Is the picture in your siggie at the Grand Floridian?
Yes, we stayed in the main bldg concierge (RPC) in December for 4 nights. My trio loved playing the chess and checkers, even though they really didn't know how to play. It was wonderful  . My grandmother died in Sept and left us $$ for a Disney trip. she and my grandfather took us to Fort Wilderness camping every year. It was such a good way to celebrate their memory.

Wow...that's cool !!

I ck'd, we were put on late seating:scared1: Any chances of getting main once we get on the ship??:confused3 We have done both and did NOT like late at all. We weren't getting out to diner until 10:30 at night!

I am unable to figure out how to get the picture of our cruise in my sig? I copy & pasted but it showed up real big??:confused3

Thanks for posting this, I checked too and we were moved to main dining as well. :cool1:

I guess the "wait list" does work!!:thumbsup2

I guess I just thought it wouldn't be available. I thought I would have to be on the ship to get all of that done!:thumbsup2

Yea! We are down for main dining, too!

Last year we were on the wait list up until our sail date. When we checked in at port, we were lucky enough to be seated for main dining...so all of you who are still waiting....I'm sending pixie dust your way! pixiedust:

Wow! love the pirate logo, and I think it would make for a great magnet! I also really, really like the yellow Mickey head with the sunglasses - that would make a great T-shirt!! how would we do that?

We got switched to main dining as well - yeah! Although my dd is a lot older now (compared to our 1st cruise), she is still an early riser, early to bed kind of kid, and unfortunately, I cant bear the thought of eating that late - my stomach is turning into a senior citizen waaayyy before the rest of me!

For those asking about non-disney excursions, and how to be sure they are reliable, go to cruisecritic.com and look at the ports of call message boards. There are tons of comments about different excursions/operators and you can get a good feel for which ones have been around a long time, which ones have complaints, etc.

To answer the question about parasailing in Key West, we used Sebago and they were very good. Fury watersports is also supposed to be good. My dd was 8 1/2 then, and I felt very safe. We did the tandem, just because I was so nervous - she may not have weighed enough to go alone anyway. I originally wanted to do it on Castaway Cay, just cause I thought I'd feel more comfortable with Disney, but it was cancelled for a few months back in 2007 - some problem with the operator. So we decided to try it in Key West. After talking to the driver for a long time about the wind conditions, he really seemed to know his stuff, so I gave it a try! fabulous - I can't believe I almost didn't let my dd go because I was nervous. The only thing she is still mad at me about is that I didn't let them dunk us!:confused3

I will modify the "What Happens at Sea" and the "Sunshine Mickey" (aka Bra Mickey... long story) for our dates. I'll make everyone a magnet with the Pirate one. For the others, you just print it out on transfer paper for shirts or on magnet paper, etc. Go to the DISigns board for more info. I used to make 100s of designs and we all had custom shirts for everything. I burned out on it, but will love making stuff for our cruise for this group! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

We were on the 'wait list'. I even paid our trip off last week & asked about the main dinning. I was told they didn't assign dinning until about 30 days out!:confused3 When someone mentioned they got main dinning, I went on Disney & now it states we are are on late! :crazy2:

I love your logo you made, by the way!:goodvibes

Well, I have everything crossed for you. Did you figure out how to put the logo in? Just copy the one in my signature and paste it into yours.

Right click on the pirate thing in my signature and select copy. Then go to user CP and then hit edit signature. There will be a preview of your signature at the top in a box, and then a box at the bottom that you can paste. Go to the end of your current countdown timer and right click. Then paste.
