty!:rotfl:

I priced the Thanksgiving cruise out of Galveston...$4100 for oceanview. Considering that....but we aren't booking till we see if we like cruising. Dh and I didn't enjoy our Carnival one years ago. I'm sure it will be much better with DCL.

Are we going to do a meet up?

Hope you all had a lovely weekend...we did. See y'all in 2 months and 1 week!!! wohoo:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I know that alot of us are talking about our "plans" (or excursions). We are doing the Harbor cruise? Has anyone done this one??

I admit that I chose it because it starts really early (9:45 AM). This way we can get up have breakfast and head out so that we can get back to enjoy the pool and relax.

We are contemplating staying on board though, but I know that the kids will want to see something that we have not done before. (Especially the oldest one, the little one just likes to go.... anywhere) :rotfl2:

I do really need to make sure that I get ahold of that color changing nail polish at "Del Sol" and maybe some "Free" jewelry that is offered sometimes through that book that you can get on board. Not sure if that is still the case now a days. :confused3

I did buy my swimsuit!!! It fits and it it looks decent on me and to top it off it was really a great affordable price :thumbsup2

I also bought a new smaller compact Sony camera. I did not want to spend more that $100 bucks, but I think that I got what I was looking for :banana:. Still have some other items to get but I am thinking that May will be the month to get the rest done so that I can begin the staging and packing phase :goodvibes

Any information would be great!

Reese wants color change nail polish now!

I want a new camera too...I would like to get an underwater one tho! :scared1: They make a plastic case that goes around your normal camera to make it waterproof...but I'm too scared to ruin my camera. Altho I dropped it this weekend at the beach and its still ticking!

I'm a real nerd and made a packing list on a spreadsheet...well I started it, but haven't finished it yet. lol lol

Thanks Traci!!! I will have to check out that site:yay:

Claire's had mood changing nail polish. Is that the same thing?

Wal-Mart has underwater disposable cameras for about $8.

I too put my list on a spread sheet. It's the best thing to help with my pre-trip anxiety!

Lolita, Too funny... my DD12 thinks this is awesome too!

So, sounds like we have some karoake in line too! :cool1::woohoo: Did I read about some taste testing too? We did the martini tasting on our last magic cruise. We went with two other couples from the DIS and had a great time!!:yay::dance3: Anyone interested?:rolleyes1

Colleen

I am all in for anything that ends in "tasting"!!:rolleyes1 It is on my "to do" list to sign up for them once I get on board. I do not sing but I will be there to cheer anyone on!!:rotfl2:

Well, after wine and martini tasting I can't wait to hear the singing!!:rotfl2:

Any recommendations to bring for sea sickness? My DH got sick on an Alaskan cruise. Anyone tried ginger root?

We took Bonine and had no problems. :thumbsup2 The girls and I started taking it the day before as I wanted to be 100% certain it was in our system. We were fine, husband - who was stubborn and waited until that morning - was a little light headed  at the first dinner, but ok the rest of the time. It does not cause any drowsiness - I came to relax, not sleep!

:rotfl:We are choosing either or. There was/is a whiskey tasting at 2:30 as well, I didn't think we wanted that one. :rotfl2:

I too will be cheering on the Karoake.

I do have to say I only sing in the car, but after all that tasting who knows what I will do :rotfl2:

Sounds like we are in for some good times Ladies;)

You beat me to the Bonine! :thumbsup2 Def start taking it a few days before. You don't need a prescription. I get car-sick but funny thing is I don't get sea sick or air sick any more. Weird... I brought all sorts of seasickness remedies and didn't use any of them. Ginger chews, pickled ginger (I can eat a jar of that!), wristbands...everything. There are some downsides to the patches. Can't drink alcohol with them (not a problem if it's for your kids lol), dry mouth, drowsiness...I'm with Langegang on that one-I came to relax, not sleep!

I currently have the Del Sol nail polish on!! :cool1: You can buy it online if you don't have a store near you.

As for the tastings, I'd love to do one but since it's me and DD only, and she's only 18, I may have to pass :sad1: The martini one sounds great though.

When DD and I went to do karaoke (she was 16 at the time) it was late one night. I'm certain they would have more than one karaoke time...

Now I'm debating driving vs. flying....again. :sad2:

I had to have two drinks before I did it! :rotfl2: I used to only sing in the car. Friends have dragged me to karaoke since then so now it's a little easier :goodvibes

I'm very excited to meet all the families:yay:

Has anyone ever been apart of the game shows they have for the families?
